Hi,

Or you can try adding this css to the bottom of your /css/custom.css OR to Quick CSS located in Flashlight > Theme Options > Styling

#top #socket {
top: -55px;
}
#top .textwidget p {
margin-bottom: 3em;
}

Hi,

1. What I mean is after removing the 'left: 50px' from the sidebar when I use a laptop and scroll all the way down I don't get to see the copyright part of the sidebar (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7btbRiQph9WbnNzZkdxNU9Oblk/edit?usp=sharing) but when I use a bigger screen I can see that part (https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7btbRiQph9WckVIcVJ4Zl95a3M/edit?usp=sharing). What should I change to be able to scroll down including the copyright part?

3. The watermark plugin does it on the fly, I'm working with the author support to resolve the issue. Also I will look your suggestions.

Thanks,

Hi,

1. I use a laptop and what I see is http://www.clipular.com/c?5482215=-SCG6_Od69x4FWx3uwOA_goqfpQ&f=.png Please explain further with an image to illustrate what you are asking.

3. If the watermark plugin is slowing things down, it sounds as if one of two things are taking place

a) it adds the watermark on the fly, when page loads. Its a premium plugin, so you should ask the author.
b) it adds the watermark and saves the image + watermark without optimizing the image. So a 150k optimized image can bloat into a 500k image. If that is the case, then you need to compare image sizes of how image size increases after watermark added to determine if this is the cause.

This guy usually makes quality stuff http://profiles.wordpress.org/mywebsiteadvisor/ and he has 3 watermarks plugins (all free) on that page. I would first talk to the dev who created your premium plugin however.

Thanks,

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your response.

1. I searched and it's not really an easy thing to do. For the moment do you know how can I prevent the Copyright section on the sidebar to be overlaid by the controls? I remove the left: 50px of the sidebar to align it to left.

2. Thanks for your suggestion, it worked like a charm.

3. I will continue to address this issue, the thing is the client wants to have some images watermarked to prevent misuse, because they want to sell them. And at least prevent regular users to use the images without buying.

Thanks in advance.
Alejandro.

Hi,

1. This theme itself is not responsive so to make the sidebar responsive would require a serious effort. I think some in the past wanted to do it but I don't recall if they ever succeeded , but I haven't seen Flashlight being fully Responsive (primarily because of that sidebar I suspect). You can try searching via google, limiting search to kriesi.at domain for responsive Flashlight to see if any of the websites managed to do it.

2. I would use this plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-types-order/ to order the cpt in any order you want. It non intrusive and quickly lets you control the sort order.

3. I think watermarks are a waste of time just as are plugins that prevent right click of mouse button. Besides messing up a nice photo that someone could place on pinterest, that could go viral and give tons of business, you will just annoy potential clients while doing very little in someone interested in your image (anyone who knows photoshop can remove most watermarks, unless its really huge. The one you are using I can take off in 20 mins. I am sorry, I don't know of any.

Thanks,

Hi,

I have a couple of questions and want to know if you can help me:

Notes: I'm using a flashlight child theme

1. Responsive sidebar: I want to have the complete left sidebar on every screen so the visitor doesn't have to scroll down to see all. Can you tell me which classes in CSS should I change to accomplish this?
2. I want to have the portfolio page http://www.wp.vasquezvillegasfotografia.com/portafolio/ in ASC order, I've tried other topic answer but it did't work. What i did was to include this code in my child theme functions.php file:

//Order portfolio in ASC order
function loop_portfolio_query( $location )
{
	if ( $location == 'loop-portfolio' )
	{
 global $avia_config;
 if(isset($avia_config['new_query'])) {
 $avia_config['new_query']['orderby'] = "title";
 $avia_config['new_query']['order'] = "ASC";
 query_posts($avia_config['new_query']);
 }
	}
}

add_action( 'avia_action_query_check' , 'loop_portfolio_query', 10, 1 );

3. I'm using a plugin for watermarks http://codecanyon.net/item/premium-watermark-for-wordpress-plugin/1779630 but when is active the images from the slideshow need a lot of time to get loaded. Do you have any idea why is this happening? do you recommend another plugin for watermarks? I'm also working with the plugin author to solve the issues.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Alejandro.

Another question about the page portfolio, build with template-builder...

After creating a page portfolio through template builder, if I click on project to view the page in front end, it is loaded on the same page. Although I have set the display of the project in a new page, from angular theme options menu, under "portfolio".

Why does this happen? Thanks, M

Hi Mya,
unfortunately I am planning on site locally so I can not show anything online. Anyway, I tried the way suggested by ismasans, and confirm what he said. By setting up an "portfolio" using the template builder, projects have now returned to be displayed in date order.

I hope it can be helpful in some way ..

I have noticed differences between the portfolio using the Templete Builder and the Portfolion in Theme Options.

With Template Buider there order is by date.
But If you set a page in Theme Options to use it as Portfolio, that page show items by alphabetical order.

Hi Marxian,

As far as I know, Angular sorts the portfolio items by publication date, not alphabetically. Can you give us a link to your site so we can try and troubleshoot for you?

As far as your second question, go to Appearance > Menus and you can drag/drop the menu items in the order you want.

A few days ago, I asked how to reorder the portfolio into alphabetical order and your response worked! Thanks for the that :) On my site I have a portfolio within a portfolio. The solution reordered both portfolios as it should have. My questions is, is there a way to reorder the first layer of portfolios in a specific order? Maybe its not a code issue this time but is there a way to trick it into ordering it the way I'm looking for?

I'm looking to have it be Refrigerated Foods first, then fresh produce, then canned and frozen foods, and lastly specialty foods. Please let me know if you need to log into my site. Thanks again!
