Hi Heleen,

I believe the videos available are the ones here: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/angular/template-files/video-tutorials/

The framework is the same between angular and abundance so the steps are almost identical.

For multi language support, the theme works with http://wpml.org/

Regards,

You need to translate the theme text strings too. The translation file (po file) can be found in the angular/lang folder. Open up default.po with a tool likw poedit and translate all text strings. Then save/upload the translated file as tr.po and tr.mo into the angular/lang folder.

Hi,

I have Angular theme and WPML CMS. The default language is English, when I switch it to Turkish, some parts such as theme header, search box text (search site), footer headers remain in English. What I want is, all content should be displayed in Turkish. I have also mo and po files for Turkish, which are originally download from WP Turkey. I couldn't find anything about it in the documentation, so here I am.

What could you suggest me to fix this problem?

Found an answer with Widget Pro, although not ideal but I still have an issue with my widget area where I have lost what appears to be JS functionality, it seems the drag and drop option is lost and all is static with just add options by each widget. Also, apart from 'Display All' the others such as 'Footer Column 1' have nothing inside them although they do have widgets actively working. Any ideas how I can get the old functionality back?

Thanks

Hi I installed their Shoutbox theme (Whch I LOVE!) with WPML and have the site running in English and Spanish, what I can't figure out is how to allocate featured posts or translated categories for the homepage content as it only seems to be available for the default site, language http://www.gdlife.com.mx.

So my site is by default is in Spanish and second site in English. When I go to Appearance / Widgets, which has lost its drag and drop functionality, that under 'Displayed Everywhere' are the widgets for the homepage. Under all other 'sidebars' and footers for example I don't see anything... I'm guessing there is something wrong there for a start but apart from that why don't these widgets appear on the English translated site http://gdlife.com.mx/?lang=en ??

Also strangely, I added categories in English too and when editing a Spanish post or creating a new Spanish post the only categories available are those English ones. I have checked within post categories and the Spanish ones exist...

Really all I want is to be able to configure the widget area as before and have the same widgets appear in my English version.

I would really appreciate the help as I am meant to be launching tomorrow.

Many thanks!!

The address field is provided by WooCommerce and it's not affected by our theme in any way. Probably this is an incompatibility between WooCommerce and WPML. The devs still work on some issues and not all strings are translateable yet.

Hi, I am trying to setup an eshop with woocommerce and your Flashlight theme. It should run in 2 languages, English and Greek. When I try to translate with WPML string translation the Placeholder texts that appear when you click for example in the Address field although they are translated in the WPML plugin they do not translate in the GReek page. Most of the other strings in your theme work fine. Any ideas?

Open up default.po with poedit: http://www.poedit.net/download.php and translate all strings. Then save the file as fr_FR.mo and fr_FR.po and insert/upload it into the propulsion/lang folder. Afterwards all theme related front-end tex should be translated properly.

Thanks dude,

I have no problem getting that file fully translated and sharing it here, but i still don't get it, and i would need this to work to do it.

I'm trying to learn how to build a multilingual/multisite install with WP using available online info, but the info here and the info elsewhere doesn't seem to fit.

So you're saying i should just translate that "default.po/mo" file and re-upload that same "default.po/mo" file into the folder ../themes/propulsion/lang/ ? Under the same name? Or fr_FR?

I translated "this entry has" from the default file, i saved both files (mo/po), uploaded them in /propulsion/lang/, and i still see "this entry has", and not my translated text. There's definitely something i am missing here.

Whit this method, how and where do i set the site language? Usually from Settings / General, but without using the WP language directory, i don't see the language option.

Does multisite / multilingual work while using a child theme? I know it works fine with one site, but multilingual i am not sure

Thanks

We don't offer a french version yet (we can just provide files other users sent us). You need to translate the default po/mo file by yourself. I'd appreciate if you can provide your translated files afterwards because this will help other users who want to use a "french version".

Did you translate the files from here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/propulsion-translation-files ? In the first post you said "I tried to take the po/mo files from a complete french wp download " which indicates that you used the standard wordpress mo/po file to translate the theme. This won't work because the theme uses other files. The standard wp po/mo files are required to translate standard text strings and the backend, the theme mo/po files will translate the theme text strings.

merci Laminak, merci Ismael
(Ismael, i speak perfect english, don't worry about french translation)
