I am sorry, there are no PSDs missing. I put everything I got into the folder. Problem is that once I get a basic idea on how a theme should look like I stop working in photoshop and start coding. I then add all the details on the go :)

Hi no1_son,

Yes I believe it is the correct version. Since so much of the layout and design is done with the theme options, the PSD is there as a very basic layout to the theme showing the few actual graphic files.

I'll tag Kriesi on the topic however just to double check.

Hi,

Hope you can help. Am I correct in finding that there are only 3 basic PSD files for the theme design? I was expecting to find a little more graphics within the PSD. It seems like this might be one of the first edition PSDs that was created. There does not seem to be the same visual styling and detail applied to them as per the latest theme.

Can you please clarify if this is correct or if there are other updated PSD files that I might be missing?

Many thanks

Hi jakedohm,

The browser determines what a user does with an mp3 file. The theme's only add-on/plugin type feature for the sermons is to put them into the player so that they can be be controlled by the user from the sermon(s) page.

There are some solutions available to force certain file types to download on the users end but they are out of our area of support.

Is there a way to add link to directly download the linked audio for a sermon? As you will see I've set one up that goes to the audio file, but it doesn't go to direct download. Is there a way for it to automatically start downloading? I thought you guys should have a plugin or something.

Hi Marylise,

It sounds like you probably need to update the theme to the most recent version. Just go to your Downloads on Themeforest and re-download the theme. Then you can install the update in the same way you first installed the theme.

If you have made any changes to the theme files themselves, you'll need to back those up so that you can re-apply them after the update.

Hey Vanwero,

No worries, the process to update really isn't that clear if you aren't used to working with premium themes :)

Whenever you go to your Downloads on Theme Forest and re-download any file it will always be the most recent and updated version. So just re-download that whole zip package of the theme then un-zip it and inside will be the actual theme file as a zipped file that you can upload through the wordpress interface or unzip that theme file and upload it via ftp as Ismael said.

=> This is the general website you refer to.
=> Where can I download my update then? Do I just have to go to my ordered item and download it again? (Or is this still the same old version I've downloaded when I bought the theme a year ago?)

Hi Vanwero,

1.) You can check this inside your style.css (wp-content\themes\broadscope\style.css). Inside that file you can see something that looks like this:

/*
Theme Name: Broadscope
Description: <strong>A sleek Business Theme by Kriesi</strong> - <br/> Update notifications available on twitter and facebook:<br/> <a href='http://twitter.com/kriesi'>Follow me on twitter</a><br/> - <a href='http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kriesi/333648177216'>Join the Facebook Group</a>
Version: 1.1.5
Author: Kriesi
Author URI: http://www.kriesi.at
*/

2.) You can check this link: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/latest-theme-updates-please-check-if-yourre-using-an-outdated-theme-version

3.) You can download it in: http://themeforest.net/

4.) We don't have any notifications if there are updates or new version of the theme. However, we regularly update this link: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/latest-theme-updates-please-check-if-yourre-using-an-outdated-theme-version on a regular basis so you can check if you have the latest version of your theme.

5.) Unzip the file that you can download from themeforest(broadscope.zip). Inside it you can see these folders _MACOSX, documentation, psd, etc. and a file named "version_broadscope.rtf". This file contains the changelogs.

6.) You can do this via ftp, just replace the old parent theme (broadscope) with the latest version of the broadscope theme.

Hope this is helpful. :)

Regards,

Hi all,

I've a few questions about updating your theme etc.

1) Where can I see what version of the theme I am using
2) Where can I see if there is a newer version available to download
3) Where can I download this newer version?
4) Can I get a notification of a new version? (I work a lot with this theme for my customers)
5) Is there a way to see what's new in a newer theme-version? (bug-fixes, ....)
6) How do I execute a theme update? (I worked with a child theme)

Thanks already for an answer! (Sorry for the list of questions, but this is quite important to keep everything working I assume?)

greets,

Hi Peter,

We still want to make the download 'public' so that anyone can download it, we just wish to track who is downloading the file. Therefore by requiring LinkedIn authentication or requesting an email address, it allows us to contact the individuals who are interesting in our download at a future date.

I can link my downloadable products to an image file and they work just fine but if I link to another type of file (zip txt etc) I get a 404 url not found error. Any suggestions?
I am so sorry you had to go through so many hoops just to get started! Hopefully it all goes smoothly moving forward but it does not, we should be able to help you a little more now that the theme is installed :)

Just to close this, I never did hear back from Envato support, but decided to try downloading the file one more time this afternoon, and lo and behold the missing flashlight.zip file was in this download. Uploaded easily via WP interface. I wasted a day yesterday but oh, well.

Thanks, Devin. I'll contact Envato support. Almost ready to give up on this theme at this point...

Hi LEKelly,

First, delete the entire folder of Flashlight from your wp-content>themes folder. It should only contain theme files and the others will mess it up (the psd, plugins and license folders are not to be put into your themes folder on the server).

When you open the zip file you download from Themeforest it should look like this:

If it does NOT have the flashlight.zip file in it, you need to contact Envato support here: http://support.envato.com

Thanks everyone for the tips, but I still need help.

I downloaded the theme again this morning (my sixth time). It did not work in the wordpress interface, so I turned to Filezilla. I haven't used FTP in years, so that took a while to sort out. But after FTPing the theme, it is still not showing up in the WP Theme manager. All I see in my CPanel under WP-content>Themes are the following files for Flashlight: documentation>assets; license; plugins; psd.zip 1.6 2Mb; version_flashlight.rtf. I have never seen a flashlight.zip file. I know something's wrong because this looks nothing like what's in the 2011 Theme folder right below it, which has dozens of files.

I can't believe I'm getting so hung up on Step #1. What am I missing (or better yet, what is my download missing?)

Thanks for any further tips.

Yes, there is a separate flashlight.zip and the style.css zip is in there. I had the same problem, so I uploaded straight to the themes folder using FireFTP in my Mozilla Firefox browser, but Filezilla or any of the other FTP's will work.

Hi LEKelly,

There should also be a flashlight.zip there too. Normally, the zipped folder you get from themeforest has everything inside of it as well as a zip version of the them which can be uploaded through the wordpress interface.

Please try to re-download the zip file from Themeforest again just in case there was some kind of error in the original download. Sorry for the trouble! Hopefully this is an easy hurdle to tackle.

This is what the unzipped folder contains. Are any of these even theme files? It was downloaded directly from ThemeForest like this. I'll try Filezilla next but I don't understand why this theme is different to upload than others.

version_flashlight.rtf
psd.zip
plugins
License
documentation

Thanks, I'll try Filezilla and doublecheck the file, too.
