Hi Ashtead,

Yes you can but you'll need to know that pages ID. It would go like this:

#top.page-id-### .entry-previewimage {
display: none;
}

Where the ### is the ID of the page. You can find that out by going to your wordpress backend and opening Pages. From there, open the page you want to find the ID of and then in the URL for that page when editing it you will see the ID number where it says:
`post.php?post=###'
Again, the ### will be the actual ID of the page.

Regards,

Is there a way you can remove the preview for only a single post? I would like to add a full page infographic on a post and can not seem to do that with the current settings. Thanks!

Hey Whitegrafix,

With a little bit of css we can hide the thumbnail that gets automatically added to the top of the single posts so that you can then insert an image at the size you want.

In your wordpress backend, go to Appearance > Editor which should automatically have the Newscast: Stylesheet (style.css) open already. Now add the following right above the "/* Small reset */" line:

#top.single-post .entry-previewimage {
display: none;
}

Make sure to hit Update File so that the file saves with the new css and you can add the images to your posts using the wordpress insert media tool.

Note: If you update your theme, you'll need to re-add the above CSS to hide the thumbnails again so make sure to save the css snippet when you update.

Regards,

Yes sorry. Here is the site: http://lovinglifethroughbalance.com/ and here is what a post looks like: http://lovinglifethroughbalance.com/awesome-spicy-turkey-chili/

I would either like to find a way to make the post page show the thumbnail in full width like the full width page, or get the thumb nail taken off so I can upload pics using the "camera" icon without it effecting the accordion or thumbnails on the home page.

OK. That did not work. If I do as you suggested the first time and just insert the image with the little camera... then how do I get rid of the mini preview image from the post? I'd still like it to show up on the accordion slider and preview on small previews on the home page. How can I get rid of the preview image on the post page without getting rid of them on the front page?

Hello,

Open functions.php then find this code.

$k_option['custom']['imgSize']['base'] = array('width'=>267, 'height'=>180); // backend preview size, if changed does not affect the frontend
$k_option['custom']['imgSize']['S'] = array('width'=>60, 'height'=>60); // small preview pics for half sized posts and sidebar news
$k_option['custom']['imgSize']['M'] = array('width'=>180, 'height'=>180); // big preview pic for full sized posts
$k_option['custom']['imgSize']['L'] = array('width'=>700, 'height'=>320); // image for accordion and featured news slider
$k_option['custom']['imgSize']['XL'] = array('width'=>960, 'height'=>320); // big images for fullsize pages and fade slider

You can change the values there. You need to regenerate the thumbnails.

Hi,

I got how to do that part but if I do that then I have 2 pictures in my post. The little featured image and the image I uploaded through the "camera icon". I would like to know how I can change the code so my picture for my post ends up like the way a "full width page" picture looks like. Where do I have to go to change the default post picture size? I would like it to post bigger like 300x600px instead of like a thumbnail. If you see my post here: http://lovinglifethroughbalance.com/palacsinta-healthier-crepes/ you will see that my post would look better with a full width image. Thanks.
