Hi pzurcher,

Those are quote varied questions and I'll answer the straightforward ones here but the bug issues I'll ask that you make new topics for. That way we don't try and work on multiple issues at the same time and get confused in what is being addressed.

For the 'Shop 2', if this is your page slug you can change that on the specific page just under the page title. You must delete any previous Shop pages *and* if you have one in your trash for pages.

You can change how the product image displays on the single page by changing the slideshow appearance in the meta box under the visual editor.

The product title gets repeated as the main page header and then under since there is often a large slideshow or sub section there.

To remove related products, you can Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

.related.products {
display: none;
}

And for the product category information:

.summary .product_meta {
display: none;
}

Regards,

Thanks for the help.

I still have the following issues:

'Shop 2' - I somehow made this heading when trying to link my products to categories.. I can't find a page or any reference to 'Shop 2' anywhere. How do I get rid of this?

How do I get an image of a product to appear on the product page (just like in the theme with demo data? I can only get it to show as a featured image.

Why is the title on product pages repeated.?

Page loads at bottom of page, not at top like normal. How do I fix this?

How do I turn off 'related products' from appearing?

How do I turn off 'category' information from showing on the product page?

Thanks and Regards,

Hi pzurcher,

The settings for your images can either be set to Crop or Stretch. You may need to change it in the main theme options>General Settings under Background Gallery Image Cropping/resizing. Each page also has its own setting.

If you have not already, look through the theme documentation that came with the main files you downloaded from themeforest. We don't have any support via voice services at this time.

If you are still having issues, setting up a new test installation on a sub domain or sub folder of your site and then using the "install dummy data" button in the main theme options will give you a basic demo set up and you can then see how all the various theme features are set automatically. If you do this on your current installation it will add a new pages/menus/products so it isn't recommended.

Regards,

Thanks Devin,

If you look at other sites using this theme the photos are completely full screen - when you look at mine they are not. I need them to be the same as the other sites - completely full screen. How do I do this?

"Once you create a category for products and then add a product to that category it will always display on that category page." - That's exactly my problem - how do I add a product to that category? If you look at the different types of orchid categories I have for sale, thats where i need the plants for sale in that category to appear but can't get them to. It seems like the easiest thing in the world to do but have no idea how to get this to happen.

You will see a few products appear fine under 'Shop 2' (which needs to go and instead be appearing categorised all under the main 'SHOP' Buy Orchid Online' menu with its categories). - I can't get the proper linking to that menu item to occur and it's driving me nutttts!!

Can I call someone about this as messages back and forth are just so confusing and slow!

Hi pzurcher,

I'm not really sure what you mean about the categories. Once you create a category for products and then add a product to that category it will always display on that category page.

As for the Fullscreen, the background slideshow will always adjust to the browser size so that should be taken care of automatically.

Thanks NIck,
Very helpful - I'll follow your instructions tonight and hopefully it all works.

I just wanted the whole theme / website to be full screen on any screen so the images fill the screen. This is a big reason why I chose this theme as it makes the photos look amazing full screen. (I have checked my image resolution is high).

Re linking products to categories, I can add a product using Woocommerce, but then it doesn't show up in the categories of the website. I need to link the product to specific categories. Hope that makes sense.

Regards,

Hi,

1. You don't have to force the pages , or do anything for that matter for them to correctly display the categories that they are a part of. . If you look here http://www.clipular.com/c?3114582=joTr_IzgrNt6-09wj2nR2XDkPJQ , you can see the 'Category: Species Orchids.'

2. To unlock additional options in the Menu page please look here for instructions http://i.imgur.com/k1DR80d.png

3. Please look here http://i.imgur.com/xqkOy8S.png .. its a continuation of part 2, showing how you can invent custom menu items.

4, "My problem is I can't link the Woocommerce products to categories " ... http://www.clipular.com/c?3151083=C51FW4FanQIC_ikuRx6Z3hLCTgQ .. i dont understand your problem, is it that you don't know that the blocks move or that they don't move for you.

5. how do I make it full screen? ... please be specific. what do you want full screen and which page . By full screen do you mean a full screen on a smartphone or a 32 inch monitor?

6. This is the css code you currently are using for the headings (size 53px currently). I dropped it down to 28px and see if you like it better. Please add the following css block to the bottom of the /css/custom.css file; OR to Quick CSS located in the admin area of Flashlight > Theme Options > Styling ... the text area at the bottom of that page:

#top .post-title.big_title {
font-size: 28px !important;
font-weight: bold;
text-transform: uppercase;
line-height: 1em;
text-align: center;
}

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a hierarchy of menus under the 'Shop' heading. I need next my product pages to the category pages. I can easily make new product pages but don't know how to get them to sit under the categories I made. This is all under the main 'Shop' menu. Is there a way this can be done easily?

I've tried everything! (I logically thought that you can link under one of the parent items but this doesn't work and only shows 'About Us' there anyway).

I am also experiencing the same problem with bits of the theme overlaying a fullscreen vimeo video, almost as if they have a z-index which puts them in front of the fullscreen video somehow..

I'm getting this on Safari in Mountain Lion, but not Chrome.

Hi Paul,

As far as I know the video player is using the wordpress/vimeo code and so it wouldn't be anything we could modify on the theme side. That said, I'm not getting any issues like you are showing in the screenshot running Windows 7 in any of the major browsers.

Can you make sure you don't have any browser plugins installed or anything else effecting the normal viewing of your site?

Maybe you can use the jquery trigger event http://api.jquery.com/trigger/ but I'm not sure. I asked Kriesi to look into it some time ago but he didn't release an update yet so I assume it's not a trivial task.

You can add a semi transparent bg image with following code (i.e. create a semi transparent png with photoshop/gimp and upload it to flashlight/images):

.arrowslidecontrolls_fullscreen {
    background: url('../images/background.png');
}

2) It's currently not possible to hide the sidebar automatically.

Hey,
you can hide the thumbnail bar. Open up css/custom.css and add following code:

.avia_fullscreen_slider_thumbs {
    display: none !important;
}

Id like to have something like that with possibility to get that mode directly from menu http://www.artifot.pl/request.jpg
I think that mode will interest lots of photographers where content is critically importent.

The biggest problem in this theme IMO is that presentation of the pictures is distracted by thumbnails, and by sidebar or border

Is there any way to turn off the thumbnails, sidebar and leave only delicate transparent [ home << || >> ] buttons in corner

IMO Thumbnails and borders destroying the image composition and are distractive from content

Pleeease help me to make such change ..

OK I got it - I had the theme re-size the images - so select the 3rd option from the last drop down menu. Hope this helps someone.

This is a terrific theme and works really well. I need some help with image sizes. I am using it to showcase photography but can not see whats going o in the background to my images. I am uploading at 2200px wide 300kb and have tried 1200px wide and 300kb but i can never get a sharp looking result. Is there an ideal please as I can see it anywhere in the docs on on here.

many thanks
