yes, the save button is obvious. But it's a bit annoying to make for instance two versions. Would be nice if they were saved to the presets. eg if I edit boxed wood preset, hit save, and then load another preset, hit save again, I lost all my previous edits. Maybe an idea for an update. I believe I noticed it already in one of the first update requests ;)

Hi Spiv,

You can change them and then hit Save all changes at the top or bottom of the theme options. Other than that, no there aren't any theme built profile saves or anything like that.

Hi,

I'm having a major issue with the style settings. Isn't it possible to save it under your own styling? It's so easily lost and no way to retrieve your previous settings.
Any advice in how to secure my settings?
Thanks

We have solved the issue of changes not being saved. Thank you for your advice.

It was, in fact, the "supercache" folder that needed to be deleted and the Supercache Plugin deactivated. So this matter can be considered resolved.

Many seem to have had this problem with supercache, which makes us wonder why it's included?

Actually, we have had several problems with the Theme after importing the Dummy Data, as have others we see. Wish we hadn't and just started building from scratch.

Is this issue solved? I'm not clear on if you are able to save now or what the root cause of the issue was?

If you are having issues the most useful thing you can possibly do is set up a test wordpress installation and use the Import dummy data option from the main theme settings. This sets up the entire site almost identical to the demo for you with just one click. You can then use that as a reference to see how everything is set up.

I can see why many would purchase the theme, the Demo is quite convincing, attractive, and offers many robust features.

But I still stick by my statement that your documentation is VERY poor. Not only that, but my staff report several problems in trying to access your instructional videos from the documentation resulting in 404 errors....????

In addition, having worked with many themes, we find yours particularly challenging in that there is no clear way indicated to actually implement the options.

And reading over your forum, I see many more questions than on most Theme Support Forums. Just my experience talking here.

One of my staff are having an additional issue which she will query. But if we don't have adequate answers and a working site by Tuesday, we are going to deinstall and purchase another theme.

This has just become too frustrating for our time, schedule and client patience.

Cheers, nonetheless.

Hey Tim,

With just over 1000 purchases of Replete and a 5 star rating I would say the theme is a doing pretty well :)

The strongest part of our documentation is here on the support forums. We answer thousands of topics each year (5k a year myself) and provide individual instruction and setup where needed.

Although the documentation isn't great it does provide a great introduction to working with the theme features. It is understandable that the grammar isn't perfect as Kriesi is a non-native English speaker. I've been correcting and fixing things as I find them but we can't please everyone :)

As for your issue, are you saying that it is resolved now or that you were able to find the issue? If one of the default themes was unable to save settings then the issue is with the server set up. If it was with a plugin conflict, it is unfortunately out of our hands since we can't make the theme work with every plugin.

Regards,

Thanks for the update, Devin. We had done all of the above as part of a successful workaround. Many others have had similar troubles with Replete and there are several places online that talk about workarounds with your software.

I must say in comment though, that although the Theme is quite elegant and robust, that there seem to be too many problems, and your documentation ranks VERY poor. It is full of incomplete instructions, contradictory advice, and in many cases bad English and poor writing.

If you were my Students, I would have sent the paper back.

But...that said...there are many rich features that we enjoy, and plan on just slogging through it.

Cheers, nonetheless,

Try disabling *all* active plugins and then completely deleting the WP Super Cache folder from your Plugins folder via FTP. If you have also ever had w3tc active, you'll need to delete that folder from your plugins folder as well.

See if that helps the issue.

You can also try switching to Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve themes and see if you can save theme options for the customer header etc with either of those.

No ecommerce on site at all. Just using your marvelous theme for eyecandy and product/service overview. Ecommerce will be implemented in Wave 3, which is some time off.

Note: 2 users on 3 platforms had the same issue. 2 MAC + 1PC using Safari, Firefox, IE9 and Chrome. All browsers showed same problem.

Note: we deactivated WP Supercache and cleared all histories thinking that might be the issue, to no avail.

No settings in theme could be saved.

Dummy copy import problem? As others had mentioned. Or is that just computer voo doo?

Are you using WooCommerce as well? Are you able to change settings in the WooCommerce settings or in other areas of Wordpress?

It could be a permissions issue or a memory issue but we'll need more information to say for sure.

When we make changes in the Dashboard using your Theme tools, we cannot seem to save changes to the live site. ?????

I saw a thread somewhere that had the same issue when "dummy copy" was populated into the site. I did the same, and seem to be having the same issue?

Fix?

Do we need to strip out and reinstall? Hope not. LOL.

Hi Brodersen,

Your site is under construction and we are unable to view it with construction protection on.

Typically, the way you edit specific items on a theme is using something like Firebug for Firefox or Chrome/Safari's Inspect Element feature. You identify the class that has the style and then you can add that class to the custom.css file in your css folder or the quick css in the styling tab of the theme settings.

Since those are added after the theme styling, it takes those values.

If you want to have exact control over all elements of the site, this is the way to go.

Example: Changing the color of the price in the shop/catalog view. I inspect the price and see that it gets its color from the css::

#top #wrap_all ins {
color: #7E9A47;
}

Adding that to your custom.css or Quick CSS and changing the hex value will change the color for all items inside the ins tag. You could also use:

#top .amount {
color: #333;
}

Since the class is .amount for that item.

If you can make your site viewable live, and can point to specific items you are having issues with we can try and help provide some additional css to modify it. If you are looking to do a lot of customization and modifications I would definitely recommend looking into a freelance developer. If you have a detailed list of everything you want changed, it should only take a developer comfortable with css a few hours to make the changes.

Regards,

Devin

It makes no sense if I'm the first person who ever had this problem. The WooCommerce style colors are awful.
Maybe I missed something?

WooCommerce got the colors Primary, Secondary, Highlight, Content and Subtext in Settings, which I can't edit (or rather I can't save them after editing).
These colors then splits down and controls a large list of css values, including some coding that controls the gradients of buttons.

Here is the CSS for what the WooCommerce 'Primary' color controls:

a.button.alt, button.button.alt, input.button.alt, #respond input#submit.alt, #content input.button.alt {
background: #ff2222;
background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#ff2222), to(#96588a));
background: -webkit-linear-gradient(#ad74a2, #96588a);
background: -moz-linear-gradient(center top, #ff2222 0, #96588a 100%);
background: -moz-gradient(center top, #ff2222 0, #96588a 100%);
text-shadow: 0 -1px 0 rgba(0,0,0,0.6)
}

a.button.alt:hover, button.button.alt:hover, input.button.alt:hover, #respond input#submit.alt:hover, #content input.button.alt:hover {

One more question. If you look at another page like this:

http://www.xotc.dk/testside/smagninger/smagninger/lordag-d-23-feb-kl-19-00-champagnesmagning/

, you can see there are whites boxes, which I also cannot control. This might also be related to WooCommerce?

I would like to be able to change these white boxes to a different darker color to match the theme style.

Sure:

(please be aware this is still a test site)

http://www.xotc.dk/testside/

Again, it is the WooCommerce styles (price colors + color of description text over the prices), that I would like to be in control of.

At the time I'm writing this, they are #7e9a47 and #fba0f9 according to color picker, and I have no idea why they are these colors.

Yes, but that's what leads to my question: How do I control the colors of that plugin? At the moment they seem to change randomly depending on what other colors I use in the theme.

How can I control the WooCommerce style font colors?

The current color are horrible and doesn't match the other colors of the theme.

Currently the price of a product is a green/brown'ish color, and the description of a product is light pink, and since the WooCommerce Style color settings doesn't work, I don't know how I change them to match my Propulsion themed website.

Hey Brodersen,

As far as I know the theme doesn't use those settings at all. So changing them shouldn't effect the front end of propulsion.

Regards,

I'm trying to change the style colors for the WooCommerce products displayed on my site, but when I go to WooCommerce>Settings>General, and pick new colors in the Style section, the colors just reset when I click Save Changes.

The default colors are:
Primary: #ad74a2
Secondary: #f7f6f7
Highlight: #85ad74
Content: #ffffff
Subtext: #777777

I would like to be able to change them so they fit the Propulsion theme better.

Hi colorit2,

It could be a conflict with Multisite, though I don't have a lot of experience with the WP Mu setups. My advice would be, if you have the ability, set up another single wordpress installation and do an import of the dummy data there. Then re-create the dynamic templates exactly as you see them on the single site for your multi.

thanks, Devin.

I have created a fresh new testblog within my multisite installation and imported the dummy data there:
all is available except of these many examples of dynamic templates. Therefore some example pages are not working as in the demo theme.

It hasn't something to do with a multisite installation, conflicting with the importer?
The Wordpress Importer plugin is and was not activated.

It would be great for me, to get these examples of dynamic templates in my WP installation, too, to reproduce the possibilites of Corona.

Hi colorit2,

I'm not sure why they didn't import with the rest of the data. I wouldn't suggest doing the import dummy data again as it can cause a lot of duplicated content created.

If you have questions on how any specific template/page was created, we can walk you through rebuilding them and populating the various elements.

Hi,

I've imported the dummy data. Why isn't there anything in the "template builder", all these example templates?
Can I import them from anywhere and how?

Thanks a lot.
