The reason why it doesn't work is that you need to set at least one portfolio image. Otherwise isotope won't initialize the sort filter. Please set a featured image for each portfolio item and the filter should work.

Hello,

Here is the link: http://berza.it/dev/linea-parrucchiere-estetica/
It's a development environment and at the moment there are only two portfolio items, but the filter should show up anyway..

Also, I noticed I posted in the wrong section: actually the theme is Flagship and not Flashlight.

Thanks,

Hello,

I have a very specific issue with Flagship's portfolio filters. I mean the links that should show up once a portfolio page has loaded and that are used to filter among portfolio items.

Specifically, I'm talking about the following item:

<div id="js_sort_items" style="visibility: visible; opacity: 0; ">
...
</div>

The opacity of this item doesn't change once the page has loaded (as I see on http://www.kriesi.at/themes/flagship/template-files/portfolio-4-columns/ ), but stays at zero.

I can see that's the problem because if I remove that attribute with the Chrome page inspector (or set it to 1), the filter reappears.
Actually, being an opacity attribute, the filter is clickable even when it's not visible.. but of course it's not useful :)

I tried to dig into the theme files and found a function that should manage that item's behavior, but I didn't want to modify anything before asking.

This is very strange, because I already installed the theme on the same domain and this has never been a problem. Now I'm using it in a /dev/ folder to prepare a new release of the website, but this problem showed up.

Hi kevin77,

Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

#top .portfolio-sort-container .slideshow li img:hover {
    opacity: 1.0 !important;
}
#top .portfolio-sort-container .slideshow li img {
    opacity: .40 !important;
}

It won't work on video thumbnails because of the way they work but it will work on all others I believe.

Regards,

Wo muss ich was ändern?

Danke im Voraus!

Hi,

The code you pasted above will indeed do this, but it will do it for every single image in the website, which I don't think will be such a good idea.

"mouse overs the image" is called the 'hover' effect, and if you notice your second block of code has the :hover, so first block of code is when the image is normally seen, and the second block takes over when a mouse hovers over the image. \\

Please try this instead
a) add this to your Quick CSS in the backend or to custom.css

.image1
{
opacity:1.0;
filter:alpha(opacity=100); /* For IE8 and earlier */
}
.image1:hover
{
opacity:0.4;
filter:alpha(opacity=40); /* For IE8 and earlier */
}

and add this to the content of your post or page. Just change the 'src=' to a url which leads to an image, and change 'href=' to a url link to a page. Just make sure that 'class=image1' is not touched since its defined in the css above as such.

<a href="your link url"><img src="resources/your image.jpg" alt="" /></a>

img is a tag reserved for all images, thus it didn't work for you as you wanted.

Thanks,

Nick

love this theme so far! Could you tell me if we could add a transparent opacity colour when the mouse overs the image link in portfolio? I have managed to remove the IMG title, but would like to add some form of interaction when the mouse overs the image link. I've looked up css and they said to add :

img
{
opacity:0.4;
filter:alpha(opacity=40); /* For IE8 and earlier */
}
img:hover
{
opacity:1.0;
filter:alpha(opacity=100); /* For IE8 and earlier */
}

But that didn't work.

Maybe this will work.

.content .box {
background: rgba(255, 255, 255, .8);
}

UPDATE:

For what it is worth, I placed this code in the custom CSS:

.portfolio-size-3.content .box, .container.three_columns .content .box {
width: 660px;
background: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8);
}

This successfully changed the transparency of the main shop page without affecting the products/text (Yay!!) and left the individual product pages unchanged (Also yay!!!), however, every other content box (Such as the About page) remains unchanged and fully opaque.
Not sure if that helps at all, but I figured I'd let you know!

Hi there!

My site is ShopCirca360.com, and you're all probably tired of seeing me around the forums by now, but I have another question! :)
I want to adjust the transparency of the content boxes on the website so that the background image shows through slightly.
I scoured the forums and found various snippets of code that kind of accomplished what I was looking for, but didn't quite do it. So here's where my specifics come in to play.

I want to be able to fade all the content boxes to, say, 75% opacity without affecting the transparency of the text.
Also, and importantly, I want the product pages (viewing individual products) to remain unaffected.
Is this possible?

Thanks in advance! Your support has been great!
