Hi Sara,

The only way I know of to specifically control the thumbnail that gets cropped from the larger image is to specifically replace the single image via ftp. For Angular, this is a bit more complicated because there isn't a way to leave out a thumbnail/preview image from the main portfolio slider so you'll be replace the smaller version of a different image completely.

Depending on your upload settings, you'll find the imagename-###x###.jpg in wp-content/uploads. The filename is the image you want to change the thumbnail for followed by the size. In my 4 column portfolio for instance, it uses the filename-200x140.jpg, I would connect via FTP to my folder and replace that file with one of the exact same name and size but have a different image.

For #2, unfortunately there isn't a way that I know of to achieve this. The only way to remove a link from an image is to have it set to no link. The function that handles these sliders also handles all of the others on the site so modifying the code tends to have too much of an effect on the rest of the site.

Regards,

Devin

Hello!

I've tried searching the forum first, but can't find a solution to my two questions:

1.) On my work / portfolio page, I would like to create custom thumbnails / custom crops, without having to show that image in the slideshow once you click on the thumbnail. Right now it's pulling the first image to create that thumbnail, but it's a not-so-attractive crop of the work. Is their a way to create my own without pulling from any slideshow images?
2.) With the thumbnails I had it set that once clicked it links right to the post. But once you are actually IN the post I don't want the image to have a link. When you click on the image, it opens it in the same window. But I don't want that to happen at all! I only want the thumbnail to go to the post...once in the post, static image (not linked!)

I really appreciate any help... almost getting ready to launch!

Thanks,
Sara
