This is a bit of a hack and not recommended but it's working in your case. You probably have to maintain a single image for the background because I'm not sure if this is going to work on multiple images. Its not a fix to the issue but it may fix it for you in the short term: Can you try saving the gif images without any transparency? I assume that is what is causing the issue.</p> <p>I'll check with Kriesi but I believe the theme actually just uses the wordpress image resizing function and doesn't do any of the heavy lifting which would put actually changing the way the images are processed out of our hands. Ones it's enlarged it's ok but the thumbnail is still in reverse than it should be.
