Hi smallG,

If each time you are download the theme files from themeforest it shows version 1.6 instead of 1.9 or higher you will need to contact Themeforest and see if there an issue specific to your account.

You can also try downloading only the wordpress files option and check the style.css file in that folder to see the version number it shows there.

2) Since you are still using an old version of the theme, you don't have the latest bug fixes. See this thread for the ones you can add manually before updating. However just updating is your best option.

3) As far as I know there is no option for this available. You would need to customize the theme files if it was a must-have feature. Otherwise I can tag the topic as a feature request for a later update.

4) You can add multiple product elements in the template builder to your dynamic template. They should work without any issues.

Regards,

Hello!
I’ve started learning/using WordPress recently. I like your theme and using for my website. Though I’m stuck with some concerns on managing the pages and content display. I’ve read through most of the post to clear my concerns and tried on where I failed to. So here are my queries.
Queries:
1.	How do I upgrade the theme files? I’ve 1.6 Version. I went to my themeforest account and downloaded theme file. Uploaded the files to server, but still the version shows as V1.6.
2.	My site (http://www.0les.com ). I set the frontpage with dynamic template. After adding products, the slider on frontpage/homepage give page numbers with a textbox for sorting. I wish not to see them.
3.	The slider shows random order of products on frontpage. How can I set the latest added products (descending order)? Similarly in my product page how do I change the display order?
4.	Is it possible to get two sliders in homepage?

Regards.

The only pages that will get the woocommerce sorting function are those generated by woo commerce. So the main shop page and then any overview page generated by it.

I apologize if I was unclear but I meant you can use the template builder to create a page layout with its own settings and view and using the elements Sorting Option to choose how its output without any other user control. As of now, the theme doesn't have a way to display one

Hi PearlsIntl,

No, I don't believe there is. The shortcode product output is independent of any setting on the page.

What you might want to try is creating a template with the template builder that uses the layout you want and for the products use the product element. Then try and set it the way you want it.

Regards,

I gave it a shot but I had a couple of issues with the result.

What I'm trying to do is have this (social media and search bar at the top, big splashy image and writing):
http://www.pearlsinternational.com/search-pearls-color/black-gunmetal-gray-pearls/

but immediately below it, instead of using the shortcode to include category items, I want to have an ADDITIONAL bar with sort box, followed by category items like this:
http://www.pearlsinternational.com/product-category/search_by_color/black_and_gunmetal/

So basically, a standard category page with a nice heading above it and search/social media at the very top.

When I inserted the heading into the description area on the category page, it looked lovely, except that the sort box popped up in the middle of the big image in the heading, and there was no social media/search bar.

Please let me know if there's a way to add the sort box (linked to that category's short code) to the content of the page itself.

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it!

On the same note, I am using short codes to insert individual categories on their own pages. I have the Woocommerce sorting method set to default, and on the general shop page, everything is working smoothly and according to the orders I have defined.

The problem is that on the page where I am using the short code to display the category, the items are still being sorted by the most recent. Any assigned rankings don't appear to be universal. Another issue is that no sort box is showing on these pages. This makes it very hard for customers to navigate the page and find what they are looking for. Example: http://www.pearlsinternational.com/search-pearls-color/white-ivory-pearls/

Is there a way to edit and add content to the category pages themselves, or am I stuck using short codes that won't behave?

TIA for your help!

Did you select "Default sorting" on the admin page (WooCommerce > Settings > Catalog)? Otherwise WC will not use your custom order but will sort the products alphabetically, etc.

Hi there - loving the Abundance theme - nice work.

On the 'All Products' page there is a sorting function on the top right - currently it has the following options
Sort by
- default
- alphabetical
- price
- recent

My shop is a distributers catalogue so has not pricing - is there a way to remove the 'price' option? I'm comfortable customising plug ins and theme files.

Thanks

1) Add following code to css/custom.css:

.sidebar.sidebar_absolute {
    left: 50px;
    position: fixed;
}

Hi
I am having the same problem as the user above. With Flashlight theme

I have 2 questions:

1. My sidebar on the left is scrolling up and down when scrolling the content, I would like it to stay stationary so links are always accessible.

2. Also when viewing the website on a mobile browser like Atomic for iphone which emulates a full size browser the sidebar moves over the content so content cannot be seen, is there a way to allow it to move sideways with the content? just be aware I have a mobile version of the site, so dont view it on mobile safari or android browser when trying to see what I mean.

Here is my web adress: http://holstphoto.com

Hi herzfamily,

I'll just answer 2 and 3 since the others don't require answers :)

2) Make sure the Shop page is the correct one identified through your WooCommerce options as the Shop. Also check to see if its using a dynamic Template instead of the basic Use Default setting, as that could cause a conflict.

3) The gravity forms Extension might do this for you, but again I don't have a way to add this in or instruct you on how to add in the agreement checkbox feature.

Hi Devin,

Thanks for your reply. I guess I wasn't clear on my previous post.
Here are some clarifications:

1) I would appreciate if you could put in feature request.
2) I was talking about actual Shop page (not single product page) were it displays only products. When I try to type in some texts on Page Edit, it doesn't display texts on the Shop page.
3) Looked everywhere before I posted.
4) Yes, I wasn't aware of that. BC, these pages where automatically created upon woo activation from your theme.

Hello herzfamily,

I'm not quite sure what you mean by the side menu being fixed and sometimes working sometimes not. The site has a maintenance window up so I can't actually take a look.

Let me see how much of the Woo Commerce stuff I can answer:

1) Unfortunately its not available with the theme right now. But I can send it in as a feature request for a later date.
2) Another one that will have to be a feature request. I believe Abundance has some support for additional text input on the product display, but Flashlight was designed with a more gallery style layout in mind when Kriesi incorporated WooCommerce into it.
3) I'm pretty sure there is an extension available to add something like this. They update so often now that its hard to keep track, but look through their extensions and see if something fits what you have in mind.
4) You can specify and modify the Thank you page under the WooCommerce Pages tab. I'm not sure what you would need to do for a secondary redirect though. If you are offering a download or something, it would

Hi Chris,

It is http://www.domavar.com, I figured out the secondary menu - if you select shop menu as a secondary menu - i doesn't center, it moves to the left. So I deselected it from menus.

The main side menu scrolling got fixed (I had to disable woo and re-upload the plugin) - but, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Annoying me a bit. Is there a solid solution?

Another thing, I contacted Woocommerce support for help on product sorting on the shop page, they responded you guys are responsible for support. Frankly, their support system is the worst thing I ever experienced in my life. I needed help on:

1. Product sorting (by date) - not alphabetically.
2. Insert text content before products on Product Page. If I type anything it goes as subtitle.
3. Add DSA (Design Service Agreement) link and check box (required) - Just like they have as Terms & Conditions before u click place order.
4. Thank You (Order Received) page customization and redirect to a member page (content restricted).

Hi there, I installed your Flashlight and as I'm building my site I came across few issues:

1. Secondary Shop Menu in Product page in not centered on the page.
2. Sidebar is scrolling with main content area - need to have it stationary (using no sidebar page all)
