Hi Devin,
Thanks for replying. Fx I was trying to upload an image using the portfolio-function in Choices, but the thumbnail didnt show up and
when published, the image didnt show up on the website. But I have partly solved the problem by ftp-uploading the image direct to the server and then next importing the image via the Media library>> to the portfolio site. But apparently I have a broken link somewhere to WP/server.

Regards

Hi Stig,

What do you mean by trying to upload an image to fx?

Can you try switching the theme to one of the default wordpress themes and testing out the upload functionality through wordpress again? You'll need to make sure the basic wordpress functions are working without any themes or plugins active just to be sure there isn't any major issues with your wordpress installation.

If there is, you may need to re-install wordpress or go through the basic troubleshooting tips for the specific issue.

Regards,

but when trying to upload an image to fx. Media Library, I get the question-mark icon. The only way working is coding the picture,
in fx. new posts. Ive tried deactivating plugins. Can you help me here?

Would really easy up the image handling!

By now there is the direct upload from computer the only way - right?

Please try to install the theme manually to make sure that all files are in the correct folder. Unpack the themeforest zip file, then unpack newcast.zip. Use tools like filezilla to transfer the newscast folder via ftp to your server. Navigate to wp-content/themes, delete all "old" theme files and then upload the newscast folder from your harddrive to the server. Upload the folder into wp-content/themes.

Hi all,
The upload media icon is not working. When clicked, nothing happens. The upload window does not open. I can upload a media from the left menu but cannot insert it in a post. This is happening only in Newscast. When I activate the former defaut theme it works perfectly. Back to Newscast, it doesn't work. What can it be?

I had uninstalled unused old themes, and since then I have this file in the theme folder: __MACOSX. In the file there is another file called Newscast. So it is related with Newscast. Maybe it should be somewhere else and not in the theme file on the same level as the entire newscast file? Hope this helps...

Hi Chris,

Unfortunately it seems that NextGen in combination with Flashlight can't be used. I miss the "... then close the window and gallery update preview 'button.

I can only use the option to transfer files from computer to upload to Flashlight. To get a picture two times on the website I must be uploaded also twice.

Is there an opportunity for pictures that are already in the media gallery to place in Flashlight without to upload them again?

Maybe may consider Kriesi that Flashlight can handle Nextgen gallery.

One last note, I know Kriesi must updatet Flashlight to WP 3.3, but the "save all changes" button can't be used in WP3.3. When this button is used then disappear "... then close the window and gallery update preview 'button. The same problem as with the NextGen Gallery in WP 3.3 and WP 3.2.

Unfortunately NextGen is the only "good" gallery script that I have experience with. As an alternative:
I'm not certain but I believe you can upload zip files and then use a plugin to unzip what you've just uploaded, this way it might be faster for you if you'd chose to reupload anything.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your answer.
I've installed NextGen Plugin. But it does not seem to work. If I have chosen a gallery can only select "save changes". If I choose nothing happens.
See screenshot:

http://www.urbannature.nl/_div_/_fora_/FlashligtNextGEN.JPG

I use Wordpress, but only recently I have already programmed an 300 pictures guarantee. So I'm looking for a way to organize the pictures to be stored in Wordpress.

I can only add photos by dragging them from the harddisk to upload. I can not add photos that are already in the media gallery of WordPress

Do you or anyone else for a solution to properly archive photos in Wordpress.

Well I wanted to try the NextGen gallery, I can choose the pictures but I can't get added to the message. In NextGen You could create albums that's something I want.

Can someone help me with the nextGEN Galelry or someone else an alternative so my photos at least in separate groups can be put away

Hey,
because of the new jquery version in WP 3.2.1 all js files (custom.js, etc.) require an update. You download the newest version of Brightbox at http://themeforest.net and replace the old files with the new ones.

Within the Featured Image, "media-upload" iframe, the Gallery and Media Library 'show' controls do not work. When a user clicks 'show' they receive the following error: "Uncaught Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [name=slideshow:__:0:__:slideshow_image]" on line 17 of load-scripts.php

All other toggles work. My guess is that it is the move to jQuery 1.6.1 that is causing these; however, the image upload in the post section continues to work fine including the actions above.
