Hi,

You can change the title with this

#top .big_title .page-title {
font-size: 30px;
}

And the category description using this

.term-description p {
font-size: 20px !important;
}

Don't remove the !important.

Thanks Ismael, but I'm not using a custom font and adding that code did not change anything. How do I change the font size of the title on the Shop and Product Category pages? Right now they are way too big. And the font of the category description is way too small and I'd like to make it bigger.

Thank You!

I would like to change the font size of the title on my main Shop page and on my Product Category pages. (I have already adjusted title fonts and am happy with them on the individual product pages.) On the Shop and Product Category pages I'd like to make the main title smaller and the description larger. Anyone know how to do that?

I already used this to change the titles on individual product pages:
'#top.woocommerce .post-title.big_title{
font-size: 22px;
}'

All your theme settings are saved to the theme name in the database. You don't lose them when overwriting the theme files.

I don't know if the child theme is set up correctly or not, but it shouln't be doubling your menu. You can check the menu in Appearance>Menus and see if they are double there (while the child theme is active).

Typically, you would use a child theme if you were editing the theme files so that you could just update the Corona parent theme by downloading updates and overwriting the whole theme.

Hi Devin,
Thanks. So what is the Child theme for? When I activate child theme all my menu becomes double. So, I have Two Menu lines, for example, Top menu "About Us" and bottom menu "About Us". When I overwrite the Corona theme is it going to overwrite all menu customization, color customization we did? What about the post, is it going to change the blog post? We renamed few of the example pages and sample blog post, are all those going to get lost? You can have a look at our site: http://www.onetouchon.com.

Hi Naz,

You can update your main corona theme by simply downloading the most recent theme files from your downloads on Themeforest and then overwriting you current theme files on your server with the newly downloaded files.

Hi Nick,
Now that my child theme is working, is there anywhere I could find the steps how to update my corona from 1.2 to 1.5 using the child theme process? When I activate child theme all my menu becomes double. So, I have Top Menu line "About Us" and bottom menu line "About Us"

Hi Nick,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Sorry, it is not the capitalization, I checked, both name was using small letters, corona parent and corona-child. I tried deleting the corona-child using Filezilla , creating new folder corona-child under parent folder corona, still it does not work. I also tried following the steps below:

1. Download corona child-theme
2. Used ftp to upload the folder found inside the zip and place under Corona theme. Then tried going to backend where you normally activate themes, and you will see an option to activate the Corona child - but nothing is there.

I am trying to upgrade from 1.2 to 1.5. After spending lots of time reading your forum I realized installing the child theme would be the best option, but I have spend over 12 hours trying to get child theme working. Can you please try login in my web site as admin and see if you can please fix it? I can email you the user name and password. website is: http://www.onetouchon.com/wp-admin/ . User name is my user name here onetouchon, pwd I can email to you.

Hi Naz,

I think that corona bug is likely Corona vs. corona ... (capitalization is off in import line, or in theme name, or in parent folder (my original was correct format - see below, just capitalization...)). Also if you named your parent theme folder Corona then inside the child style.css , you need to have identical capitalization. One letter difference and it won't find it. Almost guaranteed that is the reason.

@import url("../Corona/style.css");

===

Next time you make a post, make sure you add ''nick'' as a tag. Somehow the previous request lost it (since I added it) so you were in limbo. Sorry about that.

===

For the Map, since Google changed the API, I would recommend you install this free plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-maps-by-daniel-martyn/ , which will generate a shortcode based on your input. Just add the shortcode where you want the map to show up .. There are lots of customizations, so let us know if that is what you were looking for.

Thanks,

Hi,

1. In my woocommerce product pages, there is a second title beneath the image which is the same as the title of the product (at the top of the page), but in smaller font. Can this be removed?

2. Can the titles on the product gallery page be made a smaller font? I have used some code I found on another thread but it didn't change the font of the titles of these pages:

#top .woocommerce .big_title .page-title {
font-size: 24px;

Hi bluemoonink,

I prefer it simply because it allows me to have control over the end result just a little bit more. If you also start with a base size, you know every other percentage css is based on a base size.

But you are always open to changing things as you want :)

Hi:
Just purchased this theme - I LOVE it... most flexible & well thought out I've seen.
I don't really want fixed font sizes for body text & headers, but it looks like that is how the css is? base font 13px and then headers, starting with h6 at 14px? I see it here in base.css:
body {
font: 13px/1.65em "HelveticaNeue", "Helvetica Neue", Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
color: #444;
/* -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; /* Fix for webkit rendering */
-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;
}
though everywhere else font-size is "100%".
If I add css to custom.css like this:
body {
font-size:100%;
}
It then uses my browser font size. Is this the correct way to do this? Will it adjust all the headers accordingly? Will mobile still be ok? Is there a reason that I should know why you used a fixed font-size...???

Just want to know so I don't inadvertently break something...
thank you

Hi--

Thanks for your help. The CSS for resizing the column on mobile was just what I needed and worked great.

On the other issue, I wanted to resize the heading, the words "Product Description", and not the <p> text below it. If you can tell me what to modify I'd appreciate it--

Thanks--

Hi,

Yeh it's a bit difficult to hit the description since nothing around it has a class or an id. The CSS below will hit it though but it will also hit on all product pages the other two blocks of text on the page.. one starting with 'Stretched Canvas' and another starting with 'Archival Matte Paper'. If that is acceptable, take a look and add this code to /css/custom.css or Quick CSS located in Replete > Theme Options > Styling ... text area on the bottom of the page

#top.single-product div p {
font-size: .9em !important;
}

==================

For the resizing, please add this css

@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) and (min-width: 480px){
#top.single-product .one_half {
width: 386px !important; /*was 418px;*/
}}

@media only screen and (max-width: 479px){
#top.single-product div.product {
width: 356px !important;
}
#top.single-product .container {
width: 358px !important;
}
#top.single-product .one_half {
width: 328px !important;
}}

Thanks,

Thanks for the great template ("Replete") and support -- the forums have answered nearly all my questions so far.

I've hit a snag on two small items on the product page I'm setting up here: http://www.dazzlezazz.com/wp/product/a-pillow-of-winds-test/

1) When I reduce the screen size to check for mobile screen compatibility, the two columns in Product Description are cutting off the text on the right-hand side. (I increased the body font-size to 14px -- but that does't seem like it should make the text get clipped.)

2) I'd like to reduce the font size of the "Product Description" heading, but I haven't been able to find the right place to do so.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi,

Hmm. My suggestion is to clear your browser cache :

1.5em : http://i.imgur.com/EI2ZI5U.png (from your live site custom.css as it looks to me)

2.5em : http://i.imgur.com/GaWywRz.png (change on your live dom)

Nick,

We wanted to make the font size for all screen sizes a bit smaller, so I put this in the custom.css:

#top h1.ajax-portfolio-title {
font-size: 1.5em;
}

...and it is no smaller than yours at 2.3em.

Suggestions?

Hi,

I am sorry. The code provided in the above posts with instructions to put it in custom.css created a font size too small? I made changes to my answer above whereby the second css block changes font sizes for all screen size.

Thanks,

All,

It is a bit big anyhow, so what would be the code to put in the custom.css to make it smaller? (Then we can determine if we need to put the mobile code in, too).

Thanks,

Hi,

I agree with the solution provided by rabx.

@media only screen and (min-width: 480px) and (max-width: 767px) {
#top h1.ajax-portfolio-title {
font-size: 2.3em;
}}

Please add the above block of code to your custom.css file or to Quick CSS located in Theme Options > Styling.

To see the changes on all screen sizes. Use the code below instead

#top h1.ajax-portfolio-title {
font-size: 2.3em;
}

Thanks,

Hey Mark,

The solution posted by rabx is dead on. You can also add the css to your custom.css file to just overwrite those in the layout.css file which will then keep it easier to backup.

Regards,
