Hey kerrycrocker,

Not that I know of no. This is a bit more in depth fix but the way he usually works is to do his entire list of updates at once (usually at the end of the month) and then release theme updates.

Just wondering if Kriesi has been able to evaluate when this fix might make it into his schedule?

Hi wongbrother,

As far as I know that is actually completely unique to wordpress.com blogs. It actually uses a script and system that only they have from what it looks like.

Hi Mya,

Thanks for the reply. Indeed i do host my own site, so yes by your suggestion i would be wordpress.org
http://www.wongbrotherdesigns.com

I currently have jetpack installed, but it doesn't tell me who likes my page directly on my page, i notice that one of my blog posts has 15 likes, but i have no way of telling who has liked this page.

Can you recommend any plugins that would tell me that? if this is a conflict of interest perhaps you might be able to tell me the keywords to search for said type plugins.

Thanks
wongbrother

Hi,
Thanks for the fantastic theme (Coherence). And the support forums have been so helpful so far. You guys are great!

1. On Firefox (many versions ranging from 3.6.13 Mac OS X 10.7 to version 15 on OS X 10.8 and version 15 on Win7), when I roll over the Facebook "Likes" link on any post, the link text disappears, rendering it non-clickable (as well as invisible).

The FF error console gives me:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80570018 (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_IID) [nsIJSCID.getService]" nsresult: "0x80570018 (NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_IID)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://webdeveloper/content/tools.js :: webdeveloper_isJavaEnabled :: line 4" data: no]

2. On Safari (5.1.3 on OS 10.7 and iPad (very recent)) and Chrome (Mac OS 10.7 versions 19 and 21, OS 10.8 version 21), rolling over the Facebook "Likes" link on any post, the FB Like click registers and the counter eventually updates, however, the little pop-up "window" that shows your FB profile pic is very cropped so that you can't see whatever content is supposed to show up there. I see it on the Coherence and Choices demo themes, so not just on my WP install. Chrome's javascript error console give me this message upon click:

Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://static.ak.facebook.com/connect/xd_arbiter.php?version=10#channel=f2398a8f4c&origin=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kriesi.at&channel_path=%2Fthemes%2Fcoherence%2Fblog%2F%3Ffb_xd_fragment%23xd_sig%3Df3525c782c%26 from frame with URL https://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?channel_url=http%3A%2F%2Fstatic.ak.facebook.com%2Fconnect%2Fxd_arbiter.php%3Fversion%3D10%23cb%3Df3e8da869%26origin%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.kriesi.at%252Ff2398a8f4c%26domain%3Dwww.kriesi.at%26relation%3Dparent.parent&extended_social_context=false&font=arial&href=http%253A%252F%252Fwww.kriesi.at%252Fthemes%252Fcoherence%252F2011%252F12%252F17%252Fkriesi-at%252F&layout=box_count&locale=en_US&node_type=link&sdk=joey&send=false&show_faces=false&width=250. Domains, protocols and ports must match.

Please advise on how I can get the Facebook Likes functioning on all platforms. I'd really like to avoid stripping out the FB functionality here and having to add in use of a social plugin. Thanks (the site is http://www.zshiftgroup.com)!

Hi wongbrother,

Do you host your website on WordPress.com? Reason I ask is the URL you listed above is for users of WordPress.com only not WordPress.org. I know that sounds confusing but here's the difference. WordPress.org is where any user no matter who they host their website with can download the WordPress package and install it.

WordPress.com, on the other hand, is for those users who want to use WordPress but don't want to bother with finding a host, buying a domain name or installing it themselves. The other difference is that with WordPress.com you have added features such as email notifications when someone likes your post. With WordPress.org you only receive notification if someone comments on a post. That is unless you use a plugin that offers that feature. If it did it would be under the plugin's settings or options page.

So you may want to check your plugin's page to see if the feature is offered. You may also want to Jetpack's page at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Mya

hi guys,

i have read all the wordpress forums, & they speak of receiving an email, whenever someone likes my post on my website.
however i do not receive any emails about who this is.

i have looked at the settings/discussion area to tick the right box, but said box does not exist.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-notifications/#can-i-reply-to-likes-or-follow-notification-emails

i have jetpack installed & also a Facebook plugin that posts directly to my Facebook page.

do the likes come directly from my Facebook page?

can you please tell me how i am suppose to know or how can i find out who has liked my page directly.

please advise

hi there. i followed the new update instructions for pretty photo and if u click on it which has the social integration such as twitter and facebook so when u click on facebook like or twitter like it doesn't shows up on the facebook profile wall.

i'm opening a new thread so that it can be easy for u to resolve as i mention this out in my last thread where u helped me out for upgrading the pretty photo which is very thankful and kind of u guy's.

if u can resolve this issue of fb and twitter likes it would be great.

here's the test link of my site.

http://test.bhaveshthawani.com/?p=15

u will see when u click on the image it opens the video too but when u like it, during that it shows u have liked the video over here but it doesn't show's up at the facebook wall or twitter wall. i guess some bug. if u can fix this it would be great to use this new pretty photo update as facebook and twitter social media integration is the major plus point with the new update.

thanks a lot. hoping to hear soon from u great guy. :)
