Hi jen_design,

I don't know what all changes you've made individually so far but if its just going back to how it was previously, you can re-download the theme files from your downloads on themeforest and then use the base files as reference.

For full customization of the page however, you'll need to look into a freelance developer. We can assist with css fixes and minor layout changes but fully changing the layout isn't something we can do via support.

Sites like https://codeable.io or http://freelanceswitch.com are good places to look if you want to go that route.

Hi,
I want to move the product short description to the right side of the product image. It originally was there, but I wanted to move the product description to fill the space below the product image and short description. The only problem is the short description follows the product description'd frame. I want them in separate frames.

See link:

http://173.254.28.21/~jewelrz8/site/product/3-19-carat-certified-three-stone-blue-white-diamond-engagement-ring-14k-white-gold-handmade-unique-copy/

Is there a way to make a frame for the short description where all that blank space is on the right of the image?

I would also like the ring size and social media in the short description... it is in the main product description now.

Thanks!

Hi jmwilliams83,

When you get the code for iframe content, typically you use that code to specify its height and width. However on the visit-use page you linked, that isn't added in as an iframe, that is using the embed code for google maps where the height and width is also designated by the code.

So yes, you can add iframe content into your page but if you are having issues with a specific page we would need to see that specific page with the iframe (that is having the issue) to try and find a solution.

You can embed iframes by putting the html in the Text tab of a page.

It may need some additional css to get the layout exactly how you want it however, just depending on the type of content.

Hi Devin,

Hi Devin,

On my other blog site that I tested the embed code in, it looks the way yours looks, which is totally fine. Unfortunately, the way it looks in the blog post in this thread is not only limited in the ability to size/resize, but it also has that white space that closes up on rollover. Can you tell me why that is happening?

It isn't happening on your page that you linked to and it doesn't happen on my other blog, here: http://www.christypessagno.com/blog/?p=385 pw: spotify

If I could at least get this rollover fixed, I'll be happy.

Thanks,
Christy

Hey Christy,

I think the actual spotify code has something to do with it. If you open your embed url alone and adjust the window to various sizes it seems to limit the height in some cases and let it expand full height+width in others.

I made a test page with just the spotify iframe and it wont let you change the height if the height+width is to far in proportion. It may just be something you have to tweak and get to a tolerable size.

For example, I used 780px height and 500px width which limited the height to 580px. If I bumped up the width to 550px it expanded the height to 549px (of the actual player inside the iframe) while the iframe itself was what I set originally (780px).

I'll keep my test live for you here so you can see what I mean:

removed

Regards,

Hi Ismael,

I added this to the CSS style sheet and emptied my browser history and cache from the earliest possible point. The embed still looks funky and the embed doesn't reflect any size changes or directions.

I hope this isn't a lost cause as this is a really integral part of our website and we want to be embedding this player once a month.

Thanks for your help,
Christy

Hi,

I thought what Dude said will already fix the issue but try to add this on your custom.css.

#mainContainer {
min-height: 400px !important;
}

.postid-1529 iframe {
min-height: 550px !important;
}

.jspContainer {
min-height: 600px !important;
}

I hope this will adjust the height. Actually, try to do what Dude posted earlier then remove browser history.cache then reload the page.

Regards,
Ismael

Hi Dude,

I replaced the code like you suggested and it doesn't work. :(

Take a look:
http://www.theybklyn.com/2013/02/jan2013music/
pw: spotify

It seems like it did format it to the default width, but the height is still being overridden by something. Here is the only coding in the text section of the post:
<iframe style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;" src="https://embed.spotify.com/?uri=spotify:user:mudskippir:playlist:6DyxOsAbolEybOXjUMyg8i" height="600" width="250" frameborder="0"></iframe>

I went to change the height to 400 and all it did was remove the white space you see under it in it's current state.

The weird white space that closes up when you rollover the player is also still there.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Christy

Probably Kriesi's iframe fix "adjusts" the spotify iframe dimensions. You can try to remove the fix - open up js/avia.js and replace following code:

avia_small_fixes(container);

with:

//avia_small_fixes(container);

Hi,

Yes, that's a good strategy. You can have multiple 'support pages' for each page whose sole function is to be cannibalized by the main page. This way you can have multiple slideshows, area of content within a single page.

Another useful trick is that you have the ability to have your portfolio items automatically redirect to woocommerce products, blog posts, pages, or outside url's instead of going to the portfolio-item page. So the end user will just see the thumbnails with the automatic sorting and after clicking one they taken anywhere you want them to go.

Benefit here is that you can create sortable mini-shops or mini-displays of products with portfolio sort functionality. To have that , when you add portfolio items, only add the image, and in the image options you will see 5 options of where you want the portfolio thumbnail to redirect the end user to.

Thanks,

NIck

Hey, actually I don't need to try this anymore. It just hit me on how to accomplish what I need through dynamic templates.

Initially I wanted to run a special page that I could featured it's slideshow and it's comments beneath it. But say for instance, I wanted to pull that particular slideshow and it's comments and display that set up on the home page amongst other home page elements.

But it just hit me thinking more about it. I can create a dynamic template with the "slideshow element" from that particular page, and then create the "post/page content element" feeding content from that same page beneath that slideshow. This will accomplish what I need.

Appreciate your help...

Hi,

I doubt if you can use PHP or shortcodes on that area. Let me tag the rest of the support team to help us out.

I no longer need this adjustment for what I was doing. I got what I needed from Ismael
@ http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/how-can-i-apply-dynamic-templates-to-single-portfolio-pages

Now that I can use dynamic templates on single portfolio pages I can add the "text area" element in the "template builder" and in the text area I can add my shortcode ;)

However, can I still put shortcodes in the Featured Media section? I would like to know. If so I have another idea that I can use this change for.

Thanks...
