No, unfortunately this is not easily possible. Like Devin pointed out above the plugin doesn't "reserve" items which are already in the cart. Thus everyone can add it to the cart as long as it's not part of an order. If someone buys the last item (and the checkout process is finished) the stock managment will reduce the stock items to 0 and wc will mark the item as "sold out".

After the item is in the cart, it happens on all the catalog pages.

Is there a way to check if the item is already in the cart before adding it again?

Hey mmessick,

Do you have an example we can take a look at live?

I'll tag the topic for Kriesi but it sounds like there might need to be a bit of a template fix for the issue in your Figure 2. The main issue however is, I believe, a limitation of how the plugin registers out of stock vs ajax updating of the cart. So when the item is added to the cart it takes an actual page refresh for the rest of the pages content to update to what is in the database for that product.

Regards,

Devin

If back-orders are turned off and a customer adds the last item in stock for that product in the cart, the product still appears to be "in stock". If the page is refreshed and the product is added to cart again (Figure 1), it automatically opens to the product details page with this message at the top (Figure 2), and all the divs are in disorder.

Thanks for looking into it. I cleared cache, tried 2 different browsers and it did not work. So, I ended up re-uploading abundance.

The slideshow and the product image display fine for me (the slideshow on the frontpage just display a "comming soon" image but I could only find one image in the source code. The product image hover efffect, lightbox, etc. seems to work flawlessly too. Please try to clear the browser cache - maybe some leftovers cause the issue.

I changed the icon size in the media settings and now the image on the home page is not loading. Slide show in the galleries is not working instead I just get enlarged single image when I click on icon. In products section nothing happens when I click on product Icons.
I change back the icon size in the media settings and it did not make any difference.
Help!

Hey,
I'm not aware of plugins or WP settings which make it possible to display single custom post type entries on the frontpage. You'll need to create a custom template (index.php or frontpage.php) with a custom query, etc. to display the post. Some interesting tips can be found here: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/18013/how-do-you-use-a-cpt-as-the-default-home-page and here: http://www.golen.net/blog/wordpress-custom-post-type-as-static-home-page/

My site is a 1 product cart. So I'd like to have the product detail as the home page.

I can't seem to figure out how to get a product detail post (http://makinggoodbook.com/order/product/preorder/) to be treated as a Page. It's defined as a product, and therefor is excluded from all admin UI navigation settings.

I would be overjoyed if I could use the product details (image, description, cart button, etc. as seen in the link above) in a template via Template Builder, but that too is just 1 level too high. I.e. I can create a template to display columns of other products, but not a single product one level deeper to the detail page.

Can you please explain what files I should alter? Is it something I can accomplish with taxonomy? Can I simply add the product ID to one of Propulsion's loops?

Thanks!
