Hi everyone,

Is there a way to add the title of a post under the featured image showed in the "Related Posts" section? I love the way Enfold deals with related posts, but I think that possibility will give a better user-experience to my visitors.

Thank u!

Hey!

I am very sorry for the problems. it seems the update was somewhat lost when synced with github. Not sure waht happend. I had to rewrite the code and will put it into the next update. it should then work as descibed.

Once again sorry for the confusion! :)

Cheers!

Hi Everybody,

I just updated to Enfold Version 1.6, removed picture, put it in again, emptied caches etc. and ..... nothing new with the mentioned problem: titles, alt-texts and even the description do not show up in pictures used in combination with the Avia Layout Builder although alternate text, caption, description and title are all filled out. So please could you go on attempting to find a solution for this quite important issue?

Thanks, Harald

As an example please look at the following page:

Hey!

1) Yes, there's a small bug in 1.5 and we released a hotfix with 1.5.1.

2) I can reproduce the issue - I sent Kriesi a mail and asked him to look into it.

Regards,

Also, why does it appear there was an update v1.5.1 but there is no mention of it on themeforest? I can see from the 1.6 install video the guy has v1.5.1, as does one of the posters on this thread. My version was definitely only 1.5.

I've now updated to v1.6, but because v1.5.1 seems to have passed me by, I think I also need to update sidebar.php (from what I could see of the updated files on the 1.6 install video on vimeo). Since updating to v1.6, I still have the blank alt and title tags on any image inserted using the media element>>image on the page builder.

Hi guys,

I'm using v1.5 still (haven't updated to 1.6 yet), I've followed the instructions above from Kriesi but the alt and title tags still appear blank. I cleared my browser cache, still the same. Using the Avia Page Builder I am placing an image element into a 1/3 page element. The only time I see alt tags for my images is when I insert them using the text block element, which isn't ideal.

Are you sure v1.5 fixed this issue and if it does do you have any further suggestions for me? Do I need to update to 1.6?

Thanks,

Hey!

If you added the image to your content area/layout builder before the update you need to remove it and insert it again. The shortcode/builder element then saves the necessary image id as well, which is necessary to pull the other attributes from the database ;)

Cheers!

Hi rksystems,

Wordpress has some issues with the homepage title specifically and themes tend to compound it.

The best thing to do is use something like Yoast SEO and let it control your homepage title text (as well as general SEO).

Regards,

I have the frontpage settings set to my homepage on both themes but that didn't change anything. On the Incarnation theme, I was able to get the tagline to show up if I set my Wordpress Reading settings to: Front page displays - Your latest posts
Is it supposed to work like that? When I had the front page display as the specific page, then the tagline wouldn't show up.

On the Coherence theme I am having the same issue but changing my Reading settings results in the site saying:
Nothing Found
Sorry, no posts matched your criteria

Any ideas on how to get this to work? Thank you for your help thus far.

Hello,

I have a tagline setup in the backend of Wordpress, but when I visit my site homepage it only shows the site name in the title. If I navigate to other pages then it works fine. I have a couple different wordpress sites running Kriesi themes and they both experience the same issue. Any thoughts? I'm running Wordpress 3.5.1

Hi Ismael

I'm trying to do the same with http://aclgroup.co.uk/wordpress/larkswood/home/
All titles have gone from other pages apart from the home page, which still has the title "home" in the top left column of the content area.

If I try

#top .post-title
{
display: none !important;

	}
This gets rid of it but it also gets rid of the blog post titles (which I want to keep).

Is there a way of just targeting that individual title to get rid of it?

Hi,

I also prefere what nikicampbell is looking for, but in config.php there is no such code, I only can find this on line 367 (the only place I find if(is_product()) ) :

// on the product page single page modify the breadcrumb to read [home] [if available:parent shop pages] [shop] [if available:parent categories] [category] [title]
			if(is_product())
			{
				//fetch all product categories and search for the ones with parents. if none are avalaible use the first category found
				$product_category = $parent_cat = array();
				$temp_cats = get_the_terms(get_the_ID(), $taxonomy);

				if(!empty($temp_cats))
				{
					foreach($temp_cats as $key => $cat)
					{
						if($cat->parent != 0 && !in_array($cat->term_taxonomy_id, $parent_cat))
						{
							$product_category[] = $cat;
							$parent_cat[] = $cat->parent;
						}
					}

					//if no categories with parents use the first one
					if(empty($product_category)) $product_category[] = reset($temp_cats);

				}
				//unset the trail and build our own
				unset($trail);

				$trail[0] = $home;
				if(!empty($shop_id) && $shop_id  != -1)    $trail = array_merge( $trail, avia_breadcrumbs_get_parents( $shop_id ) );
				if(!empty($parent_cat)) $trail = array_merge( $trail, avia_breadcrumbs_get_term_parents( $parent_cat[0] , $taxonomy ) );
				if(!empty($product_category)) $trail[] = '<a href="' . get_term_link( $product_category[0]->slug, $taxonomy ) . '" title="' . esc_attr( $product_category[0]->name ) . '">' . $product_category[0]->name . '</a>';

			}

			// add the [shop] trail to category/tag pages: [home] [if available:parent shop pages] [shop] [if available:parent categories] [category/tag]
			if(is_product_category() || is_product_tag())
			{
				if(!empty($shop_id) && $shop_id  != -1)
				{
					$shop_trail = avia_breadcrumbs_get_parents( $shop_id ) ;
					array_splice($trail, 1, 0, $shop_trail);
				}
			}

			if(is_product_tag())
			{
				$last = __("Tag",'avia_framework').": ".$last;
			}

			if(!empty($last)) $trail[] = $last;
		}

		return $trail;

Hi my client wants the model number listed for each gallery photo. Right now the gallery items just say 1/24, 2/24, etc. What do I need to do to have the file number or description in the lightbox. I told client we could put that in the tool tip but he wants it in the lightbox.

Thanks much
