Hi,

Just add this at the very bottom of style.css to fix the header height.

#wrapper_head .center {
padding: 0px 20px 60px 20px !important;
}

And try this to fix the menus.

#top .nav a {
padding: 2px 6px !important;
}

Hello,

Beautiful themes and nicely organized site...I've been using avisio quite happily for nearly a year now. But now...

I have tried over and over to change the height of my header to accommodate a larger logo, (including the code below) and nothing works. It works when i do it in inspect element in the browser, but when i put the code in the child theme css, nada.

#wrapper_head{
position: relative;
z-index: 100;
overflow: visible;
height:150px;
}

http://www.oasistroncones.com/

As you can see, the logo is overlapping into the slider. Not good.

Please help??

Thanks very much,

Hi Devin,
First, sorry I got a bit impatient on that one; wasn't sure older queries were being checked as often, but I should have known better.

Second, that css file was created in BBedit and those special characters are definitely not in it. In fact I just ftp'ed it back to myself again to reopen it, in BBedit, and they are not there. So now i guess the question becomes why do they appear online? I've never had that happen before...

As a test I uploaded a file with absolutely no spaces in it and that was the only way I could get rid of those.

http://www.websitetogether.com/custom2.css

I suppose the best thing to do now is contact hostgator and ask them what the heck is going on; i changed to a VPS account and I have a feeling whatever is happening is related somehow to that, because it clearly isn't about the theme or about my file. I will update here when I get an answer, on the off chance anyone else ever has this issue.

Thanks again.

Hi kaylesimon,

It looks like you pasted in the css with hidden characters in it (maybe from Microsoft word or something like that). Take a look at your custom.css file live here: http://www.websitetogether.com/wp-content/themes/replete/css/custom.css?ver=1

Try editing your css/php files with something like notepad++ to prevent this kind of thing.

Regards,

I have been trying to do the same thing to no avail. In fact I've added the code in three different places: the quick css area, the custom.css file, and in my child theme, the style.css file. The code I've added in all three places is this:

body {
    color: #33333;
   font-size: 15px;
   line-height: 25px;
}

But the site keeps pulling from the base.css no matter what I do. Any notion what I might be doing wrong? The site is at http://www.websitetogether.com/avoid-wordpress-mistakes/

Hi, is there a custom css code (or another way) to enlarge the default font size of the entire theme? I was hoping your theme options in the dashboard would allow for a main font size, but it does not.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for a reply.
Yes I did and it seems that the problem got solved by itself.

I was logged as an admin in my shop and by default I didn't have a country entered on my profile, thus the system pulled the blank data from my account.

Every non-registered user is having "Poland" checked by default, so that's what I was looking for :)

First of all thank you for a great theme!
I'm exploring and enjoying it so far.

However I have a tiny problem.

I will be selling products just in one country (Poland).
I've already check only 1 allowed country in WooCommerce settings but I'm having problems to set it as a default selected option on the checkout page (where you put your billing and shipping information).

I've been trying numerous soultions found on the Internet but without success.
That would be most helpful, thank you in advance.

That's not possible in MarsEdit and that's not very user-friendly for my customers also.
And MarsEdit is only an example.

I hoped that I could set the template in the code somewhere.
If that's not possible then I can't work with this template.

Is there a template that his this possibility?

Tbh I'm not sure if this is possible. Flagship stores the template as meta value (aka "custom field") for each post/page and you'd need to set a custom field with the key "_avia_elements_avia_options_flagship" and the value:

array( 'layout' => 'dynamic' , 'dynamic_templates' => 'basis' )

I'm not sure if MarsEdit supports custom fields and if you can set arrays as custom field values...

Hi Dude,

the way I see it, is that this setting you gave sets the default value for creating a post within WordPress.
After this change, if I make a post in WordPress, the defaults are set to the correct values.

But what I want, is that every post I create, also from outside WordPress, gets the correct dynamic page settings.

So where on the wrong trail ....

Any more suggestions?

Maybe the "old" default option is still stored in the database. Afaik Kriesi's framework reads the meta box option arrays and stores them into the wp_postmeta database table. The meta_key is "_avia_elements_avia_options_THEMENAME" - thus in this case it should be "_avia_elements_avia_options_flagship". Try to delete this meta key entry - this will force flagship to rewrite the data. In addition this code change won't affect existing post entries because the default value will only be used if no option value was set before.

Hi Dude,

thanks for your reply.

I did what you said but without any result.

On line 106 I pasted your code. As far as I can see the only difference is the word "dynamic" behind 'std'.

Then in the next array on line 121 I placed the name off my template (basis) behind 'std'.
This looks like: "std" => "basis",

But it hasn't got any effect.

Any suggestion?

Yep, sry - I mistakenly read "Flashlight" instead of "Flagship". Go to flagship\includes\admin\register-admin-metabox.php and replace:

"std" 	=> "",
					"no_first"=>true,
					"subtype" => array( 'Use default' => "",
										'left sidebar' =>'sidebar_left',
										'right sidebar'=>'sidebar_right',
										'no sidebar'=>'fullsize',
										'Dynamic Template'=>'dynamic'
										)),

with:

"std" 	=> 'dynamic',
					"no_first"=>true,
					"subtype" => array( 'Use default' => "",
										'left sidebar' =>'sidebar_left',
										'right sidebar'=>'sidebar_right',
										'no sidebar'=>'fullsize',
										'Dynamic Template'=>'dynamic'
										)),

In the next array search for:

"std" 	=> "",
		"required" 	=> array('layout','{contains}dynamic'),

and insert the template value as standard.

Hi Dude,

as far as I can see (and tried) posts do support dynamic templates.
But I have to select it in every post and I want a post to have a default value.

Can I hardcode this value in php?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Nick,

thanks for your kind reply.

My problem is not about MarsEdit and I know that I can set the dynamic template in the post.
The point is, that posts are not made within the WordPress environment, but from the outside.
For my pages to show up correctly, I need posts to have a default dynamic template.

Is there a way to set the dynamic template for posts?

How can I make my question a support question, because this issue makes the difference for me for going live with the website or not.

Thanks,

Hi Ron,

You may select dynamic templates for both posts and pages on the bottom right side of the add new/edit posts/pages in Flagship backend. I've never used MarsEdit,and unfortunately don't own a Mac to test it. I think your best bet is to contact MarsEdit support forum, since most blogging software allows the user to declare custom form fields within the blogging software itself.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi,

I use Flagship.

I can't find a way to set a default dynamic template for posts.
Sure, when I make a post then I can set the dynamic template, but that doesn't work for me, because then posts aren't made within WordPress, but f.i. with MarsEdit.

Can you please help me out?

Greetings,

I marked this thread for Kriesi. Personally I think it's an issue with the main wp query but the portfolio element already contains the wp_reset_query(); function which should avoid any issues/conflicts with the main query.

Hi lilwhitemoth,

Looking at casual420.com I see a background color a light tan and the css for it is:

body {
background: #deb887;
}

Are you still having the issue or is it with a specific browser perhaps?

Regards,
