Hey,
yes it's the proper way (otherwise the image is resized by css). Maybe you need to regenerate the thumbnails with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Thank you for your quick response! I had it displaying nicely using only CSS and after seeing your reply, changed the functions.php. I don't see any change (nor did I expect one at this point) but I expect this additional tweak should prevent future issues. Thanks again.

Hey,
I think two modifications are needed:

1) Change the thumb size in functions.php

2) Add following code to css/custom.css:

.feature_thumb {
    width: 184px;
}

and adjust the width value.

HI there,

My client would like five photos to be displayed in the (Shoutbox) slider below the main photo. Is there a clean way to do this? I've managed to resize the photos in the CSS, but am concerned about functionality. My guess is that the photos are sized by default to a width of 184 px. Can and should this be adjusted to match the new width used in the CSS? Also, the layout and alignment aren't quite right the way I've done it.

Thanks for your help,
