Hi baseartco,

A couple of things to try: First, re-upload the theme after re-downloading it from themeforest. There could have been an issue with the files at either part and hopefully this time the download/upload overwrites any of the corrupted files on the server (if this was the case).

The second is to deactivate any active plugins you have installed. If you have any caching plugin installed, clear its cache before deactivating.

Regards,

The scroll to top button that appears as a square in right side of demo, appears to be broken on my install of theme. It shows as a caret on bottom left with no box, and only appears below socket. Any suggestions on why this is broken or how to resolve?

Hi,

On the Template Builder, insert the column element. Try to follow these options.

Select how many columns you want to display, then choose the column width and content: 4 Columns
Column Content: "Post from category"
Post from Category: Select the category
How do you want to display the post?: Preview image and post title.

If you insert two or more column element then apply the options above you will get a grid like design of blog posts much like the portfolio overview.

Regards,

I would like to keep more or less the default frontpage template, except change the bottom element to be blog posts. The template builder, however, inserts a blog element with a vertical scroll of blog posts, and I would like to display blog posts like the portfolio feature or the woocommerce plugin does, with an image-based grid format (horizontally scrollable would be great too!).

How can I do this? I am relatively novice when it comes to WP development, and the backend of this theme is so "automated" that I don't know how to change much (I am accustomed to simply tweaking the stylesheet as needed). I am willing to put some serious time into figuring this out and/or money to pay for plugins if necessary, just need some help to point me in the right direction!

Thank you!

Hi ,

Please update to Shoutbox v.1,3 as you are not using the newest version of the theme. Log into Themeforest using the account you've made the purchase to retrieve the update. Please make sure to back up your website since the update will overwrite *every* file including your custom.css. If you've made any customization to the theme templates, they will have to be reincorporated into the updated theme. Please let us know when you've updates and how that resolved the situation with the slider.

Hey,

Your site has one of the coolest errors I've ever had the privilege of witnessing. I am thinking of submitting it to National Geekographics. Your social plugin is out to murder you, I would shut it down. Here is a video. It crashed me afterwards. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B8hqGBMSfHtKa2NqbTBVUmdLWlU

Hey wbp253,

I'm not having any issues seeing the posts on chrome on my end. It sounds like it may be some kind of odd caching issue. Are you possibly in an environment where there is caching going on of frequently visited pages or something like that?

In Chrome, try opening and viewing the site in incognito mode. Ctrl+shift+n for a new window in incognito then navigate to the site. That should force you to view it as a first time visitor.

Hi Nick,

Not sure if it's a browser issue or not. In chrome I can't find the first post, but can in safari.

At present the top post is http://propertyoddity.com/huf-haus-sale-thames-drive-charvil-berkshire/ in chrome and I posted a new entry about 10 minutes ago that hasn't showed up on the homepage yet. I can search for it and can link to it, but it doesn't show up: http://propertyoddity.com/converted-granary-for-sale-linton-cambridgeshire/

Many thanks.

Hi,

Is the post private? Can the post be found in the theme's search box? Are all blog post disappearing or just that one? Could you provide url to the post which doesn't show up please?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Devin,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I had made a bit of a booboo and it was a sticky. That said, even when I took off the 'sticky' and posted a new post it didn't appear on the homepage. I can view it and send others to the post url, but if you go to the homepage it doesn't appear.

Will

Hey wbp253,

I'm not getting any issue with the google ads but I do see the posts seem like they are out of order. Did you maybe sticky the 10 SEP post? You would be able to see it in the Publish box when viewing that individual post. It would say "Visibility: Public, Sticky".

If not, can you create a temporary admin account so I can login and take a look. Its a bit weird of an issue but maybe I can spot something out of order from the back-end.

You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn't grab it :)

Regards,

Devin

and for some reason the newest post is 2nd on the blog now.
For example the 10th Sep post is at the top and 17th Oct post (today) is beneath it.

Fantastic, that's sorted that problem.
Only now I can't see the google ads in the right hand sidebar or at the bottom of individual posts. As the page is loading I can see them, then just as it's nearly finished loading the page flickers and they dissapear. Any ideas what that might be?
The site is http://www.propertyoddity.com by the way.
