Hi,

Latest version of Abundance is 1.9. Please download it on your themeforest account. Did you recently transfer your website from your localhost? You might need to manually upload the images again or try to regenerate the thumbnails with http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/.

Hi,

Sure. Please log into themeforest.net using the login/pw you used to purchase the theme. Then click on Downloads where you can see what you previously purchased, and you will be able to download the latest update which addresses your issue. The link to the video I posted goes over this process.

Thanks,

Hi,

Please look at the top of your style.css file to verify the version of Flashlight you are using.

The latest version is 2.3 so if yours is different, you should download the update from themeforest.net , unzip it on your home computer, and then upload it to your server using FTP software such as FileZilla make sure to rename your current theme folder first if you customized any of the templates in order to preserve any customizations.

If you have made customization to your templates, but are no longer sure exactly where, I've made a comprehensive video outlining the easiest way to solve that issue. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKRkJlN0pyNVNDSkk/edit?usp=sharing

----

Though I dont have any problems loading lightboxes on your site http://www.clipular.com/c?6170039=1OZ7N4SmCDckvq_5YJA2V1dZuRU&f=bfdf234fea6a28ea9c21dad02f61f2b4

Hi,

I can't be sure of anything because each new release of WPML or anything else changes things. I recommend people to never update anything once they get their site stable. Its much more constructive and profitable to build new sites then spending ones life updating the same site for a few days of every month.

However, If you create a post/page/etc in english, and then create another in a different language. and then once they are saved you add a relationship between those pages in WPML, it worked for me every time.

Why dont you go download the free http://serverpress.com/downloads/ gadget that will create and install wordpress on you local home compyter at your-domain.dev and see for yourself, takes 10 mins.

Thanks,

Hi Danny,

The thing is, that if you installed a fresh theme and the newest WPML plugin, everything would be working well. I suspect the problem occured when Wordpress updated to 2,5 version, it made some changes For some reason t duplicate ate function doesn't work on databases a few months old, because I made a number of videos you can find in the Brightbox forum, where I show with a fresh install that everything is working just fine. I know that is no consolation to you. However I may have an idea.

To better understand your problem.... You have a few hundred posts and you want to duplicate the images and settings real quick. I would use a macro recorder to do that. You record yourself taking images from original post and creating a translation post manually once. Then the macro recorder replays it for all the other posts without a need for you to do anything, you can go to sleep, wake up and all your posts would be copied. I know its not an ideal solution, but I tried it and it worked great.

I used Jitbit Macro Recorder http://www.jitbit.com/macro-recorder/ .. its 40$, and the best tool i found in a long while.

Take a look at my post from yesterday and the screen cast attached where I recorded myself and let the recorder do my job for me.

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/post-image-issue-when-migrating-rom-broadscope-theme#post-107161

Hi,

Im using posts with more than one featured image also galeries. When I duplicate post on other languages it display only first featured image not others. It means I need to reupload again all images for each language. This is realy time consuming as I have lots of posts on daily bases.
I have seen simmilar posts on this issue but seams that there is no solution yet. Does anyone have solution for this problem. Im subscribed on full WPML plugin set.

EDIT: just one more thing to ad. On front page where it should be one featured image pulled from post. If post have galleries it shows also images from gallery instead of showing just one featured images.

Best!

Hi 1976Hoosiers,

You could replace the image format with the standard format code. You would open up the includes folder in your theme files and then copy the code from format-standard.php into format-image.php.

I'm not quite clear on if this is what you were looking to do but from the description that is my best guess.

Is there anyway to set the featured image on the related posts to an image instead of the default image. I love the related posts and I love the responsive slider, but the only way I can set the image is if I post using the "standard" format and not the "image" format, hence losing the responsive slider. Any help would be appreciated love the theme :)

Hi,

I just traced the javascript with Chrome and everything is taking place in rocket.js http://www.icityinfo.com/cdn-cgi/nexp/abv=1870252173/cloudflare/rocket.js which is Cloudflare . That's where all the image issues are coming from and the quick reloads etc.. Also something called 'bag' from Cloudflare.

--08794df221641cac
Bag: 156|89|-1|200|text/bag-manifest|7200

0:http://www.icityinfo.com/wp-content/w3tc/min/5f860/default.include-footer-nb.63b38f.js

--08794df221641cac
Bag: 88|0|0|800|Couldn't bind to '108.162.246.111' (28m6)|7200

--08794df221641cac--

That IP above can't bind the bag is Cloudflare IP. So perhaps they are having a bad day today...

Your featured image is not loading for me on windows7 Chrome.also. Looking...

Yeh, you have it hidden with css. Just add that to quick css or custom.css

I agree a bit more control would be a good thing. I think the biggest hurdle is just keeping it adaptive and causing no other issues with other browsers. IE specifically has heart attack for almost every kind of image if you aren't jumping through its ridiculous hoops.

Turns out it ends up not really being much of an issue, I didn't have that many images that were that tall.

In a future update, being able to control the max size of the window would be great, but the theme is still badass just as it is.

Thanks for your help!

The only thing you could do is shrink the size of the container which will effect the maximum size of all of your images.

Removing the 100% width is going to give you images that are not centered and tends to cause a lot of other issues whenever we have tried to do it (browser support etc).

But really, when you want images to appear a very specific way you'll be doing a lot of re-saving with photoshop anyway. Its not what you want to hear I'm sure but I know how important a good clean non-distorted portfolio is.

Thanks so much for your help.

I get it now, but that seems a little difficult to plan for.

This is what I wanted to do: When the use clicks on a thumbnail, the portfolio image that pops up would never be (let's say) taller than 500px. So in order to do that, I need to make sure all of my images that aren't wider than 609px (the max width of the container) are pasted onto a white canvas that is more than 609px wide, and 500px tall. Otherwise, it's always going to make the image wider (and in effect taller) to fit.

I have some examples where my my artwork is 800px tall, but only 400px wide. So that ends up creating a lot of distortion.

It probably sounds like i'm being nit-picky at this point, but I saved all my portfolio images at 800px tall for portrait images, so that means I'm going to have to go back and resave a lot of them in Photoshop to make sure they have a minimum width of 609px.

Is there really no way to control the maximum size of the ajax portfolio window itself?

Thanks!

Hi Brian,

Max-height keeps the container from getting past that height but the image is still there inside/behind it. The way images work is that they will grow to fit the width of their container. So if the container is 100px wide and the image is 80px wide and 200px tall, it will expand to be 100px wide and the height will expand at the same ratio.

If the image is *wider* than the container it will shrink to fit and both the height and width will be reduced.

Can you point to a specific example on your site that the image is getting inappropriately stretched? Using the ajax portfolio you have now the max width for the image container is 609px so if you set the fullsize image size in your functions.php to a size larger than 609 width and all your images are at *least* 609px wide then you shouldn't have any bluring.

Edit: I think Nick and my advice should help get this sorted out for you :)

Hi,

You are using Quick Cache, so when you change things, you can not expect the change to be noticed until the cache expires or you turn off quick cache until you finish all customizations.

---

The best way to beat the images into submission is to first install the Simple Image Sizes plugin ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ ). The plugin will give you complete control over all images in the theme -from aspect ratio, to width, whether to crop the image, and even has a built in thumbnail regenerator.

After installing the plugin, you will find your Settings > Media page in the backend to contain the various sizes. Then simply find the dimensions you want to change. Save. Regenerate the images and see if you like what you see or want to tweak the image sizes further.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I see you have a live site, set me up a temp admin account and email me what you are trying to do and I will get you back up in no time usjahm (at) gmail.com

Thanks,

Me again, haha.

I'm having a lot of difficulty with your image sizing system, I've never experienced anything like it before with other themes that I've used.

Here is my site: http://www.flylanddesigns.com

Here's my problem: When I click on a thumbnail in the portfolio, the tall portrait images are shown at a larger size than their original size, so it stretches them and makes them blurry. For example, all the images I uploaded were a max height or width of 800px. But it's making them appear as 930px tall, which stretches them quite a bit. For example, check ou the Captain America vs. Batman image. It stretches it, and then when you click to bring up the lightbox, it brings up the original sized image of 800px.

I've changed all the image sizes in the function.php file to be 800px max height for the 'fullsize' category.

I've also changed the settings in the Wordpress Media menu to be 550px x 800px for large images.

And then I ran the thumbnail regenerate plugin. No effect.

And when I try to mess with the CSS so that the whole container has a max height (of 800px), it actually cuts the image off. I can't understand this, because it seems to be set that the image fills 100% of the container, so shouldn't shrinking the container shrink the image?

I've got to have this site up and running in a day or two. Please help!

-Brian
