This is a old printing trick where you have bleeds and trim marks for things that you know may be cut off when something goes out for print. It's the standard wordpress thumbnail generation behaviour which we can't change. It seemed to have worked for juluque, I have no idea why it would work for juluque and not for you. Do you have any crazy plugins or scripts installed? It doesnt make any sense to have a repeated image. I just dont know where to star. Thank you for your help, other than that the theme is working flawless!
