thanks, just seen your post, Kriesi.

I figured it out yesterday ... this phenomenon was caused by the most annoying plugin ever :-(, by WPML multilanguage plugin.

When it's activated, then these strange paths are shown in CORONA:

http://i42.tinypic.com/2vkhqth.jpg

When I deactivate it, all is ok.

The WPML plugin for example causes, that CORONA don't work with domainmapping, too :-(
I've posted this issue in the WPML forum, too, but they are very unhelpfully there and answer always, that it works at their servers ... how nice for them :-(

Chris Beard,

Can i Just point out that my 'nightmare' is a long way from being over. I still have a number of questions that have been left unanswered for 2 weeks if you check the forum! Yes, I received a response to one or two of my recent posts but please dont consider this settled as its not.

You will appreciate our concerns and frustrations as the support here is usually spot on.

When Kriesi was dealing with the support requests for the Display theme I used a few years ago it was brilliant. Always speedy, amazingly friendly and professional and none of the attitude that seems to be getting banded around now.

I'm not trying to be difficult here, I just find it rich when I see a comment like yours posted recently and I still have numerous questions left without so much as an acknowledgement.

I hope you find the time to look over them soon.

Thanks,

i added the link this is one of the emails i sent below.....
at this time i ended yup getting a different theme because i was not getting any help.
I was even asking about a refund because i have waited at least 2 weeks or a response to 1 of my questions and of course still no response.

email previously sent to kriesi
Honest since the the codes i have been using from your support forum haven't been working I am not happy with the theme 100%. Maybe the theme for what i need is not this one; but since o bought it i have to make it work somehow. I have a clothing company and need it to work well as an e-commerce site as well.

the 2 comments i can think of know are:

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/portfolio-images-and-search-result-layout

and

http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/2-things-blog-page-and-featured-images

Please help. I have other questions but i need my 1st questions to be answered and see if they work to se if it's even worth using the theme. I hope it is!

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

you can always respond to your unanswered topic again if it's not responded to within 2 to 3 days to make sure it's not lost.
As you can see, we're 3 support members, a third one was hired recently because of a spike in support requests. We try our best to respond as soon as possible, mostly within 24 hours.
Might I add that brobins was helped right after he posted this and his "nightmare" is over. I'll check your topics now.

Often we get support emails from members without a link to the support topic and therefore it's lost. Could you point me to the topic you've requested email support in? I've just checked your topics and replies and I couldn't retrieve a conversation about email support. Can you also tell me where you mailed to and what the email contained?

I'll check your other topics right now.

Best regards,
Chris

Guess you already fixed all of that? Since it displays perfectly fine for me :)

Modifying the .entry-content padding in style.css might do the trick. add:

#template-portfolio-overview .entry-content {
padding: 0 1px 55px 3px;
}

That would add a one px padding to the right and a 3 px to the left of the portfolio entry content

Does anyone have the same problem? Lack of technical Support! I have tried a number of the suggested editing for visual changes and they do not all work. I have asked question in the posts and no responses yet. It's been over 2 weeks. I emailed the person who deals with the support of this theme. I was told they will work on it and still no help. I asked for a refund lets see what happens :(

I think because of the body copy of the portfolio posts are slightly indented this is causing the text to cut off. Is there a little CSS code I could add to:
a) align the body copy of the portfolio posts with the title
b) remove the right hand sidebar

Many thanks

Ok, I have tried safemode and it was still crashing but instead of disabling the addons by removing them, I ended up without crashes, so to nail down which one was the problem I have tried one by one, finally I have been able to localize the issue, it has to do with an addon we all use here DownloadHelper this is the addon link: http://download.cnet.com/Firefox-Video-Download-Helper/3000-11745_4-75317206.html?tag=rb_content;main;dropDownForm

As soon we remove it the theme does not crash anymore.

So I think this solves the issue. Thanx for your support again Kriesi.

Hey!

while you are in the post loop you dont have to pass the id of the post, the function will automatically get the correct id.

Or do you want to show a single meta field, for example only "Project URL"?
if that the case you would need to edit the avia_portfolio_meta function in functions.php to make it read:

http://pastie.org/3396428

you could then show single portfolio metas like this:

avia_portfolio_meta(false, "Project URL");

Another question concerning the crashes: are you running any plugins in firefox? could you try starting firefox up in plugin free mode and see if its still happening?

Cheers
Kriesi

Hey! Thanx Kriesi, I wanted to have a look to it in depth and see if I could find out what was causing the problem, but I´ve moved to another area, actually do you know how can I know the ids for the first or last metabox? I´m trying to place one metabox after the content, and I can see you are calling the metas with 'echo $meta' which I see is 'avia_portfolio_meta($id)' so I´m assuming calling a single $id could do the trick to place it after 'the_content', but I can´t find the way to know which values are the $id.

As per the crashes, I´ve been trying and I still getting a nasty crash on firefox as soon I remove the top frame on themeforest when looking your live demo.

Thank you very much for your time anyway. :)

Very quick one, in Broadscope Portfolio, I want to remove the date, comments closed circles and the comments closed from the footer. I tried
}

in the custom CSS, which works but the title of the portfolio is not left aligned with the portfolio text. Is there a quick way to solve this?

thanks

Any chance of having a look to this? Firefox released over the weekend an update to 10.0.1, but I can still reproduce the crash like seen in the video.
Thanx.

Hi, and thanx for having a look to this. I´ve tried to upload to screenr, but seems to get stucked trying to get uploaded, on the meantime I´ve used screencast-o-matic on a second machine, also using firefox 10 with win 7 x64. You can see the crash, very straight forward, you only need to disable your top frame to see the site without it and then crashes. I will share the first screencast once uploaded, for some reason it takes a lot to get uploaded.

http://www.screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cln6ot4HX

hey!

I am still trying but I cant get the portfolio or the frontpage to crash. Would you mind telling me exactly what you do?

Or even better: start http://www.screenr.com/ capture and show me. If I can re-do your steps I can maybe reproduce the error

I narrow the problem, it is coming from a file inside the "js folder", as soon I´ve replaced that folder with the old version (1.0.1) the crash is gone.

I´ve just deleted the entire wordpress installation with the theme and install everything from scratch, and keeps crashing, yours too (sorry but I can not try in more machines here, I´m at home now) but tomorrow at the office I will try on different machines (like I did this afternoon) and I will let you know. This afternoon I tried mine in 3 pcs in all of them (with Firefox 10) the portfolio was very slow and buggy and after a while was crashing the browser. This is just my experience, it could be a conflict with firebug or web developer plugins I´ve got in some machines, but I´ve tried on versions of Firefox without it and was as bad as with them, I´m using other themes from other people right now and this problem only happens with this one. It may be bad luck who knows, but again, I´m just explaining my experience with it.
