First unzip the newscast folder. Then connect to your server and navigate to wp-content/themes. When I upload the files to the theme folder on my server then I get the "template is missing" error and I can't activate the theme. During the install it reads that the install failed and none of the files end up going through. (I tried checking on the FTP client if any files were there and it was empty). First you need to unzip this package so that you see a regular folder with the following inside:<br /> documentation<br /> Licence<br /> newscast.zip<br /> psd.zip<br /> version.rtf</p> <p>Since it sounds like you've already tried just uploading the newscast.zip file there, it could be that your initial download from Themeforest is corrupted and re-downloading the whole package again may help. So give that a try first, then get to this same step again.</p> <p>Delete any incorrect Newscast theme folders from your wordpress installation before moving on.</p> <p>Now, through wordpress select the newscast.zip folder for upload/installation. Make sure there are no errors and that it all installs correctly.</p> <p>When you go to activate it, if it gives you the same error about not having a proper style.css file, log in to your site via ftp. Navigate to the themes folder and then open up the Newscast theme folder.</p> <p>Back on your desktop, unzip the newscast.zip file file that you uploaded already.
