Hi,
on http://mz.muze1.de i am facing some strange horizontal rule behvior in FF 20 and chrome, all other browser display them correctly. They are supposed to reach from the word`s "Neues" end to the nex word "Über uns", but somehow the HR moves downward, positioned somewhere in the text. This happens on several pages, either a HR appears where there should be none or its position is messed up. Others work fine.

Any idea on how to solve this?

Thanks & have a great day,
Sebastian

Hi,

Are you talking about the single portfolio view. Please edit includes > loop-portfolio-single.php and find this code

echo avia_flag(false);

I like the "Related" flag horizontal rule at the bottom of the portfolio page, but would like to remove the one above it. The navigation links used to be between the two, but now that I moved the links to the top of the page, this looks redundant. Can you tell me how to hide it from all of the portfolio pages?

Hi KingConga,

This is how to change the color of the elements inside the hr.

For the Vertical Line:

.hr-seperator.extralight-border,
.mini-seperator.extralight-border {
   border-color: red !important;
}

For the Thicker Line on the edge (right part of the hr):

.primary-background.seperator-addon {
   background-color: red !important;
}

For the Flag:

.primary-background.flag {
   background-color: red !important;
}

Hope this helps. :)

I'm tryinf to control the color of the horizontal rule. It currently takes the Border Color, whilst the flag takes the Primary Color.
I have tried the following in the css  with    {color: #  ;}

.hr
.hr-separator
.hr-separator extralight-border
span.hr-seperator extralight-border

Funny thing is that if I use firebug and highlight the thin line and then look at the computed css, it shows me the color that I wanted (same as the Primary Color) but on the page I still see the Border Color.

Hi Susan,

For the image size issue, the images will be constrained to the layout and shrunken down to fit in the area provided or if you use the larger slideshow layout they will be the bigger images that go on top of the product description as in your other example. Its just a difference in how you set the slideshow to display under "Slideshow Size on single entries?".

I'll have to check with another of the support crew on the line question as I'm not sure if there is a function to add it in since you wouldn't be able to do it via the wordpress admin area or through the theme interface.

Regards,

ha! sorted out one problem which was the sidebar defaulting to the right. Fixed this. but help on other issues would be really appreciated.

Plus one other thing: I should like to add the horizontal rule with top link to the shop pages. When I do this using the page edit tools and magic wand, it simply places the rule at the top of the page, just underneath the title bar. Is there a way to fix it to the bottom of the page, so it comes underneath the products?

Many thanks

Hi there, have run onto trouble with a couple of issues on my shop and product pages that I'm hoping you can sort out for me.

1. Sidebar not floating properly on product pages

I have read the previous threads on this issue and have tried the two fixes suggested:

- adding .container.clear{clear.left;} (with or without !important)
- downgrading woo commerce to earlier version

Neither of these worked as you can see from the links below...

However another problem that crept in when I downgraded woo commerce was that my sidebar defaulted to the right - the page layout is set to left. And I can't move it back despite setting the page layout to left sidebar in the page settings.

2.  Image size

The image size on the main product page displays really small. Despite the fact I uploaded images that are much bigger.

http://s154267.gridserver.com/?product=tchaik

In fact I have tested the same image on the woo commerce plugin I have installed on a test site and they come up fine - not sure what the problem is here? I have increased the size of the image in the settings page. Also a large image seems to work on one of the dummy pages provided with the theme. see below.

http://s154267.gridserver.com/?product=test-product-with-a-big-image

Hello,

Yeah, I guess there is no shortcode for that. Meanwhile you can add this on your HTML editor.

<div class="hr hr_flag dynamic_el_3">		<div class="primary-background flag">    		<span class="flag-text on-primary-color">Latest portfolio entries</span>    		<span class="flag-diamond site-background"></span>    		<span class="mini-seperator extralight-border"></span>    	</div>    	<span class="hr-seperator extralight-border"></span>    	<span class="primary-background seperator-addon"></span></div>

I want to make the archive loop look like the search loop. I have almost achieved the task, but I am not being able to figure out the

1. template code for the thumb-sized featured images (that appear on the search results page and the the widgets)
2. reducing the padding of the horizontal rule (it's much more than what appears on search results' pages)

1) You can use following code to affect all menu items:

.avia_mega li a {
    font-size: 15px;
    font-weight: bold;
}

If you want to use a different submenu items style you need use following code too:

.avia_mega li a li a {
    font-size: 13px;
    font-weight: normal;
}

2) It's hard to say because it depends on the widget, html element, etc. but basically something like:

.sidebar .widget{
    font-size: 13px;
    color: #fff;
}

should help you. For links use:

.sidebar .widget a{
    color: #fff;
}

and for headlines:

.sidebar .widget h3{
    font-size: 13px;
    color: #fff;
}

3) You can apply a border to the mega menu:

.main_menu .avia_mega1, .main_menu .avia_mega2, .main_menu .avia_mega3, .main_menu .avia_mega4, .main_menu .avia_mega5{
border: 1px dotted #333;
}

and/or dropdown:

.sub-menu{
border: 1px dotted #333;
}

here's the page -- http://dev.pcmginteractive.com/brunhouse/

1) When i added the code for issue #1 it simply made the drop down menu items larger, but not the main menu items...??

2) In terms of sidebar menus, i was more interested in manipulating the font - color/size/style. got the adding & editing part down.

3) the menu container code simply creates what looks like an hr at the base of the header section... any recs on making it outline the dropdown?

I know several of these could be fixed using a different color scheme - i was trying for a super clean look w/ primary in w/ the minimalist style being #ffffff but am hoping there are ways to editing the parts that need tweaking. Also in this category, the send button on the contact page which is coded rather than a linked image file. I love the Avia framework and overall prefer it over other WP systems but some of the others, Gallantry for example, offers a much broader range of options in setting up the color scheme and general appearance...

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey,
1) Use following code instead:

#top .main_menu .avia_mega ul a {
    font-size: 15px;
    font-weight: bold;
}

For the headlines use:

#top .main_menu .avia_mega h1, #top .main_menu .avia_mega h2, #top .main_menu .avia_mega h3, #top .main_menu .avia_mega h4, #top .main_menu .avia_mega h5, #top .main_menu .avia_mega h6 {
    font-size: 15px;
    font-weight: bold;
}

2) I'd use the "Custom Menu" widget. First create a "sidebar" menu (Appearance > Menus) and then go to Apearance > Widgets. Drag'n'drop the custom menu widget into a sidebar widget area and select the right menu.

3) I'd use following code:

#menu_header .container{
border-bottom: 1px dotted #C0C0C0;
}

You can change the styling, borders, etc.

4) Can you post a link to the page/post where the problem occurs?

Working on the header a bit and have a couple questions...

1) How do you edit the main menu font (want to increase to 15px and bold) without impacting the rest of the site's font.

inserted the snippet below in the quick css box but it of course changes the entire site.

body {
font-size: 15px;
font-weight: bold
}

any recs?

2) how/where can i edit/manipulate other side bar menus.

3) I would like to add a thin border to the main menu in the minimalist theme. Any suggestions?

finally,

4) There's a horizontal rule that keeps showing up at the base of every page between main content and footer. it's not in the template and can't seem to find it in the css.

Thank you!
