yes I just updated to the latest version and it is still doing it. The same thing is happening on your live demo of the theme. You can see it here:

Hi!

Has anyone else had this problem? While Kriesi is in update mode, I investigated this further because I was going to suggest that he work on an update for this. However, as I went to recreate the problem, it seems to be resolved. I'm wondering if it was a vimeo issue all along, and they fixed it on their end. Thoughts?

Hello,

I've read the following threads:
http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/changing-individual-portfolio-item-pages

But have had no luck. I'd like to make the portfolio image/slideshow on the single portfolio page span the full width, so an image at 930 pixels wide. I'd like to move the credits/meta container, currently to the right of the portfolio, to the top, above the portfolio.

Thanks

I realize they can't open an embedded video as fullscreen video. The page loads like normal & when you click play, the video starts normal, in it's normal place, not full screen. However, when a user clicks on the cross in the bottom right corner of the video, the video gets lost in the "preview image" box as it tries to go full screen. Sometimes it just disappears. Please advise.

It's not possible to open an embedded video as fullscreen video. The user must click on the cross in the right bottom corner which tells the vimeo player to switch to the fullscreen mode. You can try to use prettyphoto as workaround - add an image link to the post/page content and point the url to the vimeo video.

We use our portfolio primarily for videos, embedded from vimeo.com. We have to use the iframe embedding because we have a fair amount of mobile users. Most of the traffic to our site is for video viewers, therefore this is a big problem. Whenever you visit a portfolio page in firefox or safari, you can't full screen the video. In safari, the video gets stuck inside the preview image box. In Firefox, it always defaults the vimeo "auto-scaling" to off. Google Chrome seems to work fine. I'm using a Mac, haven't had the chance to test this problem on PC.

http://fwcflorence.com/portfolio/spirit-conference-2012-night-1-rev-reggie-scarborough/

For that post, my embed code looks like: iframe src="http://player.vimeo.com/video/47738925?title=0&byline=0&portrait=0" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen /iframe (i excluded the < >)
I'm using the Fade Slider and the "Use Slideshow" option. I want to have a preview image and using the slideshow is the only way to get the preview image and the video to work together. The mobile player on iPhones and iPads works fine. Just these few browsers.

Please let me know if you need any more information. In advance, thank you for your help.

Thanks for your help Devin. I don't have the skill to do that, so I'll live with post width as it is at 370px.

It might be something you want to consider for future updates, however. For blog posts, a width of 370px is fine. But for portfolio items, where you want to showcase your work to maximum effect, it would be nice to have the fill width.

It seems the portfolio entries use the post template... am I correct? Or can we make portfolio entries use pages?

Hi mattcarreau,

Unfortunately that would take quite a bit of customization and tweaking to get working correctly because of the way divs are set up. I tried some simple css changes but it'll take quite a bit of trial and error to get right and then to do the fixes so that it still works correctly cross-browser.

If you're interested in getting it set up, you'll need to re-do the structure of the posts in includes>loop-index.php and then adjust the css for the new set up.

Regards,

Sure, thanks Devin.

If you visit http://mattcarreau.ca/this-is-a-nice-post/ you will see that I have expanded the .template-blog .entry-content to be 600px. But doing this pushes the feature image/date/author information to the bottom of the page.

I think this looks odd. I would like to keep this in the top right hand corner of the post, and have the entry content wrap around it. Sort of like this:

POST TITLE
-------------------------[                        ]
-------------------------[                        ]
-------------------------[                        ]
-------------------------[                        ]
-------------------------[                        ]
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------  (full width: 600px)

Thanks Devin.

Hello, I had the same question. Thank you for sharing.

I was able to make my post widths 600 pixels... but that just pushes the .blog-meta (with the feature image, date and category) to the bottom of the page, making it look odd. Ideally, I would like that content to remain in the top right hand corner, and have the blog content wrap or flow around it. I tried tinkering with the css to get this effect, but I can't figure it out.

Can you help?

Hm theoretically, but I am not sure if this will work very well:

#top #slideshow_big .slideshow_container{
left: -30px;
padding-right: 60px;
}

this should work when you are using a fullscreen slider on a full width page. on smaller sizes it might be necessary to create variations for the media queries at the bottom of css/layout.css

Is it possible to expand the width of the slider to fill the entire page in boxed mode (990px)?

Hi,

sorry for the delay.

1) In your style.css find the following and adapt the width between the brackets.

.template-blog .entry-content

2) I believe you can just turn your comments off in your WordPress settings to hide all this. To hide the "related" stuff you can add this to your Quick CSS or custom.css

.template-blog .related_posts{display:none;}
.template-blog .related-meta{display:none;}
