@xGSTQ Yeh! That's what I am talking about. One of the nicest implementations I seen in awhile. Looking good!

You have a jqeuery error though. An inline block above google analytics that looks like

<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
$(document).ready(function() {
    $("area[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto();
});
</script>

needs to be changed to look like

<script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
jQuery(document).ready(function($){
    $("area[rel^='prettyPhoto']").prettyPhoto();
});
</script>

Because you are now throwing

Uncaught TypeError: Property '$' of object [object Object] is not a function

Hi turboper4mer,

There was a big update from the version of the theme you are using to 2.0 and now 2.1 about a month back.

Update the theme to the newest version and then give things a try.

Outside of that, its a theme built around photographers and portfolios. Turning it into a full fledged ecommerce solution that a business is built around is going to take a significant amount of work if you aren't able to quickly customize code and modify the roots of the system you are working with.

Regards,

Hi turboper4mer,

Please update to the most recent version of the theme files if you have not already. As xGSTQ said, 2.0+ redid the image gallery integration for exactly those reasons. When the theme was originally created, WooCommerce didn't have as much functionality as it does now and it took a while for a way to update it so that it didn't force users to completely re-make all their products/portfolios and attached image galleries.

Regards,

Are you using the latest v2.1 theme ?

My featured images set fine for variable products

The only thing you cannot do is use variable images (theme does not support that)

If you are using v2.1 , I would deactivate ALL your 3rd party plugins and test the featured image function

You all have been great with all the help, but now I cannot get images to show in a variable product, does this template also have a design issue which prevents it from working with woocommerce product variations and their featured images?

It is very frustrating to spend endless hours trying fixes and researching what others have done and yet not find the fix!

From the hover issue on the CUFON FONTS which the theme originally comes with and later found inability for woocommerce add-on to work properly in variable product mode for measurement pricing, to now finding image loading issues required per product instead of just using the same image from a folder. Non-display of product images and I wonder what else I have not discovered and will have to learn through test and trials! The site has a lot of handicaps when it comes to using it with woocommerce.

Is there going to be any fix down the line for all these basic quirks or is it the end of the road for developing fixes for Flashlight.

Should I be looking to scrap this theme and look for a refund or credit to move to another theme with you. one more capable of working with woocommerce and it's add-ons and gallery usage plus featured image simplicity for loading images!

Yes I did but no change, so I am waiting for a fix and using regular fonts...I have another issue with the PITA image gallery and featured images for variable products!

If you have variable product I cannot get the images to show on the product page or as featured image using the gallery and the individual image loadup in the variations.

I figured out a fix for featured image if you set the featured image in wordpress and not flashlight and move out of the page without updating the featured image sets itself to the last image in the wordpress featured image box.

Its a good looking theme but has too many compatibility issues to woocommerce and the image gallery handling is terrible in this theme.

Appreciate any help!

Yes, any font that is supposed to be easily readable and generally considered body font isn't wrapped in the cufon font for better readability. Its the same as the text in widgets, all dropdowns and other text areas that are not headers.

ok but that is for the layout, what about the Font usage and placement of text?

Hi turboper4mer,

No, the variations come out as a table with each dropdown one after another. The other options are in their own div class so you could potentially create new css to change their layout but it isn't something we can do for you. It would need to be done by a developer so that the customization is exactly as you need it.

We'll have to wait for Kriesi to address the hover issue. The only solution for now would be to not use a cufon font for the menu though I know that isn't ideal.

THANKS for the variations fix, it works! Now can they be made to be in two column layout? so they do not go so deep down?

The hover link colors are still not working, I added a green color #30c42d to links so they really stand out while testing but the main navigation link lights are out! The color is also set in the above code you provided for hover color, I replaced the color code with the same green code.

Try to add following code to css/custom.css:

#top .main_menu .menu a:hover{
color: #ff0000 !important;
}

Afterwards clear your browser cache and check if the color of the menu items changes to red (mouse hover event).

Hi turboper4mer,

The variations can be made transparent with:

#top.single-product .variations td {
background-color: transparent;
}

The Primary and Secondary colors set in the styling tab should actually be adding those hover colors to the main menu but it looks like an old bug with cufon is causing them not to work. I'll have to email Kriesi and I'll tag the head of support on the issue as well.

Regards,

Devin

I need to make the variable product variations area transparent like the rest of the page, the code I got is not working.

.woocommerce-page select, .woocommerce select {
background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.8);
}

I previously in another post asked ..is there a way to have the Main Menu Navigation links to change colors when mouse over based on the colors selected for links and link hover?

I got this response

The main color is set via the body. The links and hover color is set generally with:
a{
color: #FF000;
}
a:hover{
color: #0004FF;
}

I think the same can be done using primary and secondary colors in Flashlight Styling. What I want to do is make the MAIN MENU NAVIAGATION change colors when mouse is hovered and also on the sub menus. Please see the website tosigns.com and play with the main menu navigation

Thanks,
