I checked the plugin page: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-customer-reviews/ and it seems like the plugin doesn't offer a developer api (or php functions) which allows us to implement the review code into the portfolio templates. Please check the plugin options page - maybe the plugin author uses hooks to display the review content and you just need to configure the right location. If not I'd contact the author and ask him how you can add the review data to a wordpress page template.

Hi Devin,

Thanks for your reply. I have downloaded the following plugin: WP Customer Reviews. What is the exact code that I have to include in the single-portfolio.php file to have the reviews appear on the portfolio pages?

Thanks.

Hi Mark,

You'll need to add the php hooks for those items to the single-portfolio.php file after the portfolio single loop is called but before the related posts.

Hi,

As part of the portfolio I am describing companies. Now I would like to make it possible for visitors to leave a review underneath each portfolio, including star rating system. There are many plugins within WP who offer customer reviews, but how can I implement this within the code so that it is included automatically with each portfolio entry?

Thanks!

thanks Nick that worked perfectly! Although I ended up unchecking the 'Do not output before/after_widget/title' box because I liked the box to only surround the wedding widget, not the other widgets as well. Ended up looking like this
http://www.DancinShoesDJ.com
Thanks a lot for the detailed and timely help! This forum is invaluable for the DIYers like myself, so thanks again.

Hi,

Ok. This is what needs to get done.

1) Go to your backend and click Plugins, then Add New.

2) In the search box in middle of the Add New page, type 'Enhanced Text Widget' without the quotes. and hit search plugins button

3) The first search result will be the Enhanced Text Widget, .. click the link Install Now., click ok on the popup, (then wait for it to tell you it's installed) And then click Activate Widget

4) Now go to Plugins > Installed Plugins, and make sure you see the Enhanced Text Widget there listed, and its activated. (it's title would be in a bold font style)

5) Now in the admin side menu, click Appearance > widgets

6) Open up a widget area/sidebar on the right side where you wanna drop the new widget, and find the new widget on the left-middle side
.
7) drag the Enhanced Text Widget to the widget area/sidebar and drop it in there.

8) for now don't add a title, don't add a link, and you can type in the next box asking for a class 'MyWeddingWidget' without the quotes

9) Now take that big block of code from the wedding website and paste it into the text area.

10) check the box that says 'Do not output before/after_widget/title' and do not check the first checkbox

11) hit save. Your widget should be displayed.

This is what I have -> http://i.imgur.com/f1dgq.jpg

Unfortunately this can be a hoster limitation. WordPress embeds: http://codex.wordpress.org/Embeds require the oembed protocol which will only work if your hoster doesn't block the socket connections from the server ( http://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-get-video-to-embed-from-url ). If you can't embed the videos at all (even with the standard embed shortcode) I'd talk to the hoster and ask the them what's going on.

Hi,

I've tried this numerous different ways but can't seem to embed a youtube video into a blog post.
If I use the wordpress upload/insert method I just get a text link that opens a lightbox with the video in.
If I try an html <iframe> or [embed] method nothing appears in the blog at all.
I'd like the actual youtube video to appear in the blog post itself...

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I've got a website that will be selling products using the Propulsion theme. Instead of offering a space for user reviews of the products, I'd like to have a "Discussion" area where users can ask questions and get answers from the site's owner.

I've looked through the CSS quite a bit but I can't find where to make this change. Where can I go to make this adjustment?

Hi!

You can try to replace the entire templates folder - probably this will revert all changes regarding the tabs, etc.

Regards,
Peter

Hi Ismael,

Thanks for your answer, I've checked and the tabs located in the file are:
attributes - review - description
tab-attributes - tab-reviews - tab-description

ie: here is the php content of reviews
<?php
/**
* Reviews Tab
*/

global $woocommerce, $post;

if ( comments_open() ) : ?>
<div class="panel entry-content" id="tab-reviews">

 <?php comments_template(); ?>

	</div>
<?php endif; ?>

and the php content of tab-reviews

<?php if ( comments_open() ) : ?>
<li class="reviews_tab"><?php _e('Reviews', 'woocommerce'); ?><?php echo comments_number(' (0)', ' (1)', ' (%)'); ?>
<?php endif; ?>

do you see anything missing I should add or delete in order to get those options back?

I'd rather not install again woocommerce, for the reasons you give :)

many thanks for your help
