Hi,

try this

You can also download Simple Image Sizes plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ and change the size therer , just remember that after changing the size, only new images are affected, not the old ones without regenerating them

Thanks,

Ok, so I did everything you said to do. This is what happened... I got rid of the RSS feed, and where the RSS feed was I can now scroll over that and it will have a link to go to Pinterest. The only thing is that my my facebook and twitter icons are still the same round gray, and where I thought my Pinterest logo would be, it is completely blank. You can see at http://www.bpoyandjo.com/sneakpeek

This leads me to believe I did my icon replacement wrong. When I went to go find my new icons, I googled the icon images, found ones I liked, shrunk the size own to be VERY small, saved it as a .png file, and then replaced the image files with those... so I am supposing I did that wrong?

How would replace these correctly?

ALSO, am I able to fit four link/icons in that area? I wanted to add in Instagram too... how would I go about doing that if possible?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Hi Devin,
First, sorry I got a bit impatient on that one; wasn't sure older queries were being checked as often, but I should have known better.

Second, that css file was created in BBedit and those special characters are definitely not in it. In fact I just ftp'ed it back to myself again to reopen it, in BBedit, and they are not there. So now i guess the question becomes why do they appear online? I've never had that happen before...

As a test I uploaded a file with absolutely no spaces in it and that was the only way I could get rid of those.

http://www.websitetogether.com/custom2.css

I suppose the best thing to do now is contact hostgator and ask them what the heck is going on; i changed to a VPS account and I have a feeling whatever is happening is related somehow to that, because it clearly isn't about the theme or about my file. I will update here when I get an answer, on the off chance anyone else ever has this issue.

Thanks again.

Hi kaylesimon,

It looks like you pasted in the css with hidden characters in it (maybe from Microsoft word or something like that). Take a look at your custom.css file live here: http://www.websitetogether.com/wp-content/themes/replete/css/custom.css?ver=1

Try editing your css/php files with something like notepad++ to prevent this kind of thing.

Regards,

I have been trying to do the same thing to no avail. In fact I've added the code in three different places: the quick css area, the custom.css file, and in my child theme, the style.css file. The code I've added in all three places is this:

body {
    color: #33333;
   font-size: 15px;
   line-height: 25px;
}

But the site keeps pulling from the base.css no matter what I do. Any notion what I might be doing wrong? The site is at http://www.websitetogether.com/avoid-wordpress-mistakes/

1) Ok, in this case I'd also ask the developer to change the entire header section.

2) Search for

I wanted to replace the entire heading including the logo- I'm going to have a programmer change the nav menu (too complicated for me) so that won't be included.- but I know I may have to have him do the entire thing if it's beyond my skill set : ) depending on if you can help.

1) Please elaborate - do you want to add a div / html element or just an image to the existing theme header (which contains the menu, logo, etc.)

2) Open up header.php and replace:

if(!avia_woocommerce_enabled() || avia_get_option('header_search') != 'product')
							{
								get_search_form();
							}
							else
							{
								get_product_search_form();
							}

with:

if( (!avia_woocommerce_enabled() || avia_get_option('header_search') != 'product') && !is_home() && !is_front_page() )
							{
								get_search_form();
							}
							else if( !is_home() && !is_front_page() )
							{
								get_product_search_form();
							}

Hi, is there a custom css code (or another way) to enlarge the default font size of the entire theme? I was hoping your theme options in the dashboard would allow for a main font size, but it does not.

Thank you in advance.

Basically you don't need to change the css code at all because the size of the surrounding div will change if you change the logo size. If your logo/image has a width of 622px the surrounding div will also have a size of 622px. However if you want to change the image size manually you can use following css code (insert it into the quick css field):

#header .logo, #header .logo a {
height: 200px;
width: 622px;
}

We wanted to increase the width of the logo_container from 200px x 100px, to 622px x 100px.

The documentation says to "...if your logo is larger you might need to modify style.css to align it..."

However the commenting in "style.css" (which is blank) says not to modify or add to this file but add to "custom.css"

Yet, in another location the documentation says to modify within the "function-set-avia-frontend.php" file. But we do not see a reference to the logo_container within that PHP file.

The generated source code looks like this. Which of these objects would need to be edited to widen the area for the logo?

Where, and in what file would we introduce that width change?

Thanks!
