Hi,

You will need to regenerate your images in order for them to change. Changing functions.php will only work on future uploaded images but will have no affect on current images. Please install http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ this plugin and you will see in Settings > Media a lot more controlls over the various images in the theme including options for a soft/hard crop and regenerate images.

Thanks,

Nick

This works, but for some reason my first image does not adjust to the correct height, it stays at 340px but then once the slideshow has come full circle it is the correct size... Any thoughts?

Hello,

On your functions.php look for this code

$avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>340);

replace it with

$avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>930, 'height'=>520;

you need to re-upload featured images again for this to work.

Regards,

Hi erikriemsdyk,

If you have a link to the page showing what you have so far we can inspect the css and see what changes may be needed.

Maybe you also need to edit the style for the actual container of the slildeshow. See what happens.

.container {
position: relative;
width: 930px;
height:520px;
margin: 0 auto;
padding: 0;
}

Hi Everybody,

Like my fellow poster "elames" below I'm having trouble adjusting the height of my Slideshow,

It's set to 340px and I want to make it 520px in height,

I copy the slideshow CSS to Custom CSS, edit the first entry >>>

.slideshow{
height:340px;
}

to become

.slideshow{
height:520px;
}

and it doesn't work - well it seems to preload a 520px high background but when the first image come in it slides up and crops it,

I'm no CSS Guru so if anyone can help it would be much appreciated,

Cheers Erik
