Hi Devin, I have just tried a "clean" install and the problem seems to have been solved that way! I'm still not sure what casued it in the first place as I had not altered any of the code/templates. Thank you very much everybody for your support. Well appreciated.

The only other thing I can think of is that your theme files may need to be re-loaded onto the server. If you have not done any customization to the core files you can just re-upload on top of the theme. Just make sure to save the custom.css file so you can re-load any of your own css again after.

Hi Devin, thank you for your idea, I have tried what you suggested, but to no avail. All plugins bar the woocommerce disabled and still have the same problem. Do you think it could have something to do with the image/size?

I have however tried using the woocommerce native tab code and that is working fine, so might consider using that instead, however it does not look quite the same... :(

Let me know if you have any other suggestions and I will keep trying other solutions as well.

Hi Dennes,

I just tried to replicate the issue but didn't have any problems. It might be a conflict with one of your plugins and the javascript that handles the tabbed content. Try disabling any plugins you have running besides woo commerce and then testing the page again.

Regards,

Hi Mya,

I know about the extra
tag, but it is not in the html of the product page - so must be added by the template?
I have copied and pasted the same shortcode into a "normal" page and it works fine, no problems at all and the tabs all stay at the same level. I also notcie that the div container height seems to vary and change as you go through the tabs.

I am really stuck as to what is casuing this, any other ideas?
Thanks for your suggestion though

Hi Dennes,

Looking at your source code, I see there area extra
<br>
in the shortcode which I believe is contributing to the problem. If you will look through the shortcode and delete any extra spacing you have. You may find it necessary to switch to HTML view in order to do this.

If this doesn't work let us know.

Regards,

Thank you for getting back, you can see what goes wrong on this page: http://www.tabithajk.co.uk/product/m-d-c-2/
I've put a few extre tabs in , so you can see the consitancy in the problem, it starts happening from the third tab onwards.

Thank you fo ryour time, love the theme, but would like to be able to use the tabbed content on the product page.
Looking forward to your solution

I was wondering if anyboy else has noticed that if oyu use tabbed content in a product page, from the third tab onwards, the content box gets pushed further and further down. It does not happen anywhere else in the site, only when you use tabs in product pages.

This problem should be fixed in the latest version of Brightbox. The includes/helper-templates.php file is missing the $more variable declaration and a $more = 0; in the blog function.

If you're using version 1.1 or below you can update to version 1.2.1 or replace following code in includes/helper-templates.php:

function blog($element)
	{
		extract($element['saved_value'][0]);

		global $avia_config;

with:

function blog($element)
	{
		extract($element['saved_value'][0]);

		global $avia_config, $more;

And replace:

		echo "<div class='template-blog content'>";
get_template_part('includes/loop','index');

with this:

    echo "<div class='template-blog content'>";
$more = 0;
get_template_part( 'includes/loop', 'index' );

Thanks for the link. I reviewed this page before I submitted this request. I've given my posts the appropriate <!--more--> marker, and the excerpt function works fine when the page is a standard blog template. However, when it uses the dynamic template builder "Blog" section, it ignores the <!--more--> tag.

First off, just wanted to say great theme. The back-end is structured very well.

I'm currently trying to set up a home page with the template builder, and I would like to include a blog section, but it by default shows the entire post from a category, instead of the excerpt. Is there any way to change this?

To make child pages in WP 3.0 Menu options, it's a simple drag and drop feature. Thanks dudes!

Greetings All~

I must refer to the top question in this thread:

I installed the dummy data and there is no text below the home page nav links such as 'starting the journey' underneath 'home' nav link on your demo. How to correct this?</bloackquote>

@James Morrison said:

Regarding the "Starting the journey" etc text; this is something you need to set in the Menu Manager (Appearance -> Menus) and set the text you want to display as the Description for each link.

If you'd like to display the theme as per the demo, I'd suggest removing all pages / posts / other content and re run the content importer in the Theme Options.

@jamesmorrison I understand what you're saying about setting the Menu options, but how do I get child pages to show under parent pages using the WP Menu option?

Great theme, and I finally found the right one to use for my business. Thanks.

You're not crazy mate, I understand that this is a very weird and annoying issue!

Possible fixes are:

1.) Make sure you're using the latest version of Firefox. Download and reinstall if necessary.

2.) Disable all your add ons. If something is causing the problem from here it would explain why I can't reproduce it.

Alright, thanks for looking into it. As long as you've seen the video I posted and don't think I'm crazy, I guess that's a consolation!

I've since spoken with a friend who is a programmer and he's seen these 'refresh bugs' before.

I won't attempt to re-explain what he told me but it was something like "...as the page is being rendered something is being cached only sometimes and hitting refresh isn't really refreshing the whole page...or the speed at which the page loads is sometimes completing one script too soon or too late causing a display bug."

I don't know...it's just frustrating...not trying to wish anyone ill but I hope someone else has this problem ;)

I honestly cant imagine that the server settings might cause the issue. I can only guess at this point but since its working fine with most Firefox versions I asume that it maybe is a subversion that has a problem with the rendering, or more likely maybe a plugin like addblock that for a strange reason changes the html output.

Unfortunatley I think we are at a dead end here, since neither me nor my support team were able to reproduce the bug we will need to wait for more people who got the same problem...

Well...

Avisio works just fine on another host provider I use. So, I assume the next step is to identify the conflict between Avisio and certain php settings?

You can see my php info on the site that is affected here: http://columbusohiowebdesigns.com/test.php

You can see the site that is unaffected here and it's php info: http://billguerin.com/test.php

The thing is...columbusohiowebdesigns.com is hosted at hostgator. I know that hostgator is ranked very well for their ease of use and support of wordpress. None of my other installtions or themes exhibit any problems with hostgator.

Is it possible that your theme calls some outdated function that isn't friendly with the latest/greatest php versions? The site that is working (www.billguerin.com) has older version of php

Hi Kriesi,

Well, I almost just gave up on the theme...I went ahead and put it back up to http://columbusohiowebdesigns.com/

I'll put the video back up here as well: http://columbusohiowebdesigns.com/strangebug.avi

This is my 4th theme from themesforest so far. I've bought dilapidated, unite, infocus, and avisio. I consider yours one of the best. But yours is the only one I've had any "visual anomalies" with. I've reloaded on 3 domains so far, and redownloaded avisio from themesforest and wordpress itself. There's some difference between the demo and the downloadable theme. Some difference that affects only some firefox users apparently. I've gone to browsershots and things look fine there as well.

I could load it on a domain at a different host but I don't see how that could possibly affect anything.

I'm going to take a leap of faith and go ahead and start using this theme and porting over the content from another site in hopes that you, we, the community at large might figure this out...thanks.

Hey!

Something must have gone wrong, I cant access the link adress. What could possibly have happened is that one of the files got somehow corrupted upon downloading/unpacking. you might want to try to download the zip file again from themeforest, unpack it and upload it to your webserver via ftp.

I agree there is not much one can do wrong doing those steps, thats why I am especially curious about your case :)
Would be glad if you drop us a notice here when http://www.columbuswebdesign.info/ is running again so I can take another look myself :)

Best regards
Kriesi

I just did a fresh install of wordpress and avisio on a different domain. I did not load any extra anything. I did not load the demo data. I simply installed wordpress and enabled the avisio theme. It's exhibiting the same problem at http://www.columbuswebdesign.info. (I'm aware of the licensing agreement, I only put it on this domain temporarily as an example).

I appreciate you taking the time to look with your browser.

Obviously I came to the same conclusion as you since this doesn't happen on the demo site.

But this ain't my first rodeo, installing wordpress and uploading a theme is darn simple...exactly where would I have had to go wrong to create something silly like that? Upload wordpress, upload theme, choose theme...pretty easy.

Just for kicks, I'm reinstalling on another domain now...

I went to your site with FF and cannot duplicate this. I also have this theme on 2 test sites and can not duplicate it. You must have a localized problem; either with the install or your workstations. If this doesnt happen to you on the demo themeforest site; that would narrow it down to your server install.

Tested on Firefox ver 3.6.8, 3.6.7, and 3.5.11. Happens on all. 3 different computers. Did you download the video?

I also created a new windows profile and new firefox profile, no plugins installed whatsoever, same deal. What now? I certainly cannot show this to a client :(
