Hi!

In this case open up wp-content\themes\incarnation\config-events-calendar\config.php and delete following line:

require_once( 'the-events-calendar/the-events-calendar.php' );

Afterwards you should be able to install "Events Calendar" and "Events Calendar Pro"

Regards,
Peter

I tried installing the free core plugin using the WordPress installer and I received the error message "Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Fatal error: Cannot redeclare presstrends_plugin_tribe_events_calendar() (previously declared in /home/cohokc/public_html/wp-content/themes/incarnation/config-events-calendar/the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-presstrends.php:6) in /home/cohokc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/tribe-presstrends.php on line 59"

Then I tried to install the Events Calendar Pro plugin using the WordPress installer and I received the error message "To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar."

It's an add-on: http://tri.be/shop/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/ . Just upload the events-calendar-pro folder into the wp-content/plugins folder or use the WordPress installer (Plugins > Add New) to install it. You also need to install/activate the free core plugin ( http://tri.be/wordpress-events-calendar/ ).

I have purchased the Events Calendar Pro from tri.be. I have tried replacing the files from Events Calendar Pro in the folder /themes/incarnation/config-events-calendar/the-events-calendar, but this did not work. What is the proper way to upgrade the Events Calendar to Events Calendar Pro on the Incarnation theme?

I contacted the tri.be support staff (Rob, the head of support answered my mail) and they're very interested in a good collaboration. Rob issued Kriesi and me a license and if something goes wrong (styling, configuration, etc.) we are able to help you. We can also contact Rob if we need some changes to the plugin code, etc. and the integration of Events Calendar/Pro into our themes shouldn't be a problem.

I hope this wasn't forgotten.

I did read the description and saw it's fully compatible, but just wanted to see if there was anything that needed to be done outside of just purchasing, uploading, and activating.

Personally I don't have the pro version of the plugin. However based on the item description here: http://themeforest.net/item/incarnation-church-and-community-theme/3278228 I think the theme is compatible with the pro version out of the box. I'll mark the thread for Kriesi and ask him if he can shed some light on this topic.

If I purchase a pro version of the event calendar plugin, are there any particular steps I need to take in order to update my theme with it? If so, what would those be?

Sadly not. It's still not possible to use the Pro version without some custom work. The (newer) theme Brightbox does support the Pro version because it's based on Cu3er 1.x but Display uses the old and free version 0.9.3 which uses a complete different xml structure, etc.

I know based on this thread:
http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/cuber-logo

It was not possible to replace the free CU3ER that comes with the display theme with a paid CU3ER Pro slider.

Has that changed?
Are there any plans to update the theme to allow this?
Or ar there any procedures I could follow to replace the free CU3ER in display with the Pro?

Thanks so much,

Matt
