Hi Vanwero,

I think only flash is the only thing that is compatible to both. I think uploading it to youtube or vimeo and paste the embed code in your site, is a better solution to it.

Regards,

Hi Ismael,

thanks a lot...

Which video-extension works best in both? (Windows & Mac, iPad, iPhone,...)
Do you know that?

- wmv seems to work in windows (as it is a Windows Media File)
- MP4 seems to work on mac, iPad, iPhone (but not online on Windows pc's)

Thanks in advance.
Vanwero

Hi Vanwero,

I think you should convert the file, .wmv is not recommended on the web. But if you want to still use it, you can check this site: http://www.ehow.com/how_8256006_import-wmv-files-wordpress.html

Hi,

I want to embed a movie (.wmv) in a page or post. Is this possible?
I've uploaded the wmv-file in my media-uploads, so I can create a link to it, but as said... I want to embed it into a page or post.

Any suggestions? Usefull plugins? Html-code,...?

Thanks in advance!

Ps: I also tried to do it with youtube (plugin: "Advanced YouTube Embed Plugin - Embed Plus"), but thats not such a "clean" solution (youtube => advertisements, similar movies at the end which are proposed,...)

Vanwero.

Any bold headings such as portfolio titles, footer headings, and in my case the main nav links (b/c I changed them to bold) turn into a garbled mess of characters when viewed in Opera. Though it's not a very popular browser, it is important for my client that the site render well in all browsers. Please see this screen shot to see what I mean: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1629480/ScreenShot-PropulsionTheme-Opera12.0ForMac.png
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Then download the files again. I'd wait 1 day though because it takes some time until the themeforest staff reviews the update.

I've looked at the recent Chrome vs Firefox on  thread. Mine is about the callout box not displaying and aligning the same in two different browsers. I absolutely need correct alignment or it throws the look. You can check out the changes if you visit kesef.ca/zahava . I'm looking to get the site up ASAP and would really appreciate any help.

I can see the classes to target, but I can't find the specific div tags. If you had the specific divs or lines in code that would be great.

Happy holidays.

also seems to happen in the corona theme. I will upload an update soon. for now you can simply add the following css rules to your custom.css file to fix the problem:

div .container_wrap{display:block; clear:both; }
div #footer, div #socket{overflow:hidden;}

Today I also upgraded to Wordpress 3.3 on 3 more sites (built on different themes by different designers). No problems. Everything is working fine. Looks the same in Firefox, Safari and Chrome.

To see if this may have something to do with the theme I also upgrade to Wordpress on my site that is using the Flashlight theme by Kriesi. Again no problems. Everything stills looks and works the same.

Somehow the upgrade has affected only the Abundance theme in Chrome.

Hope this helps someone figure out an answer.

Cheers

I have also tried everything to fix this problem on my site but I am still getting the same protrusions. I am only having this issue with Google Chrome for Mac.

Everything was fine until I updated to the latest Wordpress 3.3.
