Hey!

Ok, then Preopulsion probably won't work with the SMTP plugin. I'll tag this thread for Kriesi though.

Best regards,
Peter

You can find the form code in framework\php\class-form-generator.php - you're right. Kriesi uses the standard mail() function instead of wp_mail. I'm not sure why he doesn't use the wp_mail function but probably he has good reasons. You can try to change:

mail($to, $subject, $message, $header);

to:

wp_mail($to, $subject, $message, $header);

though.

Propulsion does not seem to be using the wp_mail function. I think that is necc for the SMTP functionality to work.

Hi Jim,

I've never used the plugin you mentioned so I can't be of much help. Given that Propulsion comes with its own form processor I imagine the two are conflicting with each other.

Dude has already been flagged to read this so hopefully he'll have an answer for you.

Regards,
Mya

I guess I don't understand why is there a need to use an email plug in when most people have email set up already. I have never had to use such a plug in as all my clients have their own email which I use to send the order form to.

If you don't have the correct email set up in the dashboard settings, then the contact form won't work properly..i think??

I'm using the WP-Mail-SMTP plugin to set SMTP email preferences. It's free.

It also has a test feature that you can use at the bottom of the settings to send a test email. All of its test emails come through just fine, but nothing comes through from the Contact Us form included in Propulsion.

I don't know where you set WP to use SMTP, but you need to have your correct email address under the dashboard/settings/general. This is the email address that Propulsion contact form uses.

Contact form shows success message (Your message has been sent! Thank you!) But nothing ever arrives.

I have WordPress set to use SMTP. I have sent emails to myself successfully from the SMTP settings screens - using the test functions, but nothing ever arrives from the Contact Us form.

Using the latest version of Propulsion and WordPress.

Hey,
Coronas contact form is pretty basic and it's a tricky task to implement all features you mentioned above. I can recommend Formidable which can do everything you requested above (however file uploading is not included in the free edition I think) or Contact Form 7 - it's not as user friendly and requires some work but is entirely free...

Hello,

Love the theme and for a total novice its been interesting, so thanks for tutorials.

Questions.

1. I want to have people send me documents as well as contact details , can I add a browse button for attachments to contact form.

2. Wanted to have two sets of boxes/ prompts (for customers and then suppliers), can this be done with thin line separator?

3. Keen to know how to create different size boxes, give them an outline (as white on white now) and title them to create more (as above)

Thanks for advice and keep up the good work!
