Hi,

No you can't do it. It will break the layout of the page and the responsiveness of the site.

Actually, you can move it on top a little but I think it will cut off the top part of the images.

.avia_fullscreen_slider li {
top: -66px !important;
}

Hi,

Just thought I'd ask this - as it might save me some work... Is it possible for the images to be resized so that the bottom of the image never appears behind the thumbnails of the background slider - that is just 'blank' background appears behind the the thumbnails. I'm just wondering if moving the position of the centre of the available window for the images up a bit say 60-120px might do the trick, or just redefining the available window to not include the area of the thumbnails might do it.

The alternative would be for me to upload images which have a section at the bottom the same colour as the background - problem with that is that might be imperfect for different screen sizes and images.

Regards,
Michael

Hi ftrasi,

Yes, in the slideshow editor for that portfolio item just click on the icon of the movie reel (after inserting the link to your video). A window will appear that allows you to set the thumbnail for the video.

Hi Ismael,
That way the link will go directly to Youtube, out of my site. I would like to replace only the thumbnail not the behavior of portfolio, the ajax box works ok.

Instead of adding a video, try to add an image then set the link to manual. Add the youtube url.

Is there any way to replace portfolio video thumbnails (linked from Youtube) for custom images? My site is http://puntomov.com/nuevo/

I know I could replace these thumbnails directly in Youtube, but I have produced videos in 4:3 and 16:9 and their aspect can't be chaged in this way.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, it may not be working if Kriesi disabled it, though I don't know this for sure. If you look in the demo, you can't see any thumbnail navigation. I'm having a hard time enabling the thumbnails again. I'll tag the rest of the support team to help us enable it.

Thanks for this...

in regard to using a Flickr plugin I have used Slickr Flickr before so Ive set it up and have place some CSS to turn it into a 4 row by 3 thumbnails whiich appear in column 3 of my footer.

In a previous theme I had help setting up some Java Script to enable me to get the thumbnails to glow on rollover. The theme had a similar CSS window in the theme styling as yours but also had a Java Script window where the script was placed. Where do I put this within Enfold? I assume its a PHP file? do I have to add anything to the code/format to make it work and where should it be placed?

Cheers

Here's the code.......

Query('.slickr-flickr-gallery ul li a').hover(
function()
{
jQuery(this).stop();
jQuery(this).animate({'opacity':'0.75'}, 200 );
},
function()
{
jQuery(this).stop();
jQuery(this).animate({'opacity':'10'}, 100 );

Hi,

I haven't tried using Flickr plugin within the theme but there are lots of plugins available. To name a few

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/awesome-flickr-gallery-plugin/

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/slickr-flickr/

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/flickr-api/

You can change the widget title with this

#footer .widgettitle {
font-size: 21px;
}

And the content with these

.widget {
font-size: 14px;
}

.minitext {
font-size: 14px;
}

Adjust the value.

You said before there was something to the left of the main menu? There is only but 100 pixels or less and I never seen anything showing up there in any version.
Thanks so much for the prompt response!

I was way overdue on an update, so I downloaded the most recent version of Flashlight as you suggested and it is now installed. It seems like the photos are showing up in the blog preview on the left sidebar now, but only on the blog page (called "news" on my site). For some reason, I can't get the posts preview to show up where it used to on my homepage (underneath the main menu on the left). Any ideas?

Thanks again.

- Alex

Hi Alex,

Have you set the image for the blog post in the themes gallery section? That is where it should be being pulled from.

There was a big update in version 2.0 of Flashlight that actually changes the gallery to the new version where you can actually re-organize the gallery and not have to freshly upload each image into it as well as lots of bug fixes since version 1.3 which you are on now.

So if re-setting the gallery image for the posts doesn't fix the issue, I would recommend updating the theme files by re-downloading them from your downloads on Themeforest and then uploading and installing the newest files in the same way you first installed.

That way at least we know we aren't dealing with an old bug that his already been fixed.

Regards,

Devin

Hi there,

Love the theme but having a bit of trouble. I'm pretty illiterate with this kind of stuff, so I apologize if I'm not able to express myself economically. If you take a look at my homepage (www.alexmandell.com/wp), you'll notice that the thumbnails aren't showing up for their respective blog entries on the sidebar. There used to be some kind of photo preview to go with the teaser of the blog entry on the sidebar, and now a blank box shows up next to the text even though photos have been attached to each individual blog post. How can I remedy this?

Thanks so much for the help.

Best,

Alex

Hi,

Can you try uploading a brand new image just to test because sometimes low wordpress memory prevents the regeneration from taking place though nothing is shown to make the user aware that it didn't work.

Also are you using the latest version of the theme since for me using version 1.7 , , its line 79 that has the slider_thumb image size defines in functions.php

Do you have a url where I may look, you can mask it with http://www.goo.gl

Thanks,

Hi,

Sorry I have discovered I can put a hyperlink in the title and the caption when the gallery is displayed as a background slider. For some reason this wasn't working before... maybe I had the gallery on autorotation...

Problem solved!

Hi Nick:

Sorry the delay, but I just got around to trying this again. It did not work. I added the "copy=>greyscale" to all the other available listed images in functions.php near line 65, and then used the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to regenerate the whole database of images.....

It's the "Related Entries" thumbnails when you're viewing any given Portfolio Item entry page that remain in color....those are the ones I'd like to convert to black-and-white (until a rollover, when they turn to color by default everywhere else)....

Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Hi,

I need the thumbnails in the background slider to be able to hyperlink to another page.... Can this be done? Or alternatively maybe clicking on the actual image to open a linked new window?

Regards,

Hi siteimpactmarketing,

If you don't want a slideshow for the various posts, you just don't set a slideshow image. Then you can use the themes template builder with the Blog element.

Regards,
