I have the header set to "Small fixed Header". The logo transitions from real size to shrunked size just fine when I scroll down. However, when I scroll up to the very top of the page using Chrome or Safari on a mac, and the browser does its "rubberband" type of effect, the logo responds by getting even larger. Is there a way to prevent the logo from getting any larger than it's regular size?

To Support: For the ENFOLD Theme (version as of June 1, 2013, LOGO function to upload jpeg logos is not functioning properly. Here's what I'm doing, but it's not working:
1st:) I go to the ENFOLD THEMES OPTIONS and UPLOAD the jpeg LOGO I created.
2nd) I click SAVE ALL CHANGES, then go to the site and REFRESH the page.
The problem is that the page(s) still show the ENFOLD LOGO. Additionally, it seems the theme limits the size of the logo.
Please advise as to how to resolve this problem. Feel free to also email me directly at michaeldg7@gmail.com

Everytime I upload a new logo it's being resized.

ie: 400x88 to 355x88.

I resize my logo to 355x88 then it's resized to 315x88.

Is there any way I can upload a logo picture without being resized? Because logo logs blurish because of resize.

Hi,

One thing I can add is that you can use this instead, but doubt its needed.

h1.logo {
float: left;
padding: 0;
position: relative;
margin: 0;
display: block;
}

And from all that , there is not one thing that is actually affecting the logo, except perhaps the float:left, though its affecting things under the logo by a few pixels.

instead remove your old css (.logo,.logo a) and the one i posted, and use this: (if you can;t remove old css, try leaving it in, though IE is cranky sometimes)

h1.logo{
position:absolute;
right:20px;
}

or if that too radical of a look you can try this more conservative approach. Make sure to change the browser size to see how it moves in smaller screen sizes.

h1.logo{
position:absolute;
left: -1px;
top: 15px;
}

Just please add the css to /css/custom.css to the bottom, and there is no need to take anything out of what was there before. I can't test it on IE unfortunately but if you need to tweak it up or down just change the 'top:15px' line.

Please let us know how it went.

Thanks,

A few weeks back I was given some code to lock the logo and menu into a fixed position. Therefore it would stay on screen all the time (even when im scrolling). Its been working fine but since upgrade to 1.5 when I shrink the screen to IOS sizes or try it on an iPhone the main screen is literally cut in half (one side is blank)

You can see the effect if you try out my website.... andypeck.co.uk

See below the lines of offending code where the main issue seems to be the lines related to the logo position . However, if I remove it then the logo is positioned too high. The only other way is tweaking the 'locking' part of the CSS which relates to scale but when I do this the logo resizes too small.

Here's the code:

/* LOCKS MENU INTO FIXED MODE - SCALES LOGO */
strong.logo img, #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a {
height: 50px !important;
line-height: 50px !important;
padding-top:0px !important;
}

/* ADJUSTS LOGO WITHIN HEADER */
.logo {
margin-top: 20px !important;
margin-bottom: 30px !important;
}

/* ADJUSTS HEADER HEIGHT */
#header_main {
height: 90px;
}

cheers

Hi samforan,

The space for the logo is about 100px high. So with a 25px high image it sits at the top. You can do something like:

.logo, .logo a {
padding-top: 19px;
}

Or use a taller image to move it around a bit.

Personally I can't reproduce this issue - it seems to work on IE8,9 (emulated with the dev console) and 10 just fine. You can try to use conditionals: http://www.quirksmode.org/css/condcom.html to add CSS code to the website which just affects IE browsers. I'd insert it in header.php before the closing head tag. I tagged this thread for the other support staff members - maybe they can reproduce the issue.

Hi,

Edit framework > php > function-set-avia-frontend.php, find this code

if($logo = avia_get_option('logo'))
 {
 $logo = "<img src=".$logo."/>";
 $logo = "<$headline_type class='logo'><a href='".home_url('/')."'>".$logo."$sub</a></$headline_type>";
 }

Replace it with

if($logo = avia_get_option('logo'))
 {
 $logo = "<img src=".$logo." alt='' width='300' height='100'/>";
 $logo = "<$headline_type class='logo'><a href='".home_url('/')."'>".$logo."$sub</a></$headline_type>";
 }

We specified the width and height of the logo. You need to upload a logo with 600x200 dimension. Upload the logo then select the fullsize thumbnail. It will still be 300x100 on a normal display but it will retain its quality on retina display because the original image size is 600x200.

Regards,
Ismael

I read online that a retina ready image is essentially double the size (i.e. 300x100 = 600x200). Given this information, I uploaded a main logo that is double the size and all it did was add a huge logo in that spot. Is there a way for me to have it display at 50% always or what would be the best way for it to work on regular and retina system?

Perhaps some quick css will fix this?

Thanks!

It then causes issues in IE, but works well in Chrome. Is there another way I should be tackling this issue? Thanks.

Hello, changed this and it works well, but the alignment is off, so in the layout.css, I change

.logo, .logo a{
float:left;
padding: 0px;
position: relative;
margin: 0px;
display: block;
}
to

.logo, .logo a{
float:left;
padding: 0px;
padding-top: 14px;
position: relative;
margin: 0px;
display: block;
}

Thanks Devin, I may have solved the problem myself thanks to your help. I resized the logo in photoshop and adjusted the Quick CSS that your provided. It's not the sharpest image, but I think with some size/CSS tweaking I can get sharpen the media file and make it work. if you care to look, http://www.irishimportshop.com/blog - of course if you have any further suggestions that owuld be great too. Best.
