In regards to the SWF in the header, for now I'd like to just add a welcome message to the logo graphic, which makes the logo twice as wide. now 400 x 802 width .png. How must I alter the CSS in order to accommodate this Devin? or is there a better solution? Currently my 402x402 logo works fine with the above CSS adjustment you offered, hope we can repeat this success ... thanks again. Andrew

Hi Andrew,

You would need to have a freelance developer add in the additional swf or gif in the header. It needs to keep cross browser support as well as cause no responsive issues which is a bit beyond what we can assist with via support.

Right now the only thing keeping your header the large size is the logo. So you can either reduce the size of your logo or Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

#header .logo img {
height: 200px;
}

Regards,

Header issue: I would like to reduce the height/padding of my replete header. I know how to do this in Quick CSS, HOWEVER when the border/socket does not follow suit and I end up with a big blank space between the header border and header and page content, any help on this issue would be welcome!

would it be possible to embed an animated gif or swf into the Replete header centered between the default logo location on the left and the menu / search on the right?

Thanks for the reply!

I've already attempted this, however the height doesn't seem to want to go below 93px which is very odd

Edit - Messing around with the style.css some more it seems that
.container_wrap, #wrap_all { display: table; }
is somehow forcing the height of the header to be 93px, when I disable this rule I can set the header to any height I wish but it obviously messes up the entire site layout.

any ideas?

Cheers

Hey,

You need to add a CSS declaration to adjust the header height. Open up /css/custom.css and under the line that reads:

/* Have fun adding your style here :) - PS: At all times this file should contain a comment or a rule, otherwise opera might act buggy :( */

add this code:

#header {
    height: 100px;
}

Obviously, adjust the height (100px) as required. You may also find as a knock on effect that other elements need adjusting, if this is the case I recommend installing FireBug to assist you in finding the elements to change.

Hey,

You can change the header height by adding this code to the end of style.css:

#head {
    height: 300px;
}

Bear in mind the header section uses images to display the background so the layout will "break" and further modifications are required; what exactly is required is dependant on what you are attempting to achieve.
