The easy slider does not support it, I'm not sure if the LayerSlider supports it. You can try to add your form code (html code) into the html field:

Hi Polk3,

Not as far as I know no. I would just suggest looking into a plugin that has direct support for it with forms and that way you get a bit more flexibility with it too.

Regards,

Currently I have the contact form set up to deliver forms to 3 emails... but only the first one is working. I did find a thread in where you suggest modifying the class-form-generator.php to which I tried but it only broke the site. Can the Choices theme support multiple email deliveries or can you only choose one?

Hi Casuh,

No, you'll need to use a plugin like Contact Form 7 to do multiple contact forms. It will actually give you more overall flexibility anyway so I definitely recommend it :)

Hi,

The only thing I am seeing is that you have 2 copies of prettyPhoto javascript running, though I am not sure if it's causing that issue.

We would need to have a look at the plugin to see what's happening behind the scenes since there are no visible errors anywhere, its just the 3rd dropdown is completely ignored. The other thing I see is that the ID numbers of the first to dropdowns are sequential while the third one is not in the sequence 177, 178, 180. Can you try doing this again, with 3 and if it doesn't work try adding a 4th to see if the 3rd one will start working. And please look in the plugin where the /plugins/vision/js/jquery.prettyPhoto.js is enqueued and remove it since its never a good idea to be running duplicate jquery files.

Thanks,

Hi leonvalentine,

As Dude said, there aren't any errors showing that would give us any clue that there was an actual conflict. You could try to switch to default theme and see if it works then (the conditional logic) but it seems like the conditions for the missing option set are just not getting met.

Hi dude,

Here is a simpler example: http://restinchairs.com/test-quote/

Dropdown A (at the left) has 3 options. Each option on dropdown A has a different set of corresponding options on dropdown B (on the right). For some reason, the conditional logic works for options 1 & 2 on dropdown A but not option 3. The conditional logic settings are exactly the same for all three...

Hi,
I could not find any javascript errors on the form page (you can use the Firebug or Chrome dev console to check your website for errors). Tbh I doubt this is a conflict with the theme but I'm not familiar with the plugin and I'm not entirely sure.

I am running the Visual Form Builder Pro plugin by Matthew Muro on my site with the Propulsion theme. Until the last theme update it was working perfectly. Since the theme update, if I try to change my form at all, the conditional logic will not work properly on new fields. What is really confusing is that the form fields that had conditional logic set before the theme update still work now as long as I do not make any changes to the settings.

I have not had any luck getting a response from the plugin author but his FAQ suggests that a theme conflict could be the issue: http://vfb.matthewmuro.com/faq/#theme-plugin-broken

My form can be found at: http://restinchairs.com/quote/

We upgraded the Cart66 we added the call for the footer. Now we are having a problem with the page not being secure. This is because of the items that are called in the footer, they are not on the secure side.

Thank you Devin,

I did think it may have been something we did wrong at some point and went back to our earliest backup. It did not have the footer call in it.

Thanks too for the input on choices. We only have a few hours into it customizing, that part works good, it's the quality SEO and performance I am concerned about.

The Ecommerce site we use this on is growing, we need to be sure all that works right.

Hi SteveYoung,

I just checked with the file I get from Kriesi and the template_fullwidth.php does in fact include get_footer at the end of it. Not sure what happened that your file was/is different but I'm glad you were able to figure out a solution.

The end of mine actually looks like:

<?php
		get_sidebar();

		get_footer();
		?>

This is with version 2.0.3 which I believe was last updated at the end of 2011 and is the package available on Themeforest.

As for Choices, it is a significantly different theme. The framework, the ability to customize and the general configuration is much different. It gives a lot more easy front end design choices but the theme files are a good step up in base complication.

Regards,

I thought this was closed like my last question on this same issue. So glad to see it still open! I did select "not resolved" when I last left, your system may reopen it when that is done.

As is our practice we like to come back and report the solution since likely other users will be running in to the problem.

First let me say THIS WAS A NEWSCAST PROBLEM, excuse me for screaming but I have been working on it for months. I have asked for assistance here at least 3 times. Each time the topic has been closed so I can not continue the conversation. With staff or with other users to find a solution.

The theme file fullwidth.php was missing get_footer(); so the footer and all the things it needs to do was never being called. We use fullwidth.php on our checkout page to keep the sidebar from displaying. This keeps us from having https errors on this secure page.

Adding the get footer code to the end of the fullwidth.php file solves the problem of the form not displaying the ship to address. We of course do not see this problem in other pages with forms because the page.php file has get_footer(); in it.

<br />
		<?php<br />
                get_sidebar();<br />
                get_footer();<br />
                ?><br />

The end of the file should look as it does above to work correctly for those that may have this problem.

Newscast Errors
First let me say we are a fan of Newscast, it is just what we were looking for and support has been reasonable most of the time.

However, the page load time is slow compared to other themes we use. Seconds, as long as 4-5 as compared to less than half a second on much busier websites of ours with other themes. We have read in the forum here analysis that it is a "dirty" theme.

The Cart66 people indicated the following to me when they helped to solve the problem.
"Basically this theme is not very well designed. There are hundreds maybe even thousands of undefined indexes here. The biggest issue is that the footer was not even included in the template for this site."

They were right, it was left out. I checked on Theme Forest and Kresi has sold between 1M and 2M$ there. That alone would tell me the Cart66 comment was wrong, if it were not for what we found here on this problem.

If the theme needs to be retired, and it looks like it will need to be for us that is fine. We got more than our moneys worth out of it. We are testing Choices, but don't know enough to analyze it and know it is a good theme that will not have these issues. I would not mind reassurance from Kresi and the team, "yes that is a good move, change over (upgrade) to choices."

We have already bought it, it's not about the money it's about the time.

I look forward in continuing to ask questions, to provide solutions when I can and participate in a community with a great product.

Hi SteveYoung,

We do not provide support or compatibility fixes for third party plugins. The plugin in questions, Cart66 has a conflict with the theme but it is not under what we can provide to fix that. We can't change their code as we do not control it.

In this instance, it seems that the plugin is supposed to display the ID #shippingAddress by default and when the check box is selected it should hide it. What is happening however is that the ID is defaulting on page to load display:hidden.

So the issue is that there is a javascript conflict with the plugin and Newscast. Without digging in to that plugin I can't tell you what that might be and I really don't know anything about it having never used it.

We simply can't guarantee that every plugin will work with everything theme which is why I really am only left with referring to cart66 support on this issue.

Regards,

Let me try this again. You can see "Problem with Ship to not working with Newscast" for more details and the locking of a question that was valid with no opportunity for a conversation and a solution.

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/problem-with-ship-to-not-working-with-newscast?message=update-support-forums-topic-status-error

A form, a radial button that brings up the ability to enter a separate ship to address does not function with Newscast. It does work in the WP standard themes. It does work in other authors premium themes. It does work in Choices.

It does not work in Newscast.

Why would that be?

The vendor that provided the form indicates it is a css issue with Newscast but can not find the problem.

Again it does not work in Newscast, it works in every other theme we have tried.

On this site with Newscast, we set up student membership with a ship to requirement. If you de select the radial button an address does not come up. Only when Newscast is turned on, turn on another theme it works fine. https://visitlondonderry.com/members/#ind Select student, and checkout to see that selecting it has no affect.

This site http://Sidewalkflyer.com has a different theme installed. The same radial button and form. It works fine. Install Newscast it does not work.

This site http://ZigIllumigraph.com has Choices installed. The same radial button and form. It works fine. Install Newcast it does not work.

Hi SteveYoung,

We aren't able to offer support for 3rd party plugins. Your best option is to contact Cart66 and ask them to take a look at the issue. They should, as the developers, be able to tell you of any obvious conflicts or possibly where to look into them.

Otherwise, you'll need to look into hiring a freelance developer to troubleshoot the issue further.

Regards,

I have worked on this for a few months and can not solve it. I appreciate any help anyone can provide.

We are running Cart66 on one of our websites we are frozen on an older version. 1.4.4 This is because when we upgrade to the latest version our customers can not input a different ship to address. When the ship to address radial button is deselected the ship to fields never show.

http://ZigPosterman.com to test it, just add an item to the cart in any of the pages, enter a zip code, calculate shipping and checkout. On the check out page you can see that when trying to select the ability to ship to another address it works fine.

Upgrading to the latest version of Cart66 1.5.0.3 and that button no longer works. According to the Cart66 developer it appears to be a problem in the theme.

Changing to the standard wordpress theme it works fine. With the 1.5.0.3 version of Cart66.

We set up a test site. http://ZigIllumigraph.com duplicated Zig Posterman. On 1.4.4 Cart66 it works fine. Upgraded to 1.5.0.3 the form does not work.

We bought Choices to test. Choices works find in the form field. The customer can select ship to a different address and it works fine. Presently the test site. http://ZigIllumigraph.com is set to that theme, though that may change with testing.

While we could switch themes, as we post this, the test site is using Choices. It is a bit of a mess and will require some tweaking and changes since we optimized it in Newscast.

We like Newscast, it has served us well, we would like to fix it. We will also be working a parallel path rebuilding the site based on Choices. The testbed will become our next Kriesi based site for a similar product Zig Illumigraph.

Hi,

The most robust (not free) solution is gravity forms- $35 - http://www.gravityforms.com/purchase-gravity-forms/ for just the forms. A popular free form based solution (also very customizable , depending on how you use it vs gravity forms) is contact form 7 - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/contact-form-7/ (8 million downloads almost)

For membership, (not free) 'PrivateContent - Multilevel Content Plugin' for $15 - you can find it on CodeCanyon.com (though I never used it, it's functionality looks like it meets your requirements (http://codecanyon.net/item/privatecontent-multilevel-content-plugin/1467885)

Free membership - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/membership/ - is a gimped version of the full premium plugin by that name.

Good luck,

Nick
