Yes, I solved it with the help of a freelance code
But everybody else, using the theme and using the german wp will habe this problem.
So maybe you should think about fixing that for the future !?

Hi alconsulting,

It looks like you got everything sorted out. From another post you mentioned hiring a freelance php coder.

If you are still having the above issues, let us know and we'll take a look again. We've been a bit swamped the past week so we are trying to catch up :)

Hi,

Here: http://www.hebammenblog.de/ueber-mich/#comment-34

you can see three things:

- In the first comment, below the gravatar-logo it says: "Antworten" in german. This is not coming from the mo/po-files. And it cut's off the beginning of the comment itself.
How can I fix ist?

- Second thing is: In the black counter-box is not enough space for the german word Antworten, which is a problem when having more than 1 reply. At the moment with one comment it just fits in place.
How can I make the black box wider (just a little bit!)

- Third thing is: In the comment-plugin for notifications the text is way off the checkbox. When replying to another reply it is even worse!
This is the second plugin I am trying out with the same effect, and I don't know how to solve it.

Can anyone help us?

We are launching the blog Tuesday, so we are a little up tight! ;-)

I saw that someone wanted to translate their own language but I couldn't reply in that thread.

I've translated my blog into Swedish. What I did was that I downloaded PoEdit: http://www.poedit.net/download.php

Then I made a copy of default.mo & default.po that can be found under /lang in the Sentence-folder, and renamed them to match my language (sv_SE). If you want the blog in German then you need to rename the files to de_DE.mo & de_DE.po.

After that I opened the .po-file in poEdit (the icon has changed to a terrestrial globe).

When you have that file open, you can translate all the keywords that you would like.

When you have translated all the wanted keywords, upload both your de_DE.po & de_DE.mo files into the folder /lang in Sentence on your webserver.

Hopefully this will work. In order for this to work you need to have German installed as your main language in the WordPress Dashboard.

Hello,
I'm having problems to translate Velvet to spanish.
Like caruso_g, I have edited default.po file with POedit, made the translation and saved it as "es_ES.po". Then I have uploaded the files es_ES.po and es_ES.mo to the folder wp-content/themes/velvet/lang... but it does not work (:-[
Any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? The url of the site is http://contextodecomunicacion.com/depitotal.

Hey,
1) WordPress must be set to "Italian" mode (admin backend text, etc. in Italian )

2) The it_IT.mo ! file (and the it_IT.po file if you like) need to be in /wp-content/themes/velvet/lang folder (not /wp-content/themes/velvet/lang/lang)

Hi, I edited default.po file I found in /wp-content/themes/velvet/lang/
I called it it_IT.po
and put it into the existing folder /wp-content/themes/velvet/lang/lang/
so that the path was like /wp-content/themes/velvet/lang/lang/it_IT.po
I finally set in my wp-config.php my language like: define('WPLANG', 'it_IT');

Sadly, the translation doesn't work.

Looking at wp-config.php file comment:
/**
* WordPress Localized Language, defaults to English.
*
* Change this to localize WordPress. A corresponding MO file for the chosen
* language must be installed to wp-content/languages. For example, install
* de_DE.mo to wp-content/languages and set WPLANG to 'de_DE' to enable German
* language support.
*/
I also tried to create a /languages/ folder and put my it_IT.po (yep, AND .mo) file in it, but again, without lucky.

Thanks in advance for your help.
