I just started to customize the template and I have problems to display the product in the online store section.
I mean, after selecting the product, I click to see more details and the contents are displayed incorrectly.
The link to the section: http://rey-lear.com/web/?product=rey-lear-crianza

Thank you very much for the support.

Okay, figured it out. Well, sorta. When I created the post it must have bugged a bit, because no matter what I did, it wouldn't allow a gallery to be uploaded. It'd be there looking normal, but would never actually post to the background of the page. I copy and pasted all the content into a new blog post and re-did the background gallery, and it worked. I deleted the old post. It was a bit of a headache, but hopefully it was a one-time glitch, and not a hoop I need to jump through every so often.

Hello, I just posted a new blog entry at http://www.winnphoto.net/blog and when I went to make sure the overview image was present, it was not. I'm talking about the blog post at the top, entitled, "Jen and Kevin's Christmas Card Shoot...." I have added a gallery of two images with the option "use as background slider only" selected. For my other posts, this has done the trick. For this particular blog post, I noticed that the default website gallery is being displayed. The two image gallery I made for this post is not showing up anywhere. I opened up another post side-by-side with this one and everything is identical (all options) except the content itself. Any ideas on why this is not working. And for that matter, is there any better way to insert a blog overview image. Thanks!

My site is http://www.winnphoto.net
The blog main page is http://www.winnphoto.net/blog
The post I'm having trouble with is at http://www.winnphoto.net/jen-and-kevins-chrismas-card-shoot-december-9-2012/

Hi colorit2,

It can also be done by adding this in your Quick CSS or custom.css:

.more-link {
 display: block !important;
}

Hi,

uff, I think, I see not the wood for the trees :-(

I have checked my loop-index.php, to get the term "read more" in a new, separate line as the post's content.

<div class="entry-content">
<?php
if(strpos($avia_config['layout'], 'medium_image sidebar') !== false) echo $slider->display_small('blog');
the_content(__('Read more →','avia_framework'));
if(has_tag() && is_single())
{
echo '<span class="blog-tags">';
echo the_tags(''.__('Stichworte: ','avia_framework').'<span>');
echo '</span></span>';
}
?>
</div>

CSS

.more-link {
display: inline-block;
font-size: 11px;
font-style: italic;
padding-top: 0;
}

live (site in maintenance mode):

This blog overview page (with the post excerpt, that you see above) is created with a dynamic template, if this is relevant:
1 page with slideshow and some intro text + the "blog" element after it.

Any idea for changing the php or the CSS file?

Hi colorit2,

You could put them in Display Everywhere or for your needs you could just add them to the Blog sidebar and then limit the ones you want to only show on is_single().

Hi,

Please install this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/

When you look at any widgets after installing the plugin you will see an extra field. This is where you can place conditional tags to direct where the plugin is to be shown:.

Example:
is_single() - any post
is_single( '3' ) - only on post whose id=3
is_page() - any page

and so on, there are a few dozen of these conditional tags so you can narrow it down as much as you want and add multiple instances of the same widget so that depending on the logic it will be shown in the same location but with different settings.

Please read more here -> http://www.bourncreative.com/wordpress-widget-logic
Complete list of conditional tags -> http://codex.wordpress.org/Conditional_Tags

Good luck,

Hi,

how can I solve it, so that a blog overview page (like demo here) has a different sidebar, i.e. different widgets than a single post.

I would like to add to the blog overview page completely other widgets than I would place in the sidebar of a single post.

(Within themes options I can create custom sidebars, but only for PAGES - and a single post is not a page.)

Try reloading the includes>loop-portfolio.php to where it was to begin with. If you didn't save a backup, you can re-download the theme files from themeforest under your Downloads.

 'include'	=> $includeArray

Replace that with:

$filtered_cats = array_filter($includeArray,

Hi @all,

I guess, this is not a matter of generally not working, I guess, that I for myself have made a mistake adding the code mentioned above. I'm not very familiar with PHP, but it seems that I have added DUDE's code on the wrong place or have replaced not the right things. We should first solve this ;-) Thanks.

I updated the code - it seems like it's an array and not a string - this is quite strange though because according to the docs: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_categories exclude does not accept an array...

thanks for your patience and help, but I'm not quite sure, if I have added it right, because I get now an error:

Yeah, I hoped that it's possible to include and exclude a category at the same time but obviously it's not. Use following code instead:

$filtered_cats = array_filter($includeArray,
	function ($cat){
 return ($cat != '91');
	}
);
$includeArray = $filtered_cats;

$args = array(

 'taxonomy'	=> 'portfolio_entries',
 'hide_empty'=> 0,
 'include'	=> $includeArray
	);

and use your own id instead of 91.

thanks, I've tried it, but it excluded nothing. I have verified, that I have the right portfolio category IDs, but nothing is excluded.
Maybe the template builder is a reason, because this page, I'm talking here about, is created as a "normal" page with a dynamic template, including some elements, text etc., and a part with a portfolio overview - sortable.
The function itself (the sorting) works fine, but it doesn't exclude the ID 91 in my case.

How can I exclude some special "portfolio categories" from the "sortable portfolio overview page"?
I mean not the images (they should be shown), but only the small words of those special categories, with which we can sort the portfolio items at their overview page.

Here: the words "verkauft", "verfügbar" (= portfolio categories) should not appear at this overview, but the images, tagged with this categories should remain there!

Explanation: I tag images with, for example, "Acryl" + "verkauft" and show at the portfolio single page a status "sold".
"Sold" is set as a portfolio category.
But this category has the only aim, to show me the status at the portfolio single view,
and the (portfolio category) word "sold" should not appear on the portfolio overview page, but images tagged with it, should remain.

Hi,

I've created a page with the template builder, showing some portfolio overview. But the template builder gives me only these options:

Where can I change the template files, so that at this portfolio overview only the image + title is shown, but not an excerpt?
Thanks.

Hi,

That's strange, because before I started playing around with it in the video, I was also using the standard features, and everything looked completely different. There is something not working properly if the featured post widget is behaving this way. I would try to use the custom templates as it's shown in the video, since I am sure you have better things to spend your time on than reinstalling and testing for the cause of this (which most likely is another plugin, or a partially incomplete update of Wordpress or the theme).

Please let us know how you are progressing,

Thanks,
