Yes - that's why I'd just create/add a custom link to the menu instead of the page (menu manager). Use "Home" as link caption and "http://dev.fivestardecorating.com" as link target.

I've already labled the page: http://dev.fivestardecorating.com/home

But that address is still different from the page: http://dev.fivestardecorating.com

When I am at fivestardecorating.com and I click in the menu "fivestardecorating" (which should be the home page), I get fivestardecorating.com/home, but it is a different page than fivestardecorating.com.

How do I resolve so that they are both the same page?

Hey,
you can create a custom main menu by using the wordpress admin panel. Go to Appearance > Menu and add pages, links, etc. to your menu. I.e. you can create a link to your frontpage and call it "Home". I published a tutorial here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/i-can%E2%80%99t-create-a-custom-menu-the-menu-behaves-weird

Sorry, this is probably SOoo basic...

I erased what was once the home page, so I created a new page and selected it as the "frontpage" in the brightbox options.

However, the menubar no longer reads as "home" but just repeats whatever the front headline text says.

Is there a way for the menu to read "home" while keeping the headline text different?
