Hi Daniel,

Just to make sure there was no issue updating the theme, I would try re-updating all of the files via FTP so that everything gets overwritten properly.

The theme defines woocommerce support so if you are getting that message then the files are definitely not completely correct.

Regards,

Thanks for the reply. It was my bad when I said 1.8, I've been using 1.8.1 all along.

I'm still having the same issues; please see http://www.test.tygglobal.com. this is currently using WP3.5.1, AB1.8.1 and WC2.0.7. Besides the "Class 'woocommerce_product' not found in...." when trying to open the website, I get a "Your theme does not declare WooCommerce support " on the Word Press admin panel.

I tried to follow the steps under "http://docs.woothemes.com/document/third-party-custom-theme-compatibility/", but that didn't get me anywhere.

Thanks in advance for any feedback

Please update Abundance to the latest version (I think it's 1.8.1). Version 1.8 is not fully compatible with WC2.0 because we had a problem with the update commit and the updated config.php wasn't part of the themeforest zip file; so we released another update (1.8.1) which contains all updated files.

Thanks Devin for the reply, and sorry for the duplicate post.
Following your recommendation I upgraded to WP3.5.1, WooCom 2.0.7 and Abund 1.8, and I got an "Integration" error that basically referred me to this site "http://docs.woothemes.com/document/third-party-custom-theme-compatibility/"

I upgraded my site to abundance 1.8 yesterday but I couldn't get the dynamic templates to work. I had to switch back to my old configuration
The website is currently using WP 3.3.1, abundance 1.1 and wooCommerce 1.3.2.1, although i'm not actively using it.

The site uses Dynamic Templates (DT) for the slider on the Home page, and the "Pages" I built under "Products" menu. These pages just call the "Dynamic Template" we want to use.

After the upgrade, the slider on the Home page disappeared and when I clicked on the Pages under the "Products" menu I'd just get the page with the tittle and no pictures (DT).

Could you please comment if there's anything I'm missing or changes I need to do? For you to see the problems I'd have to switch to the upgraded directory.

Thanks,

Hi websterag,

I've tagged the topic for Kriesi since Peter's initial code didn't fix it for you and I'm not sure what else to try on that since the dynamic templates get priority over all other content within the page.

In the short term you would need to just not use a dynamic template if you need the content password protected.

Hi,

I tried this code Dude posted a while ago and just like before it worked fine for me when used with password protection http://i.imgur.com/n9LMbPG.png

The code is here http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/password-protect-for-dynamic-templates#post-77861 .. You basically have to remove that entire post_page($elements) function which is on lines 560-637 of /includes/helper-templates.php and replace it with the same function that Dude created at the above link (there are two of them there, you need to copy and past the second function.

Once done, create a Dynamic Template and add it to a POST. Then password protect that post . ***Switch to a differrent browser. And dont be logged in as admin *** if you created the post as an admin and then are surprised you can still see it , that's the point, you are an admin so you can see it. Try to logout clear cookies or just use Firefox to play visitor and Chrome to play the admin, so then there is no need to log out.

Thanks,

I can set a password on a page when there is no dynamic template applied, but once I apply a dynamic template, the password request goes away. Any idea? Or there a feature I'm missing? Thanks.

Hey chokdidesign,

As far as I know there is no way to have comments while using a dynamic template. Posts also only really have a single "layout" but do have multiple gallery options.

Each of those options doesn't have its own php file but are instead created with the framework slideshow class. When the single.php file is called it runs through the includes>loop-index.php loop which just checks to see if the post has a slideshow and what the setting was to display it.

The actual class is in includes>helper-slideshow and modifying it would then be modifying all instances of the slideshow.

Depending on what you are trying to do there are some other options but they are a bit limited. For instance, you could create different versions of the single.php file for categories but if you wanted to change the layout of the post body you would then need to create custom loops as well.

Regards,

Hi!

I noticed that on a single post, when i do not select a dynamic template, there's a default template (actually, three, depending on the slideshow option i choose). This template has the comment box + social utilities.

If i choose to publish my post with a dynamic template, i notice there's no way to include comments and social things on that page. Is there a way to have them showing?

The turn around would be to customize the three native .php templates in the theme, but then, i won't have the standard box in the admin to pick from these... would threr be a way to bring it back?

One or the other solution could work for me! Both would rock!

Thanks in advance!

Hello Nick,

thank your for your help and the rest of the team. The problem was in the server configuration. After hours and days trying to solve the error, I tried in another server and it worked.

Now the web is live and working quite well.

Hi,

The way I would QA this is: (I tried to replicate your error but was unable to)

1) Clean worpress install with latest theme version. Do not add anything except a single dynamic template calling it TEST1. Do not add the template to any page.

2) Migrate the site to live. Now as I understand the error, you will not be able to see TEST1even though its still in the database. Create a new template on live site calling it TEST2 with identical settings to TEST1. So now you would be able to see TEST2 but not TEST1.

3) Look in the mySQL to determine the difference between TEST1 and TEST2 to isolate what differentiates them in various tables.

[Edit] Would you also paste the exact error you are getting, because what you wrote in quotes has only 1 result on Google, this page. But there are a number of variations in the wording of the error when searched without quotes.

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Dietista,

I know there have been some issues recently when moving from a local environment to a live one so I have been recommending users build completely on the live server until the issue is resolved. I'm not sure if it was in a recent framework update or what but we have let Kriesi know about it and I'm hoping for a fix asap.

So if you can, try a clean install of the theme on your server and see if you are able to create templates at that point. Then we might be able to narrow down what is happening as having something to do with the push from local settings to live.

Regards,

Hello,

In my computer I am using a WAMP enviroment with lo PHP memory of 256 MB and my server is a VPS with a 2 Gb of RAM and the php.ini
As the online server is not in production, the value "memory_limit" is set to 512 Mb. So it is not a problem with the memory.

I have moved several times the web from my local computer to the server, using different methods: Duplicator Plugin, export database and move it with the files to the server, with different backup plugins... And always the Template Builder has no templates and if i try to create a new one, i get the error "Something went wrong, please try again in a few second."

Please ask Kriesi if maybe he is using and absolute path for some information regarding the Template Builder.

Thank you for your support.

Hi,

Are you on a MAMP (Macintosh) or WAMP (Windows Hosting?) Your host most likely is limiting PHP to only 32 megs of memory causing this problem. There is a good article here _> http://blog-en.mamp.info/2009/09/increase-php-memory-limit-with-mamp-pro.html When you give php 64meg, everything should begin working well. In the past, when people experienced this problem it was solved by upping the memory, contacting their webhost to increase the php memory (some discount hosts may refuse) or switching to a 'wordpress friendly' host.

Thanks,

Nick
