Hi Bendobd86,

The issue is that you have too many items in the sidebar and it causes the content to be pushed down past the point where there is scrollable content.

You can either remove some of the content or add the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

.sidebar.sidebar_absolute .inner_sidebar {
padding-bottom: 75px;
}

This will add additional padding to the sidebar so that you can continue to scroll down and see it.

The social icon plugin I have no experience with however so you would either need to find an alternative that works with the theme or inquire with the plugin author what might need to be done to integrate it without issue.

Regards,

Hi there,

we have two problems on our website http://www.frankdohle.com .

In the theme menu under "flashlight---> contact and social stuff" we put in our contact information for the RSS Feed and Facebook.
But the Social Buttons won't show up on the theme all the time. Only when you open specific pages (like the shop) you can see them. On the other hand, when those buttons show up you can't use the background slider menu, which is gone instead.

This seems to be a major issue, since I would like to have both options on my side ( slide through the backround images, and use the social buttons).

On the other hand putting no information in the contact fields ("flashlight---> contact and social stuff" ) I can still see the RSS-Feed Button ... So leaving the contact fields blank and just using a social widget is also no solution.

Also I am using "Acurax Social Icons" and there is a share function provided, which doesnt work either. (images and links wont show up).. maybe someone is using that too and has the same issues?

Anyway: help will be appreciated very much! Thanks!

Unfortunately we aren't really able to help in a situation like that. Your best route is to talk to your hosting provider as they can assess what needs to be done to make sure your site is secure.

If a url has been compromised in some way, it isn't something you should just try and circumvent as it means there is an issue that needs to be fixed.

The link was showing in my RSS feed to burner. I got a message from google that someone was sending emails from my website that were not mine.

How do I fix this?

1. Do I need to change my url as they have that address from the link to feedburner?
2. Will it be ok just to change the forwarding url?

Hi Natalie,

What makes you think your site was hacked?

If it has, you should contact your hosting provider and ask them to scan your server files and settings for any malware/links/issues. Then you can secure the domain.

Regards,

I ve created a feed for my site (http://lifecleansing.net/) at feedburner > http://feeds.feedburner.com/lifecleansing.and was working great.
However I didn't realize that the url in the feed icon was going to my
default wordpress feed url (https://lifecleansing.net/feed/) instead of the feedburner one.

As a result someone is sending from my site and it is hacked.

Do I have to remove my wordpress feed url at https://lifecleansing.net/feed/ and change this. If so how do I do it.

I have changed the rss feed at feedburner, is this enough?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm receiving this error when attempting to grab an RSS feed from another WordPress site. The feed validates - http://validator.w3.org/appc/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmetamoramartialarts.com%2Fblog%2Fauthor%2Fabockler%2Ffeed - but is for some reason not working when trying to pull it in via the RSS Latest Posts widget.

Hi,

Going in order of your questions...

1) Add this to your custom.css located in your theme's css folder or Quick CSS under Choices > Theme Options > Styling.

.side-container-date {
display: none;
}

2) Go to Settings > Discussion and uncheck "Allow people to post comments on new articles" and "Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)". Also make sure you uncheck "Allow Comments" and "Allow trackbacks and pingbacks on this page" for any existing pages and posts you have. In order to do this, you may need to click on the "Screen Options" tab in the top right of your Dashboard then click on checkbox next to "Discussion" and scroll down the page until you see the Discussion section.

3) We would have to see your website live with the larger logo in place before we could give you instructions. Once you upload your larger logo if you post a link to the site we'll take a look.

4) To my knowledge the date is not something you can remove from the RSS XML. Perhaps a plugin developer out there knows more than I do so you may want to search Google.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Hi,

I am trying to create a category specific RSS feed link for my Street Style Category. It should be as simple as http://www.styleoutlier.com/category/streetstyle/feed/ but this link redirects to an empty feed: http://www.styleoutlier.com/category/uncategorized/feed/

How can I fix this?

Also, when I put the blog archive widget in the side bar, the functionality is broken. When I clink on any of the months in archive, it just reloads the page instead of showing posts from that month.

Thanks for the help!!

Hey,
as far as I know our theme doesn't effect the standard wordpress feed output. You can customize the feed by using various hooks. A nice tutorial can be found here: http://www.problogdesign.com/wordpress/how-to-edit-the-wordpress-rss-feed/

I have the Newscast, I am placing my Blog on the Kindle. I wanted to change the way the feed appears. Currently it shows up like this:

Transformation Magazine» Good News

I need it to just show up like this:

Good News

Could you please tell me how I could change the theme so that the rss feed appears that way.

Thank you

Hey,

The RSS feed for your site (feed://www.searchyogi.com/feed/) works fine for me (note that its starts feed:// not http://).

If however, the feed is fine and Facebook is having the problem there's nothing we can do to help. Try contacting their support for assistance if it still won't work.

Hi There,
I am trying to add my blog to my company Facebook page using their notes feature which allows you to pull in an external blog through the RSS feed. My site is searchyogi.com. I gave my RSS feed as http://www.searchyogi.com/feed/ but Facebook gives me a failure message "We couldn't find a feed using the URL you provided." Am not sure what is wrong. Does my site not have a default RSS feed?
Thanks
Rajesh
