Hi bearcatsandor,

If you just do the Replete import while WooCommerce is active, it should set everything up for you. If not, the WooCommerce import will only add in the shop, checkout etc pages while the Replete import does portfolio items, and all the other various theme settings.

Regards,

Both woocommerce and replete ask me to import sample pages (cart, store) etc for my site. If i do both i get duplicates of course. In general is it better to import the theme sample pages or the woocommerce sample pages?

Thanks

Its the same layout but using a different grid names that the single-portfolio.php file uses.

The issue that I think you are running into is that you can't just make the_content span from the right column down into the new div container under it without using some very new and somewhat unsupported css or javascript. When you move the content, it moves it completely.

Yes, if you want to change the ajax portfolio layout too you need to modify wp-content\themes\angular\includes\helper-templates.php. Search for following function (located at the bottom of the file):

function avia_check_ajax_request()

It contains the content of the portfolio (single) entry which will load when the user sends an ajax request.

Hi Devin,

Thanks for your help.

My freelance developer and I have not gotten it to work yet.

When I am on the exact portfolio page, so we have the setup to be like:

Picture 1: http://www.videopr.dk/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Picture-1.png

But there is no content on the right side.

In addition, the same setup does not appear when you want to access the portfolio page in the overview.

Picture 2: http://www.videopr.dk/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Picture-2.png

Picture 3: http://www.videopr.dk/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Picture-3.png

Should we change another file too?

Thanks in advance.

There is nothing changed that I can see in the pasted code. You need to add a new twelve unit div just above

</div><!--end post-entry-->

then move:

the_content(__('Read more →','avia_framework'));

Into that new div. If you aren't comfortable with that step, I'd suggest looking into a freelance developer to make the customization for you. That way you'll be able to have any cross browser fixes and additional customization taken care of at that point.

Regards,

Hi CL10,

You'll need to edit the includes>loop-portfolio-single.php file so that there is a new container under the two main content areas and move the_content to display in the new container instead of where it is now.

from this php file Flashlight: config.php (woocommerce-config/config.php) and it seems to have removed it which is good, I just don't know if that is right way to go about it and what it will affect site wide, seems to go to paypal fine so it looks good on my end.
You guys would know if removing that code will do more harm than good.

Did I do it right?
THanks!!

THanks Ismael, for number 3, I made a new page and only put a name on the top, and then made that as the static home page. Typically for example the "sample page" shows Sample page at the top then all the text under it. For my home page I would like to just have the menu and background images, but right now the home page I made shows the menu, background images and then just to the right of the menu a block with the page name and no text under it as I did not put any. I don't want it to look like an about us page and let the user navigate there on their own. Pretty much what shows the the right of the flashlight logo I don't want on the home page I would like to use.
Hope that clears it up a little.
Any ideas on number 4? I don't want anyone to login as it will strictly be paypal navigation for purchase.

Thanks kind sir!

Hi,

1.) On the demo Kriesi used 1000x650px images for background slider.

2.) If you want to not show the rss button, you can do

.rss {
display: none!important;
}

3.) I'm not sure what you want to achieve.

Regards,

Getting ready to tear into this template and have some general good to know questions.

1- What is the ideal safe background image size to display on most widescreen monitors? I am going to use mostly wide images vs vertical where possible

2- Remove the RSS logo shortcode vs editing the hardcode which will get overwritten in any updates.

3- Have home page just display menu with no page heading displaying right of menu and then the user navigates to desired area

4- Remove the "my account, shopping cart, and checkout on the top of the cart page. Is this a part of the theme or a part of woocommerce?

Outside of that I think I have a handle, had to do some playing around for the shop pages and featured images disappearing.

Great theme!
Cheers

Thanks Kyena for helping out!

Sorry for closing the topic prematurely Pixelnourish. Neither Ismael or I registered your other question. As you know the forum is supplied through a plugin called bbPress. Kriesi only supplies a skin for the forum so the best place for documentation is at bbPress' website http://codex.bbpress.org/.

If you mean how to display the forum:
Just make a new page for your forum and add any of these shortcodes:

Hi,

Not sure why this was closed (maybe because I asked a new question from the original ones): http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/issues-with-portfolio-blog-sections but since it was closed, I figured I would start a new thread.

I've searched these forums in hopes I could work out the answer myself but came up with nothing. The question again, for ease, is:

Also wondering where I can read information about setting up the forum? There isn't anything in the documentation regarding it and it isn't clear how to, after installing bbPress.

I am obviously missing something, as there really is zero information on setting up the forums in the documentation.

Thanks.

I haven't tried it myself yet but I assume that you need to insert the image code/html tag as sub menu item under the category headline. As far as I know Shoutbox supports html code in the menu item description.

click on the menu item called "Mega Menu". The menu item options will open and one option (under the description field) is a checkbox option called "Use as Mega Menu ". Click on it and you'll get the mega menu :)

Hi Chris, thanks for the respond, I already did that before posting. What I really want to know is how to get the Mega Menu.

Anyhow, after I imported the dummy content and assigned the menu to the location, the Mega Menu submenu is a normal Dropdown menu.

Here's a screenshot:

That's how it looks in the frontend:

Hi,

We respond to requests in English, German, French and Dutch, however we prefer to use English as there's a larger group of people who understand said language.

In your Dashboard > Appearance > Menus you can select your menu settings where it says "Your theme supports 2 menus. Select which menu appears in each location." on the top left.

Lovely theme, so looking forward to customize it.
Is the preferred language to ask for support English?

Anyhow, after I imported the dummy content and assigned the menu to the location, the Mega Menu submenu is a normal Dropdown menu. Do I have to set it up somewhere specifically?
