Hi there,

I want to generate a page, that contains a listing of all post, sorted by category, maybe date.

You could name that an archive, table of content or a sort of sitemap or post-index.

This way the user has an overview of all blogposts. Maybe even with a metadescription below each listing.

Do you know, how to do it? Do I need a plugin for that or does it work with WPSEO by Yoast, or Wordpress itself?

thx

Please re-read the first part of my previous answer. I can't answer you from looking at an image in a non english language. However , have you looked at Woocommerce extensions? They have over 100 of them extending the functionality.

Hi,

Please provide a password. If you need to mail it, please use usjahm (at) gmail (dot) com.

http://www.clipular.com/c?4184033=3-b-YV4YA8vhkj38HHJIFlEnHXQ&f=.png

---
But to answer some of your questions:

2) If you need to replace a string (text) within the theme folder and don't know where to look for it, please read the post here for instructions: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/changing-to-antoher-language#post-102486

3) Replete doesn't come with a Newsletter widget built in , you can use any of the dozens of free or premium widgets that integrate with the theme. You can read more about it here http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/newsletter-in-frontpage#post-102600

Hi diellesu,

1) I'm not sure what you mean. You can re-add in any of the elements of the template builder from the drop down above it but the hover effect from the product images shouldn't alter any content. The main slideshow however will move the page layout if each image isn't the same size.

2) You can add any widget the the footer widget areas and it will then remove that default widget content.

3) The theme doesn't come with a newsletter widget, the one in the demo is just a mock up since there are so many much better alternatives available as plugins than something baked into the theme. Look into MailChimp, or Constant Contact for some easy starting points.

Regards,

Hey antoniocansinos,

It isn't going to be an easy customization as you are really re-creating an entirely new layout. As for the actual html/css, it will be up to you as we aren't able to offer that level of customization through support.

If you aren't comfortable with creating/modifying layouts with html/css and at least a bit familiar with php I would recommend looking into a freelance developer to help complete the customization.

Hello Devin,

Thanks, really the question #1 about the sidebar was easy to guess.

In the other hand, I was checking the question #2 but I found that all FLOATS: are in the left position and the POSITION: is relative. I don´t know in which part of the CSS style I could change it. In addition, I was making test reducing the width of each entry to check if the position of each entries could place automatically, but not!

Hi antoniocansinos,

You'll need to start in the index.php file within the theme files. You can get rid of the sidebar completely by just removing the line:

get_sidebar();

From there, you can modify the structure there as well as the css in style.css.

Hey!

You should give google some time with this, there is actually not much you can do. They will crawl your pages posts and portfolio items and based on the content of these pages (not the underlying code) the sites will rank in google.

Google also takes into account the back links each page receives, bounce rate, internal site linking and many many more things, and it usually ends up that the index page is the most prominent for generic search terms.

Deleting those portfolio items from the google index might push the index page for now but will ultimately do you no good. On top of that I wouldnt even know how what the best way would be to remove the portfolio from the index :/

Hello Kriesi team,

I use Angular theme, which is great. I am almost finished building my site and I started to check google index with my name (which is my site) : I have 2 problems :
- Google seems to index first the URLs of my portfolio-items (which I call portfolio-objet) instead of indexing my static pages.
- When I click on these links, it is not the design of my pages.
Here is the address of my site : http://www.mallorykwiat.com (my name is Mallory Kwiat)
For information I also installed All in one SEO plugin and launched also xml sitemap.
Could you help to erase those portfolio-item index with google/others and put my frontpage instead...
Thanks in advance

Hey,
the problem is that you can't predict the "first" page. Obviously it will be the homepage for most users however if they're referred by links or search engine results to your website they could land everywhere on your page and maybe they'll never navigate to your homepage. Because of this fact you need to include the script on every page (I'd include the script in header.php before the closing </head> tag or in footer.php before the closing body tag). Then you need to use cookies or php sessions to check if the user views "the first" page or if he/she already clicked through several pages....

Hey,
you can use the counter variables to limit the output. I.e. you can use:

if ( $fullsized == 1 ) { my banner code here }

to display the banner after the last fullsize entry.

Hi. I'd like to insert a banner between where the posts transition from the full length to two columns on the home page. I know the code I need but Im unsure of where to insert it in the index file. I seem to keep getting a banner that loops with the posts.

Thanks for the help
