Found the problem.

If it's a single slide it won't be responsive, even with the same exact settings.

When I put a second slide in. It becomes responsive.

Odd. But, just as long as it works. I'm fine.

Hey! Are you sure you have set up the default options correctly for your layerslider?

As you can see in our theme demo and also when using the demo slideshows that come with the theme, they are indeed fully responsive.
Probably the smartest thing to do would be to just clone the slider that comes with the theme, leave the settings intact and just remove the slides and add your own :)

Hi,

Yeah, I see the problem. In my honest opinion it is not really a problem, you need to refresh the page first. Let me tag Kriesi about the this. I think there is a way to make it responsive without refreshing the page.

The full width slider isn't adjusting in the browser. I tested it out by halving the browser.

Everything else is responsive though, except for the image and text layover.

All the css that is used on that page is available via inspection. You can use Chrome dev tools and inspect the slideshow and compare to what you have now.

No, the config.php will not help in this case. Of course you can use hooks, etc. to modify the woocommerce templates but tbh this is beyond the scope of this support forum. If the code didn't work for you can try:

.archive.woocommerce .container .template-shop.nine.units{
width: 100% !important;
}

.archive.woocommerce .container .sidebar.three.units{
display: none !important;
}

- maybe the media queries break the code.

Hi Peter.

That did not work for me, but I can see what it is supposed to be doing.
So, I can tweak the CSS here to get that result, and would have done so, but thought I must have been missing something in the config that would accomplish the same.

Thanks,

Hi,

So no sidebars on main shop page, and no sidebars on category pages. And have sidebars on product pages, correct? Since I can't see your site,

Please make sure you are using wp3.5, , current version of the theme propulsion 1.7 , and the latest version of the WooCommerce plugin so that the lines we refer to in our code match yours. Please let us know once that is done.

I am trying to configure Propulsion with WooCommerce so that my site has Product Category pages at full width, while keeping the rest of the site with a right column for widgets.

I have "Default Page Layout" set to "right sidebar" so that all my regular pages have the right sidebar available.
And I was hoping that by not adding widgets to the Shop Overview Page position, it would display full width, but it instead drags in the default Avia dummy widgets.

I could create a new Dynamic Template Page Layout at full width but do not know how to apply it to Product Category pages.

I feel like I am missing something simple, but I cannot see what…

FYI, I am still using widgets on the Single Product pages.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Ashtead,

Yes you can but you'll need to know that pages ID. It would go like this:

#top.page-id-### .entry-previewimage {
display: none;
}

Where the ### is the ID of the page. You can find that out by going to your wordpress backend and opening Pages. From there, open the page you want to find the ID of and then in the URL for that page when editing it you will see the ID number where it says:
`post.php?post=###'
Again, the ### will be the actual ID of the page.

Hi colorit2,

Since the full width page is a template, you'll need to add it to that template. Which in this case is the file called template_fullwidth.php in the main folder of the theme.

Hi,

I use the SEO plugin of Yoast, coming along with the breadcrumb functionality. I have added for this his code

<?php if ( function_exists('yoast_breadcrumb') ) {
yoast_breadcrumb('<p id="breadcrumbs">','</p>');
} ?>

to the page.php and it looks like this: http://pastie.org/5191759

it works fine as long as the page is not a full width page:

.

But as soon as I set the page to full width, no breadcrumbs are shown:

Could you please tell me, where I can add Yoast's code snippet to have the breadcrumbs in full width pages, too?
Thanks a lot!

Hi,

This is a feature of the theme I am afraid, that the blog list page has a sidebar (left or right), and can not be be converted to full screen at a flip of a switch. It's possible to rip the sidebar off of the photo blog, but since you have multiple blogs that share the same functionality and css, you are likely to lose the sidebars on all blog list pages build through the templates. It would be a project, to create the functionality for a full screen blog while retaining the ability to have other blogs that have sidebars on the same site. So please decide how you want to proceed - we can help you rip the sidebar out of the photo blog list (and by default all the other blogs on the site, though perhaps not).

For making customization to your theme's CSS, we recommend that you install and get to know Firebug ( http://getfirebug.com/css ) and Google Chrome developer tools ( https://developers.google.com/chrome-developer-tools/docs/overview ) browser add-on. Firebug is a free web development tool that integrates into Firefox and Chrome browsers and assists in monitoring, debugging and editing of any website's CSS, HTML, DOM, and JavaScript files.

Once installed, this easy to follow 5 minute video will show you the basics of Firebug – http://vimeo.com/20917974 and get you on your way to customizing your theme like a real pro. It's easy.

Thanks,

Nick

That setting already has no sidebar.

Can you try going to the Theme settings>Layout & Settings and then choosing No Sidebar from "Default Page Layout". It would require changing any other page you want to have a sidebar individually, but there may be an issue with the blog templates getting overridden by the top level setting.

Regards,

I have it set that way but it still shows the sidebar.
Here is a screen cap of my custom template. Am I doing something wrong here?
