Hi!

Hi,
no as far as I know this is not possible out of the box. However maybe a plugin like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/profile-builder/ will do what you want.

Regards,

hello!. Right now in order to register, the visitor needs to input their email, and a password. What i would like is to add on to it is Phone number and address. I know you can input the address after registering, however i would like the address and phone number to be mandatory in the beginning. Is this possible? If so, please help. Thank you.!!

Hi

I followed the step in this thread: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/register-opens-the-wordpress-registration-screen#post-75492

& replaced the url with my own, cleared the cache in safari and firefox and it is still directing to wordpress login.

Please can anyone check if it is doing the same for them?

...well, it keeps deleting the important part when I post it (I do not know why), so basically go to that code and replace the url 'register' with 'account overview'. I hope this is helpful. Sorry for any confusion my post may have caused.

... perhaps Dude could clean this up by deleting my posts. thx :)

I think I found a solution that is very similar to Rick's suggestion...
I made the "Register" link go to the "My Account" page for unregistered visitors by making the following change to the code in abudance\config-woocommerce\config.php:

REPLACE the following:

if(get_option('users_can_register'))
{
$output .= "<li class='register_link'>".__('Register', 'avia_framework')."";
}

WITH the following:

if(get_option('users_can_register'))
{
$output .= "<li class='register_link'>".__('Register', 'avia_framework')."";
}

It seems to work ok.

I am having the same issue that Rick mentioned above ("Currently a non-registered user that clicks on the Reigster in the subnav is redirected to the standard WP create an account page. Is there a way for the Register link to link to the WC my account page?").

I tried replacing the code he mentioned in abudance\config-woocommerce\config.php, but it did not work. (It just seemed to break the "Register" hyperlink on my home page.)

Do you have another solution? (Note: the "My Account" link does go to a page that offers an unregistered visitor to Login or Register." - Can the Register link be directed to this page to possibly fix the problem?

Thanks,
Tim

The login form template is part of the woocommerce plugin and wp doesn't offer such a template by default. However you can try to use plugins like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-wp-login-widget/ which allow you to insert a login form by using a shortcode.

I figured it out - for those looking to do this...

Open up abudance\config-woocommerce\config.php and find the following code:

if(get_option('users_can_register'))
 {
 $output .= "<li class='register_link'><a>".__('Register', 'avia_framework')."</a>";
 }

Replace with:

if(get_option('users_can_register'))
 {
 $output .= "<li class='register_link'><a>".__('Register', 'avia_framework')."</a>";

Sorry, I don't think I was very clear...

What I was meaning is that when a new user is trying to register, and he attempts to register a username that already exists, it doesn't give him a warning or error message saying something like, "that user name is already taken." It just redirects back to the register page and doesn't say what happened, so the user can't really tell that his registration was cancelled.

If a new user tries to register with an existing username, it should pop up a warning or error message saying that the username is already being used.

Hey,
if the user enters invalid data WooCommerce will output warnings (like "invalid username", "invalid email", "invalid postcode", etc.). Otherwise WooCommerce will just redirect the user to the "Order received" page. As far as I know there's no option for an "account created" message.

When trying to create some dummy accounts for my abundance theme website, I tested what would happen if a user entered an existing username or an email already associated with an account. What happened was nothing. It does not create the account, but the screen just re-freshens and clears the registering fields. This is somewhat confusing to a customer because there are no prompts that tells them that the username or email already exists or whether or not their account was created.

Is this a woocommerce bug or a theme bug?

No - when I click on it WP sends me to the register page (you can see it on the blue button which says "Register").
