In this case I think Nick is totally right. I include certain functionalities for the most popular services but I am not a fan of adding every feature under the sun to a theme. The plugin will let you know that an update is available if a single social network changes their API without the need for a complete theme update. A great WordPress theme should not restrict developers by including every known bell and whistle, but to provide a robust foundation/framework easily extendable by the thousands of free (and premium) WordPress plugins. In the meanwhile, you can either: 1) If you know PHP, you could modify helper-social-media.php and add the functionality yourself. 2) It is also possible to let visitors share a single page you select on their Linkedin profile, the same link from every page of your website. So only your homepage would be shared (for example) on your visitor's Linkedin profile from every post and page, and not the actual page on which they clicked the icon.
