I'm not sure if it will work with a "social connect" plugin. I tested the facebook comments plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/facebook-comments-plugin/ and it works with Avisio because you can replace the default comment form with it. You just need to remove the comment form by deleting following code in single.php

<div class='entry commententries'>
           		<?php comments_template(); ?>
           	</div>

It seems like Avisio doesn't support this feature because it uses its own comments form template and not the comment_form() function (see http://jetpack.me/support/comments/ ).

Hi jberickson,

It looks like that is just code you've added to the widget title but you can force its removal by adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

#facebook-likebox-2 .widgettitle {

Hi, I grabbed a Jetpack widget for a FB Like Box and installed it on my sidebar. ( http://jamesoneillandthesilvershadows.com/about-the-band/ ).
I'm seeing some code above the box. How do I get rid of it? The code is visible in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Explorer.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

Hi TechShad,

You can give it a try and see. That is generally the best approach in this case. With Jetpack specifically, I know there are often issues since it takes such an invasive approach to everything it does.

If there are issues, we can try and address them, though there is no guarantee we can definitely fix everything (depending on what it does/effects).

Do you know if the theme is compatible with Jetpack plugin?

I don't want to install, and break my installation. My main need are;

- Publicize
- Jetpack Comments (important, does it break the Comments portion of your theme?)
- Infinite Scroll (for the Blog home page)
- Sharing

thanks in advance.

It seems as though JetPack creates its own Feedback object, which competes with Avia Feedback Box. We want to be able to view/edit/approve feedback for Avia Feedback Box and still use JetPack, otherwise our purchase of Avia Feedback Box was wasted.

Hi tophersimon,

I really can't say for sure if that is the issue or not. There are about a half dozen photo gallery plugins/script running and any combination of them could be causing a conflict. Of those, there are 11 errors showing using Chrome dev tools for all the various gallery plugins and scripts.

You could also try setting the entry-content width for full width pages manually by adding the following to your custom.css file (in the css folder of the theme files):

#top .template-fullwidth .entry-content {
    width: 930px;
}

Recently Jetpack released an update that included a way to make galleries show up as titled layout. It's brilliant really for anyone who works with lots of photos.

However on one of my pages the layout isn't going the full width of the content area: http://www.tophersimon.com/families/family-galleries/

Looking at their support a couple comments said something like:

It’s supposed to fill the entire width, but it defaults to 500px wide if the theme doesn’t define a content width, which it looks like yours doesn’t. You could try adding

if ( ! isset( $content_width ) )
$content_width = 610;

to your theme’s functions.php.

I've tried this but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any suggestions?

Hi hsaleem1,

Looks like there's a difference between the CSS for the two buttons. The one button has a background-position applied to it that I believe displays the "f" next to share. I suggest comparing the values in share-button-css then overwriting any settings in your custom.css.

Somehow, the Facebook icon badge differs between the posts page and the product page.

Hi hsaleem1,

I'm not having any issues with the display of them when I visit the pages now. Glad you were able to fix the alignment issues and feel free to post your additions for anyone who may be trying to use the same plugin and looking for a fix as well.

Regards,

I made some CSS tweaks to get the alignment correct. Still, you could observe the issues at the following pages:

http://bombaysupplies.com/shopping-cart-updated-prices/ (Displayed correctly)
http://bombaysupplies.com/shop/wallets/wallet-for-men-2/ (Displayed incorrectly)

I added a couple of CSS modifiers to get the alignment correct, but the FB button still gets messed up. This happens only on product pages, the alignment on news pages is perfect.

Another issue noticed is when the sharing buttons are not under a commone "Share" button. The vertical alignment is messed up, and they dont come under a centrally aligned axis.

Hi hsaleem1,

If you could provide a link to the site it would help in possibly providing a fix for the issue. While we can't guarantee that all plugins (even jetpack) will work flawlessly with the theme, if we can provide a fix we will.

Regards,

Hello,

Jetpack adds some nice sharing links to WordPress. However, with Abundance, seems like the icons do no display correctly. The following images describe the problem:

Product Page:

Hey!

I don't know what is causing this but you can hide the second one by adding this to your Quick CSS or custom.css

.summary .social{display:none;}

Best regards,
Chris
