Hi,

Basically, Cubit is called the way it is because of the Toolani function found on js > custom.js which renders cube as slider effect. You might need to hire someone to customize the theme for you. Or you integrate slider plugins.

Regards,

Can you please give more information on how this is done? I would also like to implement a fade instead of the cubit transition. Do I just erase the Toolani plugin (found in /js/custom.js) and input new code. Or can I use an easy install jQuery plugin found in wordpress?

That's a shame. I feel like this theme was billed/advertised incorrectly then. I purchased it because I thought that's what it could do.

Hey BillThorness,

In that case, you would need to use a separate plugin to create a slider with similar functionality and then insert the code to display it in the index.php before the loop of posts gets output.

As far as I know the theme doesn't have support without some significant re-coding to get that kind of effect.

Regards,

I know this isn't even a blog, this is a company, but see how this slider each image takes you somewhere new?

That's what I want the slider on my homepage to do. Each image pulling from a different blog post. Click it, and you go to that post. Is this possible?

I've done that, you can see it on my homepage. The issue I'm having is it's only showing images from my last post. I want to be able to have the slider show images from say, my five most recent posts. That way a user arrives, sees an image, is interested, and when they click they head to that post only. Right now the images I have scrolling only take a user all to the same post.

Hi BillThorness,

On the right hand side of the post editor there should be a box labeled Featured Images. It looks like:

Make sure you are using this box to add in your images for the featured images of that post. You can select Insert Image to add your first one and then hit the + symbol on the bottom left to add additional images.

I have gone into two of my posts on http://coolseasongardening.com/ and selected images and made them "featured images". I also made sure that the slider is set, it's set to fade, use full images, etc. But the feature images are only appearing on the top of each post. I want the featured images to all come together at the top of my blog and rotate. If a user clicks on that image in the large slider, I then want it to direct someone to the single post associated with that image. Am I supposed to add some special code to make this happen?

Thanks

Hello. I created this site using the display theme - http://www.board-governance.com

I edited the css to make room for the logo. The logo is in front of the Flash image slider - which is okay.

But when viewing the site on iPad/iPhone, the pics in the image slider is in front of the logo and the logo is cut off. How do I change that?

Hi -
I just purchased the Shoutbox theme and got most of it up and running. However, on the thumbnails below the slider the picture isn't displaying for the videos I post. here's the site: http://www.dslrvideoandgear.com
Also, when I add a 'featured image' the size is way off and too large. What dimensions do I change in order for the picture to fit within the thumbnails below the slider? Please advise. Thanks - J

Hey,
Please update to the latest version of Avisio - 1.2.1. You can download the update at http://themeforest.net. Replace the old theme files with the new ones (make a backup first though). If you've made customizations you can use version.rtf (the changelog) to replace the updated files only. This update fixes all IE9 incompatibilities.

I am planning to use the image slider on the main page as an ad space, I have 2 questions:-

1- Can I add a featured image without having to add a post? seems it is only possible if I add a post
2- Can I have this image slider on pages I choose rather than only the main page?

Hey,
it works fine for me here - when I click on the first side I can see this page: http://fitkidsplayground.com/fit-kids-duathlon/ - did you solve the problem? Or is the slideshow on another page (not front page)? Which brower are you using?

I want the images in the slider to go to a specific page on the site. I change the link URL to the desired page, when selecting the pic in the "set featured image" popup. I click the insert image as additional featured image button. Then when testing, I click on the image and it reloads the home page. Is my desired result possible with this theme?

Hey,
the slider just displays the excerpt. So you can reduce the amount by using the read more tag. So if you have a text use following tag to seperate excerpt from other content:

<!--more-->

i.e. like:

and I told him that he should get moving or I'd be
on him like a limpet. He looked at me with shock on
his face and said

<!--more-->

more text content....
