Also the urls cannot go public.

It depends on what you have set as the slug(url name) if you've been manually changing them. If we can see the site/pages live we can give a bit more guidance for sure.

Here is the codex entry on pages if you want the more offical word from Wordpress on the ins and outs of pages and their recommended structure: http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages

Hi hotspot,

Wordpress does not allow page names to be identical at the slug-name level. It causes huge issues with the database so we can't do anything about that unless the slugs are (at the very least) different.

Can you provide a link to the two pages and give specific details on what widgets are messing up and exactly how they should be behaving?

Keep in mind, if you have been removing and adding widget areas around a lot this can cause issues with how wordpress recognizes what widgets are supposed to be in which areas. This is a wordpress bug and not something we can alter and usually doesn't cause problems but it *can* if you are rapidly removing and adding widgets areas.

Regards,

Hi There,

We have pages with identical names.
When creating a sidebar for these pages the widgets placed in these sidebars will give problems.
THe move from location. Do the identical names is causing a bug

Als it is hard to see which page you are choosing to have another sidebar (since the nested structure is not visible when choosing a page).

Please resolve this issue asap

Hi ilowelife,

Try deactivating ALL plugins at once as it looks like one of the plugins is causing this to be adding once the page gets loaded:

a:hover{background-color:none !important; background:none !important;}

I don't know which one but that is why links are showing no background when hovered over. Re-enable the plugins one by one to find out which one is causing the issue.

Related to: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/choices-theme-style-options-for-header-not-applying-to-all-elements

My theme buttons do not have the correct hover state. I can't tell from firebug what's going on here, so I'm hoping someone will have seen this before or is better with the css stack in WP than I am.

http://www.onebigsturgeon.com

Any button created with the shortcode has an incorrect hover state:

http://www.onebigsturgeon.com/template-files/shortcodes/

I have tried everything I can think of:

1. Deactivated obvious plugins one at a time to see if it repairs the problem
2. Ensured that cache is disabled/empty
3. Reset Choices theme (removed my custom templates - ouch)
4. Re-uploaded all theme css files
5. Deactivated/reactivated choices theme.

A clean choices install on a different server is fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Can you post a link to your website please. I'm not aware of any custom core scripts (eg jquery ui scripts or jquery libary scripts) which are "hardcoded" into the theme source. This means that all scripts are loaded by using the standard wp_enqueue_script function: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_enqueue_script and Kriesi uses only bundled core scripts.

Hello !
I'm using abundance and events-manager pro plugin.
I've a problem with date picker on front end (not in back end).
Events manager Pro Support told me that both jquery versions are loaded on website : 1.7.1 and 1.8.
I've updated WooCommerce version which is the 1.5.6 one.

Of course I've tried to desactivate all plugin, even WooCommerce to see where was the problem.
I've tried date picker with twenty eleven theme with all plugins activated, and it works.

Is there a way to clear this problem ?

Look code in wp_head.

Thread from Events manager support.

as of 5.1.7 we’re completely using wp’s internal jQuery UI library, the only external library we use now is timepicker, which doesn’t exist in the jQuery UI (the day it does, we’ll switch that too). We’re integrating with WP as much as we can to avoid these issues.

I’m certain another plugin, your theme is doing something wrong here, this is out of our control. Looking again at your site, and actually this is somewhat surprising, your theme or WooCommerce is adding another jquery ui core library on top of the WP loaded one, meaning version 1.7.1 and 1.8.x is loaded together. I’d bet that’s your problem right there, and this is almost certainly Theme or WooCommerce’s fault.

Thank's for your help.

Hey!

Glad that you found the problem :) - basically if this kind of issue occurs check the allocated php memory and php execution time settings first - most likely you need to increase these values.

Regards,

It turns out problems are caused by the PHP memory limit. This can be easily resolved by increasing the limit within the php.ini file using MAMP Pro.

Instructions here: http://blog-en.mamp.info/2009/09/increase-php-memory-limit-with-mamp-pro.html

I am developing locally using MAMP Pro. I have installed Wordpress and then the Propulsion theme. Next I added the 2 recommended plugins - the Woocommerce plugin and the bbpress plugin.

I have a 2 different conflicts arising with the Propulsion Theme activated:
1. Propulsion Theme + Woocommerce Plugin = whenever I go to "Save all changes" in any of the Propulsion Them Options I get a messages saying "Saving didnt work! Please wait a few seconds and try again", I wait a few seconds, try again and I get the same message.
2. Propulsion Theme + Woocommerce Plugin +bbpress Plugin = blank white page/ viewport, nothing, not even an error message. Only way to resolve this is to remove one of the plugins manually from the plugin directory and refresh the page which in turn lets me know that the plugin is missing.
-- Number 2 conflict occurs with any theme activated not just Propulsion.. AnyTheme + Woocommerce Plugin +bbpress Plugin = blank white page/ viewport, nothing, not even an error message.

So to do any modifications to the Propulsion Theme Options on this local install I have to have to deactivate the Woocommerce Plugin.

I have also uploaded the same installation onto a server which results NO CONFLICTS what so ever when all plugins are activated.

Anyone else experienced this problem or have any suggestions on how to get the Propulsion Theme running with both recommended plugins activated on a local disk with MAMP Pro running.

Cheers
